JMM is the worst pound for pound #1
IF Juan Manuel Marquez becomes pound for pound #1 then he is the worst pound for pound #1 EVER.
First, he is not the most exciting boxer to watch.;D Pac is!
Second, he has the habit of being knocked down by Pac especially in the early rounds.;D
Third, In 2005, Márquez was stripped of his WBA super and IBF titles, for his inability to defend it against various boxers after potential bouts failed to draw a bid.
Fourth, In 2006, Márquez attempted to regain a title, coming up short in a decision loss to Indonesian boxer Chris John for the WBA Featherweight championship title.
Fifth, he won his titles in the lightweight division against old Casa and a non-pound for pound Diaz.
Sixth, he hardly won against an old Barrera while Pac pummeled Barrera to submission while Barrera was still the featherweight king.
Seventh, he will never be the pound for pound#1. In case, Hatton wins over Pac. HAtton will be number 1;D;D;D
Eigth, those who claim to be knowledgeable in boxing but who really does not know about boxing will react to this thread madly.:-X

Re: JMM is the worst pound for pound #1
You are so excited about this that you have started the thread twice??

thank you for noticing that. ;)

Re: JMM is the worst pound for pound #1
Brother Bruce, I like your opening salvo...
"IF Juan Manuel Marquez becomes pound for pound #1..."
;)
But there's a big chance for JMM since PAC will retire at the end of this year...

JMM is an outstanding fighter , who is an old school guy , if he loses , he bounces right back . I dont see how anyone could have anything bad to say about this guy.

Exactly, JMM is a class fighter. His recent resume is outstanding. He beat the good Diaz and only the judges beat him against Manny.
I don't actually have anything against Pac, but I do want him to lose badly against Hatton. It's the fans and these threads that I'm countering against.

What I don't like about JMM is, he's always whining about his losses saying it's all robberies... PAC gave him a chance to redeem himself but he can't avoid a KD and can't really convincingly get the judges nods... I really hope JMM will rematch with Chris John in neutral venue and prove that he was indeed robbed when John defeated him in Indonesia...

Of course he should complain. He won way more of the 24 rounds than Manny did. He's a better boxer than Manny. But Manny has that speed and pop to put Marquez down and take big rounds.
He deserves another shot, Pac has only legitimately beaten him once and that was a rip off in the eyes of many.

Many who have eye problems, Pacquiao clearly won that fight, only and idiot would think otherwise, so if people want to argue their intellect is clearly subpar. Any arguement they make is clearly because their IQ is two standard deviations below the norm.

Which fight in particular, or are you referring to both of their fights? As has been pointed out elsewhere, the general consensus amongst boxing writers and seemingly amongst people on here, is that Marquez deserved the verdict in the second bout.
Your post is a little strange. It seems as though Taeth has been taken over by a lunatic who has had difficulties learning English as a second language. ;D

We all know that a KD matters more than winning a round... That's why it's scored 10-8, 10-7, 10-6 (hope all judges now know how to score a 10-6 round), etc.
I'm inclined more on JMM having a rematch with Chris John so that JMM can really prove he's been robbed in that fight... A 3rd fight with PAC is also good but considering PAC has only one fight left (after Hatton) before he retires then I want to see PAC go for another bigger challenge than JMM... It could be PBF or Cotto, who knows?? ...
.

Honestly Taeth I see it more so as some of his over zealous close minded fans that are on the receiving end of it,sometimes it comes off like a borderline cult mentality..... it really does a diservice to Manny Pac Imo.

Yeah we deserve it but PAC also deserves his retirement... Fighting for 15 years and 55 fights, a finale fight against a PBF or Cotto type opponent is more fitting for PAC than facing JMM again for the 3rd time... And there's plenty of fight out there coz for sure it will not run out... Even if you clean up a division, there's another division waiting... Even if you clean up your contemporaries, there's the younger generation coming up... Good fights will never run out... So it's the boxers' own prerogative on when to call it quits... PAC said one more fight after Hatton and I favor that it will be against a PBF or Cotto type opponent... Win or loss, I think it's the more fitting fight...
.

Pacman will slice and dice Hitman so bad, that Hatton will gonna end up looking like Spongebob by the end of the fight.

Have they settled on a name for Hatton vs Pacquaio event yet??
May I suggest 'Hatton vs Pacquaio - The nut-huggers await'

Whoever wins, this place is gonna be full of hard on's for either Hatton or Pac..at least for a few weeks

Re: JMM is the worst pound for pound #1
Manny is the current P4P #1 but I can honestly say that I think he's probably being overvalued due to his exciting nature. Don't get me wrong, he's accomplished a lot and improved as a boxer but I think that people are willing to give him the title based more off of his excitement. I was always pissed that JoeCal wasn't P4P #1 over Manny. JoeCal was a much better boxing talent than Manny. He was undefeated, and legitimately conquered two divisions, yet because of his lack of excitement, he was never given his due.

Overvalued? Pac has given all the viewers their money's worth or even more than its worth. very exciting to watch. he has fought the top guys in his division and now climbing up to challenge bigger guys. all his fights are non stop action except for the one when MAB just went to the ring to get his last biggest pay. also the reason why he is number 1 is because he is the hottest item there is. i haven't heard anyone called out calzaghe they way boxers are callin out pac. Dawson was challenging him but Joe pussied out and retired like a little biatch.
Btw. Where he has been during the the prime of Jones, Hopkins or even Trinidad, Wright and Vargas and Toney when they were at Middleweight.. Oh I forgot, Joe has his Ass paste in Wales.

Unless Kahn wins then all the rug huggers and magic carpet riders will be in here telling us they are the kings of boxing and what do any of us know...
So we will have them and the PAc fans having it out amoungst themselves on who is the most knowledgable boxing fans in the whole world.
Imagine all those centuries of knowledge riding on the back of one gifted fighter in one weight division. Wow .

Yeah, I wanna see all these embedded videos of Pac getting pummeled on all of "Hattons' Huggers" threads.

Re: JMM is the worst pound for pound #1
Well, how did you find a thread entitled " JMM is worst pound for pound#1" ? Did you react similarly with the thread entitled " Pac is the worst pound for pound #1 ever" ?
Those who reacted differently, this is what I can say to you : Hook, line and sinker! Grow up!!!
My hypothesis was proven. Your claim that you like Pac but hate his fans and therefore hate Pac because of his fans shows the kind of boxing fans you are.
I can't blame you on that. That's the way you were raised.
It's clear though that you are showing biases on different threads.
I know I would be getting neg reps. It's my consolation however that those neg reps come from people who are not truly boxing fans.
Those who are neutral would simply shrug it off and go to other threads and would say to himself: "What a dumb thread from Bruce! I don't know who's dumber between bruce and eagle (who started a similar thread to antagonize PAc fans)..... Ahaha!!! Bruce started this to know who are biased so I will not react to this. I'm too smart for you bruce..."
Those who reacted violently like the infamous VD would have said to himself:" This is the opportune time to neg rep bruce. The only one who dared to show to the world how dumb I am in this forum. Bruce owned me countless times already and I hate Pac coz he is the epitome of someone I will not become and therefore I hate all his fans. I will neg rep bruce ... at least to console my broken self"
Peace.
This is brucelee speaking... thank you for listening.
