I was reading recently that Eric Morales is considering a comeback and wants J. Marquez. I for one think it is a bad idea but can you imagine if he got the fight and pulled off the win?

god no
Morales legacy is set in stone for years to come
marquez at 135 would be like lennox lewis coming back and getting knocked out by samuel peter!!!
dont do it erik. If needs be i`ll actually give you half a million just to keep away from the ring ;D
I can't believe he could get down to that weight. :-\ JMM wins.
I guess the rivalry between him and Barrera lingers on.;D
Barrera Morales 4. Another PPV superfight to put in your diary.
A waste of time.
Morales is as cooked as a sausage overdone on the grill.
Erik may be washed up but we knew that after the Raheem fight. He would still give Marquez a good fight but Marquez is fresher so would probably win comfortably
For Morales to get a 4th fight with Barrera I think there would have to be a title on the line. Then it would be the 1st time in history that 2 guys met moving up in weight each time for a world title. My money would be on Barrera
However Erik is younger than Marquez and Barrera and they are still fighting regularly . Erik has been well rested too so Id welcome a comeback. Only problem is making the lightweight limit . That division has a history of high profile fighters failing to make weight.
JMM is at a point where he is making only meaningful fights, a shop worn semi-retired Morales doesn't qualify.
JMM now would murder Morales! The trilogies with Barrera and Pacquiao have left him way behind. They were all gruelling and Morales took the worst of all of them.
5-6+ years ago I would have had my money on Erik to win comfortably though!
These two guys are burnt carne asada.
How old is Morales?
Isn't GBP promoting him in this return?Even when he's old and gray......long retired,Morales will be a warrior at heart.
But Im afraid this will end suddenly and roughly.
If he does comeback and im sure he will I hope he has tune up fight fight not go against JMM first.
Yeah no kidding, he is about as shopworn as a fighter can possibly be really. It's a shame he's just such a stubborn and proud man that as long as he can get out of bed on his own accord he'll keep telling himself he can win big fights. I realize this isn't rare in boxing but how badly does he need to get bludgeoned before he accepts that it's over, yeesh. Any good the layoff could have done him will be pretty well nullified by diminished reflexes and who knows if he can even make the weight at all. You've got to wonder whether he is being coaxed into this, I really hope he has some people that would level with him well before any real negotiations come around.
Although I love Morales, I think he's a totally washed-up fighter. He's just taken too much punishment in the ring, which, of course, is unfortunate.
That being said, I think a full medical evaluation including an M.R.I. of the brain should be performed prior to giving him any chance to step back in the ring.
Morales is done for, I know he's not coming back for a 4th rematch with Pac
Sad, really.
What has me thinking more is that his wife is not keen on him fighting again, she's really worried for him.
I hope this is just a rumor and he doesn't go on with it.
Is it only me that feels Erik will be a champion again? No matter how biased I might sound I'm tellin the world he beats Marquez fair and square.
This guy has been in many wars and taken many blows all in the name of entertaining the fans and that he did but I personally don't want to see him get hurt. Marquez is really too much for many people let alone Morales. He's had his day but if he gets hurt, they'll be many nights he wishes he just retired. Let us remember a great fighter and not one that made the same mistake of coming back without all his tools.
