Friday night fights...Lopez vs.Duran

A bit of a late start tonight as NBA rules the night but better late than never.Should be a solid card and Im hoping they air the entire thing.

In the main event world ranked middleweight contender David Lopez 37-12 (23) takes on Spoiler and cagey Ossie Duran 23-6-2 (9).Dont let the record fool you,Lopez has put together a nice run going 19-2 in the last 7 + years.He's not your proto-typical 'Mexican' fighter and can be a pretty diverse and a thinking southpaw,very active right jab and good mobility.

Dont know how solid these are in making the air ...or as it looks actually happening ? but a Good undercard with Rock Allen 14-0 (7) vs. Adan Hernandez 14-6 (5) & Amateur stand out Hylon Williams Jr 8-0 (3) going against Julio Chavez 6-3-1 (2).....dont blink. In the co-feature victoria secrets fav customer Demarcus Corley 33-10-1 (19) is in a literal crossroads meet with undefeated Hector Sanchez 17-0 (8) Corley has come up short when he goes against the best and is bordering on journeymen status.Needs a convincing win tonight to stay alive.

David Lopez is in my stable in Galaxy's Fantasy League... ;)

First time seeing Karl Dargin.Seems in with a set up vs. stocky as shite Rudy Valdez opening the card.Dargan is pretty damn fast

Dargan is just bludgeoning Valdez on the ropes here in the 2nd round.Missing Sheep,Diane and da crew :-\ ...Huge weekend is upon us :box3:

Dargan has some nice range and just doing as he pleases

I'm glad that ref stopped the fight, even though it was the last round. Valdez took enough punishment, and didn't need to take anymore.

Corley with the KD, but Sanchez looks to have recovered.

Third round here.Just realized they dumped this to a ...OHHH Sanchez just got caught and dropped hard off a right hand!Corley is going for the KO.Sanchez moving out and countering,seems to have found his legs.His head stands sooo tall though.Corely going wide with hooks but they payed huge dividends in that round.Hard shot and solid KD,brutal

Sanchez really finding nice movement here in the 5th.Corley following and looking to apply on the inside.Every now and then,Corley gets him in the corner and looks to unload.Fosters...thats a nice brew;D.Hope to see Rock Allen.Gave Sanchez the 5th.Not pretty but Sanchez has him on a leash right now.

6th opens with Lopez sweeping body/head shots.Duran showing left jab well.Lopez goes to body and back to head.Long right misses by Duran.Durans feet stationary and letting Lopez come to him.Just not responding in kind.Duran needs to press.

Round 7...Double jab from Duran backs Lopez.Strong right in return from Duran.1-2 to Durans body and he shakes his head.Fast right hand misses from Duran...Lopez showing a bit too much patience.I dont think Duran can keep him off when Lopez chooses to assert himself.Left from Duarn lands and he jabs at Lopez.

Round 8....Duran really is sharp with that right hand but it is one and done.Early in the 8th he is pressing it.Swift counters from Lopez as duran stands at distance & waits.Nice mix to head and body for Lopez and he slides out.That jab is hellacious for Duran if he steps it up.

Poor Saul being joked by Teddy lol.Final round...Nice right from Duran and Lopez responds with straight left.Pretty solid back and forth but Lopez workrate taking it.Duran clinching to end it and both raise the arms claiming victory.Lopez is not a 'destoyer' but he has gears.I like him better at 160.
