who do you think is the underdog Pacman or Hatton??

People, are entitled to their opinion, but should always be backed up with logical facts to go with it. I'll break it down simply by stating known facts not a lot of people know. Pac walks around @150 plus when his not working out. making him really a legit 140lb as stated by Roach. Hatton is more seasoned?? Don't think so, Manny has more fights under his belt than hatton has. Fought the best while climbing up in weight is a feat in itself. Fought 53 times in his career, more than money may, Dlh, or Hatton. Ktfo barrera morales marquez diaz, dlh and whats common about this is that he makes these fighter look old coz his just to damn good that people mistake them as past their prime, not really getting the fact that its just that manny is just too good. A freak of nature who carries power up to 147. So to say manny has no power at 140 would be really stupid to think. His a seasoned veteran with now a skill set of a boxer and a brawler to boot. So I ask you this.You think Hatton can win? He can out of pure luck. But facts tells the whole story skill goes for pac. speed goes for pac. Power I believe is equall. ring general ship goes for pac. And based on body type their almost identical. But what people forgot to see manny has the bigger wrist by an inch which is big in finding a true puncher. Which trainers know is a mark of true puncher. Bigger wrist bigger punching output. The reach 2inch longer for pacman. So you guys get the point. Facts don't lie. Ricky is the underdog here. Accept the facts.

I dont know, i think and i think and i just dont know. As far as im concerned theres too many ifs and buts at the minute to help me make a match up of the 2 and their skills and talents and the rest.

It would not suprise me to find the betting odds to be very very close if not exactly the same.

pacman walks around at 150 but then Hatton walks around at abot 168-170. doesnt really tell you anything. Other than Hatton couldnt step into a ring with Mikel Kessler and win.

And its not just about being at that weight or being strong at that weight, your guna have to be super strong to keep Hatton off you hes able to out muscle any natural lightwelter out there easy, and if you cant keep him off you your guna get relentlessly smashed up with the only break being the end of the rounds.

but then if Pacman can match hattons strength it all swings his way, he can keep Hatton at a distance and when he comes in you hit him, push him off you and hes then open to anytihng you like.

But like i say, these are all ifs and buts and we just dont know, theve never fought each other and they havnt swapped enough opponants to look at those fights to see how they coped.

First of all he battered a Barrera that was struggling to make weight, he certainly didn't dominate Barrera that way second time around when Barrera had lost quite a bit of his old ability. Secondly the first fight with Morales he got owned and then Morales started to slip and finally Oscar was definitley on the slide. He looked poor against former contender star Steve Forbes which speaks for itself in his previous fight and taking nothing away from Pac he just didn't have the speed of old, and as Roach said Oscar CAN'T PULL THE TRIGGER ANYMORE. When did he KTFO of Marquez? The 1st round of the 1st fight was great for Pac but he didn't look good against Marquez again and IMO lost the second fight.

Hatton IS the naturally bigger man and though he aint as good as Oscar once was he's certainly better than he is now. Power defintley has to go to Hatton, and the body work Hatton has is way better than Pacs, though speed and skill def go to Pac.

With these thing's in mind I think it is a 50/50 fight and I'm still struggling to come up with a winner. It all for me depends on whether Hatton can slow him down with body shots, but mark my words this will not end like Hatton Mayweather did. Hatton was a big underdog for that fight and Pac for all his greatness is not Mayweather!

I have to say Pac... Hatton has shown his toughness at 140.. At 147 he looked shaky, but apart from Mayweather, no one else was able to get him down and he took a lot of good punches from 2 or 3 fights and stayed standing and punching..

I have 100% belief that Pac will be a really strong fighter at 140 and will be the man to beat there one day, but I think Hatton is the proven guy there, so Pac has got to be the underdog.. EVEN if people think he is going to win, he's still the unknown quanitity at that weight up against a guy like Hatton who has been doing the hard yards there for years..

Hatton is the underdog according to the bookies, and I would imagine that the majority on here think Pac will win too.

Yes our bookmakers make Pac clear favourite to beat Hatton. These are similar odd to ODLH Pac though and they were in favour of Oscar. Hmmm interesting!

I don't think anybody was suggesting that Manny was the underdog. Quite the opposite in fact. Which is why I thought it was an unsual thread. It's Manny who is favourite to win this fight.

Manny is the obvious favorite, he just beat a bigger guy than Hatton, and he's the #1 p4p, could arguably beat anyone not only at 140, but at 147 as well. I don't see Shane or Cotto being able to deal with him, I think Pacquiao is too good at what he does now.

Pac is firm favourite, hense the odds with the bookmakers, and these odds are determined by where the money is going.

I personally start Pac a slight favourite something like 8/13 in my book. But look at Mosley and many more he was a big underdog.

What was the Hatton/Dela Hoya Pac/Dela Hoya thing?? the odds or the result??

Cos im pretty sure if Hatton fought the same Oscar as Manny did we would have the same result and if your saying the favouties would be in the two fights pre pac/Dela Hoya, these were the odds:

Dela Hoya was a 4/9 shot to beat Manny
Dela Hoya was a 2/5 shot to beat Ricky.

So basically they were the same odds, if this fight was made before Manny had fought Oscar i think we would be looking at them being around the same odds, also your Manny fights for his country etc etc, Hatton has some of the biggest balls and heart in the game he comes to fight go look at the 12th round of the Collazo fight to see he just keeps coming and coming, this will be a great fight.

Miles is right here dude. Your thread asks the question and then in your first post you've enforced the answer suggesting an opposing opinion would be just plain wrong. All this is, is opinion and doesn't lay out the fact that Pac has never fought at this high in weight against a man never before beaten at 140. On paper, you could argue this is 50-50.

I should point out though, that I'm a huge Ricky Hatton fan, but I don't see him winning this one. Better facts to produce would have been for you to suggest that Hatton has had difficulty against southpaw fighters, and fighters who specialise in speed. I think Pac wins, probably over 12 but I wouldn't be shocked by a stoppage.

Dont matter who the underdog is. But the winner is Hatton FACT!

I was under the impression that Pac would be the underdog here but oh well. I say pac is the underdog because he is going into a division in which it is dominated by Hatton and this should make Hatton the favorite but I guess other people see in Hatton what I see, a little pink drunk who blows up too much in between fights and that life style is taking it's toll. ;D

Aside from being the oddsmakers 2 to 1 favorite, PAC is considered as the no. 1 boxer at 140 according to Boxrec... ;D

PAC clearly the favorite... Just imagine we picked PAC to defeat Hoya when PAC was a 2 to 1 underdog, how much more now that PAC is 2 to 1 favorite to trash Hatton?? ;D
