Tyson Fury , what's there not to love !
Big heavyweight ,good looking ,great name and not a bad fighter !
He's green and talking alot of shit but no less or more than any other fighter out there who's dreaming big dreams .
So far he's not sitting down on his punches uses the range well and throws alot of punches !
He seem's to have an excellent boxing brain doesnt charge in ,picks his punches use's his feet well likes to slide on to the backfoot even if he doesnt look the the most graceful, but then again neither does Vitali .
I like the kid clumbsy at times but he has the world at his feet in terms of potential .
Good luck to the kid .

Re: Tyson Fury , what's there not to love !
Man I love the guy, maybe if he can ditch that stomach for a bit of extra muscle who knows how far he can go? Just aslong as he doesnt punch himself in the head in too many fights ;D
-
Re: Tyson Fury , what's there not to love !
Yeah but he has the basic idea of not getting on the front foot .
Raw materials and a good brain .
Very interesting .

Re: Tyson Fury , what's there not to love !
Can't stand him, the '5 times better than any HW in the world comment' pissed me off, and I think its all the crap Khan gets for saying a lot less that winds me up. Hope that David Price has him for breakfast

Re: Tyson Fury , what's there not to love !
Do you know who he is fighting on the Jermain Taylor/Carl Froch card?

I hope this fight is on ITV aswell

Re: Tyson Fury , what's there not to love !
I thought he looked average at best in his first pro fight. He looked much better in his second, better conditioned and sharper, with a good trainer he could do very well IMO.
Remember he is only 20;)

Re: Tyson Fury , what's there not to love !
Fury will not reach to the heights Audley Harrison reached. That's a fact. Boy needs to go do more sit ups.

Dominic Guinn? For his fourth pro fight, respect to him if that's true but I can't see anyone throwing a 21 year old novice in with a veteran like Guinn who is basically a gatekeeper to the top 10.
Guinn is lazy as fuck and underachieving but you wouldn't put a 3 fight novice in with him, Guinn would confuse and outbox him, and maybe even knock him out if it was 12 rounds

Re: Tyson Fury , what's there not to love !
Tyson is a good fighter getting better with each performance

Not like you to rubbish a British fighter...........oh wait;D
Fury has lots of potential. He is young, hungry, appears to have Tonnes of heart, appears to have a good chin, is a big bastard and has one of the best names in the sport. He is also fighting stateside in his 5th pro fight!!
I'm not gonna get over exited too soon but I think he will give the HW division a welcome boost.

Re: Tyson Fury , what's there not to love !
Shows some promise but don't any of these guys know we don't want to hear about how they're going to rule the world and no one can touch them blah blah . He should look at Audrey and do the exact opposit, pull your head in learn your craft and as they say actions speak louder than words. I appreciate you need to talk yourself up and do some promotion but look at how many backs Khan has gotten up mostly though making noise.
Good to see someone willing to go Stateside early and take a chance though, bring back Big Frank, just plodded on until he got there in the end :D

Re: Tyson Fury , what's there not to love !
To me, he looks kind of clumsy and in desparate need of some strength training. If he can get strong and in good shape I'll begin to like him. I have the hardest time respecting someone that is too lazy to work out. He could be in excellent shape in no time if he was dedicated to it.

I have nothing against Fury , but i dont think he has the power needed at top level , also having a good name doesnt mean alot. But im prepared to watch and give him time to prove me wrong.

Re: Tyson Fury , what's there not to love !
yeah, he also needs to get some better shorts to back up all that talk:cool:

Re: Tyson Fury , what's there not to love !
I cant get the picture of him punching himself in the head out of my mind.....That was HILLARIOUS......
Good thing he is still somewhat green because if he really sat down on his punches he may have KO'ed himself already....
I really cant comment too much because I havent seen alot of him but from the few you tube clips I have seen and what I have read, he doesnt have alot of power and people seem to think he is overrated.
I do like the fact that they seem to be moving him along quickly so we should know whether he is the real deal or not soon.....A fight with Guinn would be a nice test.

Re: Tyson Fury , what's there not to love !
Deontay Wilder is also green, but he would manhandle Fury :D
-
Re: Tyson Fury , what's there not to love !

Re: Tyson Fury , what's there not to love !
Am I the only one thinks this fight with Guinn is just a completely untrue story?
He's only had 4 fights he's not going to fight a gatekeeper to the top 10 after 4 fights.
Guinn has fought at the fringe of world class, always losing the big fights but never close to being stopped and fighting 12 rounders.
How is he going to fight Fury?
I guess it would have to be a 10 rounder if Guinn was involved but who in their right mind would stick a 4 fight novice in with a tricky awkward, slick fighter with decent power and who can 12 rounds with ease.
If Tyson fights Guinn right now he will lose. It simply won't happen.

It's a gamble, I'm sure you agree that it's pretty refreshing should this fight go ahead? Some fighters like to do things the hard way and don't care about padding their records and keeping that 0

Re: Tyson Fury , what's there not to love !
I can't believe what some of you are saying !
Here we have a confident young lad who's a little too brash for some and you've already got him beat !
I'm not saying he's gonna do this that or anything other so what if he gets beat by Guinn after 4 fights ?
As for him getting into shape ? Well as far as I can tell he's had no problems throwing alot of decent looking punches , rather him be a loose limbed puncher than some Lance Whittaker type who's fucked after 3 rounds .
Give the kid his due he's got the world at his feet nobodys thinking about world titles and I'm sure he will bought down to earth soon enough .
As for him learning from Audley ? Well I aggree with that line about pulling his head in and learning his craft but I think he has a little bit more charm than Audley who always struck me as bit of an arrogant tit who talked a good fight
I just said he had alot of appeal and a good idea of the game he's nothing like the front footed bully some people are saying he is and what alot of us in the UK are use too .

Yeah, when you look at heavyweight prospects you look at things like how fluidly they can move, how good their hand-eye coordination is. You look at him punching himself in the face and you think hmmm. :)

Re: Tyson Fury , what's there not to love !
He looks like the Peter Crouch of Boxing. Might be effective but can't watch him as he looks too funny.

Are you trying to say that a fighter should spend a fight doing something other than trying to hide his dignity when he accidentally got shorts sized ready for Butterbean.
As for him punching himself in the face, I imagine he's not the first nor last to ping in an uppercut deflected back at himself off the durable head of someone else.

Re: Tyson Fury , what's there not to love !
I think if he losses atleast 10% of his body fats he would be able to fight at welterweight. And if he develops some lean muscles he would be able to knock the fukk out of himself. I didn't watch the video so I can't judge his chin..did he took his own punch well or did he wobbled all over the place?;D

Re: Tyson Fury , what's there not to love !
arm puncher....Hes a good arm puncher :D
