Is anyone a fan of Gnocchi?

I absolutely love pasta like Ravioli, Tortellini with Bolognese or an awesome creamy bacon and mushroom Cabanara sauce..
BUT, one thing I totally can't stand and don't know how ANYONE could possibly be fan of it is Gnocchi. The little balls of potato that you eat with pasta sauce..

I have had it forced under my nose twice in the last month, and I honestly cannot eat a single one without thinking of Dog testicles, or Kangaroo testicles.. They are just the most horrible shape and texture and don't taste much better than they feel..

Some people are nuts for the stuff, but personally I think i'd actually prefer eating a bowl of dog nuts as they would probably have a better flavour..

It sounds horrid, but I am a fussy eater and a lot of the stuff the that passes as food is horrid to me. You could probably get a bowl of dogs testicles here actually. :D

it's not so much they look like nuts but it tastes like sludge, not a fan.:-\

I've had here stateside a couple of times and thought it was pretty good

If somebody served me a bowl of dog testicles with gravy and mash I'd eat them no bother.

I'm not a fussy eater, the only thing I won't eat are insects, as for dog testicle, kangeroo bellend, fish eyeball, if its on the menu and cooked no bother to me, you eat the rest of these animals so why not those parts?

I'm a HUGE fan.. but i am also a full blooded Italian.. It's almost an obligation.. but i really do like them a lot.

I'm the same way I can't stand them man. I love absolutely love Italian food but just can't stand gnocchi.

It's decent, not a favorite of mine, but I wouldn't turn it down either.
It also is one of those words like pergola that you make everyone take a shot when someone says it.

Love gnocchis. Like RP33, it is the italian influence. Not in our family but our city. Atleast 50% italian.

The difference between good and bad gnocchis is in the sauce. Gotta be good made from scratch italian tomato sauce with some meatballs on the side.

Yeah well maybe that's it.. I love all Italian food except that.. But i've probably never had it cooked or prepared properly so maybe at a restaurant or cooked by a bonofide italian mamma it would be much better than the ones I had.. But any other pasta I love and they say you can't love everything..

There is no better food to eat before you go out drinking.

Pizza is one of those things I've always wanted to eat because it looks really good. But I can't eat it because I always hate some of the things on top. I hate cheese and will have issues with at least 2 other ingredients. Its a shame because, like I say, it looks really nice as a whole.

I love Gnocchi.

I part boil it then bake it the oven topped with Pesto. Bit of garlic bread. lovely :lickish:

you've never had pizza?

I mean, you know, it's really easy to make.. you need dough and tomato sauce.. you don't have to put cheese on it!

Gnocchi is lovely with sage leaves and butter..bella..magnifico

with a side order of insects..high in protein and delicious to boot..yum.

Gnocchi is fucking choice. Love that stuff.
