I think Clottey wins, too. I think his style is too rugged for Cotto. Good defense and a steel chin. Good, solid puncher. Good body work. I think he beats Cotto.
I think cotto should win with a tough UD. Clottely is very tough and I wouldn't be shocked if he won, I just don't think he will.
There is no doubt in my mind that this is the end for Cotto. He will fade out like Vargas did. :cool:
Clottey will do to Cotto what Foreman did to Frazier.
Despite his problems with his trainer, I think Miguel Cotto doesn't just beat Clottey he beats him up.
Clottey has shown a good chin vs guys like Margarito and Judah but I think Miguel's power is different than those guys and his body work is great. I also think Miguel is a very slick boxer when he chooses to be, I just hope he pays closer attention to stamina/conditioning for this fight because he's known for taking rounds off and gassing out but just hanging on to win.
I like Cotto's chances....I like this fight better than Cotto going vs a solid 1 punch KO power fighter like Kermit Cintron whom even though I hate him is more dangerous to Miguel than a guy who can absorb punishment and be outboxed and maybe doesn't have 1 punch power
Margarito v Cotto II?
I know this fight will be great , both will have to give everything on , to shown who is the best , but Cotto had demonstrate his improvement in speed , double jabs , lateral movement , boxing skills and have more power punch than Clotey though his work to the body would be one of his keys and i don't have any doubt that Cotto will put more attention to improve his Stamina much better than when fought Margacheato , so i know Clotey is strong , have some little power and good resistance , i don't underestimate him , he is good fighter , but have the disadvantage that he is slow , in where to me we have to see him in exchanges punches to see if he can hold Cottos power .................;D
Clottey doesn't fight at a fast pace so I don't see him wearing Cotto down like Margo did, should be a good fight though still, but I'll take Cotto. I don't really like this trainer thing though.
I've never really seen anything impressive about Clottey other than durability.
I'm sure he will give Cotto a workout for a few rounds but will give up trying to win by around the 7th or 8th and will be happy to finish the fight losing a respectable points decision.
I doubt it will be a barnburner either, Clottey is not exactly Mr Entertainment and I think we will see a decent Cotto display, some nice handspeed and movement catching Clottey in the late rounds but with Clottey just looking to survive rather than fight.
No knockdowns, neither fighter hurt, just a routine workmanlike points win for Cotto, prob 117-111, 116-112, 118-110

doubt that very much, Vargas folded the way he did due to lack of mental toughness, than later on due to physical limitations (his back), Cotto IMO is a tougher mentally and basically that's due to his upbringing, both uncle and father alike are very serious and basically have a no bullshit attitude, i think Cotto will win actually pretty easy, but even with that said don't rule out the possibility for a Clottey victoryQuote:

Never bet any money on a fighter who is unproven or who is most well known for his losses, rather than his wins. Yes Joshua Clottey is bigger, he has the better defense and has the edge in the countering battle.Quote:

I like Clottey in this fight. His physical and mental toughness will make it a very competitive fight. Its a close call, but I think it comes down to who is hungrier.
Think its dangerous for Cotto early.And may come down to Clotteys desire and willingness/ability to get shots off immediatly.Down the stretch at this point,I think Cotto sharpshoots him to a 12 round win.Hats off to Cotto for taking this without delay.
