Juanma Lopez predicted his victory by KO against Penalosa !!!!
Juanma Lopez yesterday made his last pre-weight , where had 126.2 pnd. , 2 pnds. less that supposed to have (128.1 pnds) .......and say that to make the weight is the less thing that doesn't worry him.........
He also recognized about Penalosa , that he is a good fighter with a lot of experience , but he predicted that will be a first boxer who will KO Penalosa ..................." I don't have any doubt of that " commented.....
" Although I always prepare very well for fight 12 rounds , i don't want any Fans misunderstand me and think that I'm overconfident
or something like that ".........." I'm saying this because i know how Penalosa fight , most of his fight Penalosa always goes toward to front and receive a lot of straight left and right hooks i know that i will going hurt him a lot ".............................
Lopez answered to Penalosa and Freddie Roach about their comments that made of Lopez and said " They said that they know about me ? I really dont know what they know , they said that when i fought Ponce D`Leon i received a lot of punches ;D;D;D , i dont know what punches because that fight just took almost 2 min. "....................;D That was that Lopez said between smiles...............

Gerrys never been stopped in 62 fights.
But then again I it's apparent that JML has fucken huge power in his hands. I'm thinking here and I can't remember if I've ever even seen Gerry hurt or wobbled by a punch.

I'm leaning more towards juanma's crazy young power (and that for the couple of sec's his fights last he can actully box too) than i am gerry's super tough old chin and defense.

I think it would be impressive if he beats Penalosa but not so much in a one round blowout I'd like to see him go some rounds and stopping him late would be more impressive then a one round blowout but we'll see

Lopez has to knock him out. He knows he can't let the old man go 12. Lopez is bigger, stronger and faster. If this goes the distance than it's obvious Lopez is not as good as he's being made out to be

Williams was the younger, bigger, stronger, and faster fighter and he didn't stop Wright, i see Juanma/Penalosa as the same type of fight

We want to see several good rounds from these 2 good boxers... It's a shame if this will end in 1 round only... If it reach to 5 rounds (or more), it's already a decent show...

Gerry is set to leave tomorrow for PR. He was trained part time by Roach for this fight. Penalosa is a very smart guy. I think he knows what's up.

That is the point SaddoBoxer , with all pressure that Juanma got in fights before , we never seen him committing mistakes my friend , not even when fought with Ponce D`Leon to be a World Champ and i know that always have an a first time , but i seen on him that have the peculiarity in be very careful in what he doing with his opponents , he dont like to miss punches , is very precise and believe me this Juanma is ready for fight 12 rounds comfortable , if Penalosa think in go at the distance , he will test , Juanmas discipline is very admirable , for who thinks that he would not be good fighting 12 rounds.................

Thats about what young,undefeated blazing 'superstars' are supposed to do.Take the old warriors to a pace and place that has left them behind.I have never been big on guys pounding their chests over time and predicting jaw dropping Kos on long reigning & very crafty fighters.They set themselves up for pit falls.He's bigger,faster and very strong but you are not going to just steam roll through everyone over the years as he steps up.Lopez needs to keep a level head and be smart,he may just learn a few things along the way.Hes not learning alot going all out for 1 round KO's.Nattas.
The longer it goes,I think Penalosas prospects increase.Lopez has set the bar now & he needs to meet it and if the quick KO does not materalize...dont go all jungle.I dont think Penalosa has to bring huge power on him as much as he needs to answer and capitalize on rushing mistakes,just hit him clean and often,counter.Great,great crossroads fight.

i don't think he's gonna stop Penalosa, but i do think he's going to show off more of his actual boxing skills and outpoint Penalosa rather comfortably something like 9 rounds to 3

I hope gerry luck but Juanma is one of my favorite young fighters, i think a juanma victory is best for the sport. It should be a tough fight for both guys though.

even though De Leon had a "win" over Penalosa i credit Gerry as being Lopez's toughest challenge to date, i think he'll test him like no one has before but on that same note Lopez has the toughness and skill to cope and outbox Penalosa, and has the power and speed to make him respect him, should be a good fight
