What boxer doesn't talk smack and try to make a name for themselves with a bigger name fighter? Calzaghe will beat Froch any day of the week. I don't see why Froch doesn't call out Kessler or Bute and unify the belts 1st and then start calling out the big fish. Crawl before you start running.
Please tell me how Froch beats Calzaghe??
His power is average, his defense is piss poor, Joe would rip him a new one it would be a one sided beatdown.
Yeah - lets see Froch beat Taylor and than Kessler and than maybe he can call out Joe...
I dont think there is a fighter at 168 or 175 that can beat Joe.
I hate to sound like im just hatin on him but he hasn't really done anything at all in his career. So far it's like he's a good pro boxer, with on arright career who hasn't tested himself at a world class level.
So why invite the critisicm this sort of talk is gonna get you.
Why on earth is Froch any more highly regarded now than he has ever been? Because he was in a good action fight against Pascal, nevermind the fact that Pascal isn't anything remotely special himself? It's odd to me how a fighters stock can go up just because they were forced to dig down and fight hard, when it was against a somewhat ordinary opponent they did so. If anything that fight reinforced his limitations. Im fairly out of the loop recently, is the Taylor fight still on? I give Froch very little chance in that one if so. Calzaghe would toy with him, that wouldn't even be a fight imo , and certainly not one worth coming out of retirement for from Joe's perspective, unless Froch is really a big enough draw domestically. Id really only want to see Calzaghe fight Dawson if he did want to keep on, but I guess considering Chad is rematching Tarver you couldn't complain to much if he did fight Froch.
I consider Kessler to be a lot more dangerous than Froch in every ways possible, same for Bute, seeing how Joe did play with Kessler, I fairly assume that Froch would be shredded the same way if not worst. I give him credit for calling out Joe, it is a proof of courage I suppose, but I will give him the credit he owes the day he'll call out pubicly Bute and Kessler too.
As we all know i hate Joe Calzaghe , but ive seen nothing in Froch that suggests he could ever beat Calzaghe , Froch should put up and shut up , as he is fast becomming a legend in his own mind.
Just incase of confusion i dont think froch would beat calzaghe, Not even close.

Yep this sums up Joe.He (Joe) would win the fight on the cards but thats it, no beat down. Froch has never seen the canvas as a rookie or pro.And Calzaghe dont have k.o power, last person he even tko'd was manfredo and that was a bad call.
froch will get banged ;D
haha
bang bang bang out goes froch.
Calz has power. He can back up his opponents. If he didn't have power they would stand there in the pocket and time him when he throws his "weak" punches. Kessler is Joe's greatest triumph imo. He (Kess) will not see another defeat in his career. Beat the Viking Warrior better than Joe did and I will give any1 props.
Just wish Kessler would fight some more world class opponents. He kind of ducked in his shell after the Calz fight.
We don't really know how good Pascal is. He was unbeaten coming into the Froch fight and it was a hell of a fight both fighters did themselves proud and came to fight.
It's not really fair to say he's nothing just because he lost a war with Froch, and its not fair to say Froch is nothing because he struggled to beat him.
All I know for certain is that they both showed a tremendous amount of heart and courage in their fight, with both fighters hungry for the title and trying to win the belt right to the final bell.
Pascal has not beaten any world beaters but he's fought and beaten the same guys that the likes of Andre Ward, Arthur Abraham, Henry Bucanan and Yusaf Mack have built their records on along the way and beaten them just like they did, maybe not as spectacualrly I don't know but the point is he hadn't slipped up along the way and was clearly a cut above that level and therefore not far off the world's best at 168.
It will be interesting to see how he comes back, I'd certainly be happy to watch him fight.
I like Froch but he should not mention Joe, he will never achieve what Joe has done. Carl has been respectful about Joe but people pick out what they want to hear.
People needto forget about Joe, he wont be back.
Pascal is a good boxer, I follow him quite a lot as he heads out from Quebec, he has power and speed but his technique has to be improved; his shots are often large and a bit telegraphed. I don't know if he'll become world champion someday but he can definitely creates surprises and can definitely be considered as a top 10 of his category, time will tell us the rest.
If Calzaghe comes out to fight Froch that's only important for UK boxing, especially since I reckon JT will have bust Froch up by then. If Joe is to come out I hope its too only fight one of Dawson or Hopkins
If Froch beats Taylor, Joe just may be tempted out of retirement.
nahh i have a feelin even then he wouldnt
Joe aint ever coming back!!!
What we do know about Pascal is he was almost sparked out twice against Pittman who has only mediocre power. Based on that I figured Froch (who I considered to be heavy handed) would have hurt him something fierce. But that didn't happen. I thoroughly enjoyed Froch/Pascal because it was level competition, but neither guy showed the skill to hit the top level.
Getting rocked by a journeyman doesn't mean that you have a weak chin necessarily, Holyfield was almost KO'd by Bert Cooper, Ali was on the verge of losing to Henry Cooper, Cotto was rocked by De Marcus Corely, Hatton got dropped by Eamann Magee etc.
He certainly doesn't look to have a weak chin to me Froch caught him flush several times and he's knocked out plenty
Calzaghe exposes the no defense one dimensional Carl Fraud.
Unfortunately though Bilbo, guys like Henry Cooper only counted as journeymen in the days when there was 1 title. Now he would probably be a 10 year alphabet champ or something. I also wouldn't consider Corley or Magee on the level of Pittman, who I think qualifies as more of a journeyman than any of those guys. However, I actually do think Pascal has potential, he's only about 26, hasn't really been in the wars, and I thought the judges were very harsh on him, I only had Froch winning by 115-113. I think he's got something, he just has the problem he's in a pretty stacked division now, which looks like it will only get tougher. If his body can, might be worth Pascal looking at maybe gettin down to MW.
Calzaghe would have to much speed for Froch, he would be all over him, but Froch is not worth Joe coming out of retirement.
I think if Joe comes back it will be for a rematch with Hopkins in cardiff infront of 50 thousand, that will be the only fight worth it for Joe.
