Nonito Donaire vs. Fernando Montiel
This will be entertaining, exciting, blockbuster.Cant wait for this one to happen....Who you think will win?KO.TKO ,SPLIT D,UD,.....What??? Of course not the DRAW,I hate draws.
-
Re: Nonito Donaire vs. Fernando Montiel
Donaire would win easily. He's bigger, stronger, a lot smarter, and above all...
HE'S GOT MORE EXPERIENCE FIGHTING ABOVE 115. 70% of his KO wins in his record were from 115+.

IMO Montiel stops Donaire between the 6th and the 8th
-
Re: Nonito Donaire vs. Fernando Montiel
Both fighters are very capable of winning....i say either way by split decision.
-
Re: Nonito Donaire vs. Fernando Montiel
I think Montiel should collide with Darchinyan instead of Vics collision with King-kong...but that wont happen now.I like Fernando ;D.Donaire has clearly out grown 112,etc love his sharp shooting & range.I think Montiel takes him deep, especially underneath in a war.
-
Re: Nonito Donaire vs. Fernando Montiel
Donaire looked great in attack mode against Martinez. But there is no way he fights Montiel that way. If he does he gets knocked out. Either way he loses.

Again, that's coming from VD. How many has he predicted correctly when there is a filipino fighter involved?

me too...truth is i want to see how good Montiel is.That is if he survives Nonito's power punches.

Re: Nonito Donaire vs. Fernando Montiel
I dont think anyone can beat nonito at his division. His going to remain champ for a long time. He should unify and crush Montiel, Z Gorres should of but he came up short. Nonito will get the job done. Vic is force to go up in weight and away. He wants no part of Nonito.
-
Re: Nonito Donaire vs. Fernando Montiel
think nonito takes montiel to school. gorres wasn't having a hard time finding him and nonito is a better boxer than z with more power. gorres actually got cocky in that fight with montiel and would have had an easy win until he got caught.
-
Re: Nonito Donaire vs. Fernando Montiel
Id rather not take MONTIEL lightly,he is a master of comebacks. How many times he came back from knockdowns? That is why this fight is a must see...but im confident NONITO will prevail.

One problem I see in this Donaire-Montiel match-up is, WBO won't sanctioned this fight as a WBO bantam title fight... Montiel is the interim WBO bantam champ while Donaire the IBF/IBO flyweight champ, different organization and different weight division...
There's more chance for Donaire to challenge the IBF bantam champ and that will be against.... TADA.... winner of Darchinyan/Agbeko fight...;)

Bob Arum's magic will thresh out everything.Anyway ,i prefer a fight with MONTIEL for Nonito. The rest will come next.Dont get me wrong...this is just a wish from me.

I know Arum can do some magic with these boxing orgs... just pay a fat sanctioning fee... ;) but jumping 2 divisions then fight for a title in another boxing org is quite difficult to maneuver...
I'm also in favor of Donaire vs. Montiel... We already seen Donaire vs. Darchinyan and it's not even competitive...

I can't exactly remember if I picked Gorres on that one but did you noticed Montiel's badly beaten face after the Gorres fight?? That proof alone deserved at least a draw IMO... Z schooled Montiel in the early and middle rounds...

Montiel always lumps up. That's nothing new. Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't it Gorres who was dropped more than once and had to hug Montiel like he wanted to make love to him in order to prevent from being knocked out?

I suggest we'll call it as it is, a draw... There's no point of arguing about that fight anymore...
And officially, you have no correct prediction when there is a filipino fighter involved...

:lolhaha: Montiel got the win. He kicked his ass in his own back yard. When Montiel requested the rematch be in Mexico, Gorress showed his true colors and declined. Montiel knocked out Maldonado instead

BTW, 2 wins of my boxers (Donaire and Viloria) last weekend pushed your fantasy stable into bankruptcy...;)
;D

Re: Nonito Donaire vs. Fernando Montiel
I've got Montiel beating Donaire. Don't get me wrong, Donaire really impressed me this weekend! Donaire could build a legacy against guys like Narvaez, Koki Kameda, Viloria, Kaovichit or Naito, possibly Calderon & that'd be great but taking on Montiel he's leaving with a loss!

Montiel took another power punchers shots just fine and he was bigger and had a hell of a lot more pop in his punches, his names Jhonny Gonzalez, Montiel is not a bit chinny

Montiel is 39-2 (29 KO's) Donaire is 21-1 (14 KO's)
Montiel started at Flyweight and had roughly 18 fights at that weight
roughtly 12 fights at Super Flyweight
and roughly 7 fights at Bantam weight
Donaire has only fought above 112, 14 times, 19 fights against better opposition to 14 fights against shit opposition, hmmm i wonder who has more relevant experience at the higher weights

Too many "roughly" there for Montiel.
Numbers, stats, and size speaks for itself for Nonito. Donaire has more experience fighting at higher weight class than Montiel. Nuff said.

Gonzalez is bigger, stronger (height, weight, and reach), and has all of his fights above 115 and never hurt Montiel, what makes you think Donaire will? Montiel lost by SD to Gonzalez and it was his first fight at Bantam, that has to say something, and the fact that Gonzalez went on to challenge Super Bantam king Israel Vazquez and was easily beating him and had him down 2 times i believe before the resilient Vazquez came back to stop him, says even more about Montiel's ability to take on bigger fighters and do very well

Credit to Montiel for facing those big names. But everything will be different for him under the lights if he faces Donaire. Montiel gets hit a lot and that's a well known fact (I won't even argue about it). I've seen Montiel down on the canvas more than twice. Left hook to the body is his money punch, and Donaire can easily avoid them with his quick reflex and can easily fire counterpunch against Montiel at will.
I hope they fight sooner than later to find out whos the man!

Many boxing experts/fans including here at Saddo expect Martinez to give Donaire a tough fight... There's a considerable number of people who even picked Martinez to upset Donaire...
Montiel doesn't have the reach to match that of Donaire and he's only as tall as Martinez... Tho Montiel has the experience, I still expect Donaire to outsmart and outskill Montiel...

Donaire only landed his sharp accurate punches on Martinez cause Martinez was exactly what i said he was before the fight, he was a sacrificial lamb with an undefeated record, being slayed to make Donaire look good, Montiel is no pushover like Martinez and will be Donaire's toughest opponant since Darchinyan
Many boxing experts/fans including here at Saddo expect Martinez to give Donaire a tough fight... There's a considerable number of people who even picked Martinez to upset Donaire...
Montiel doesn't have the reach to match that of Donaire and he's only as tall as Martinez... Tho Montiel has the experience, I still expect Donaire to outsmart and outskill Montiel...
.
I will include this in my expectations come fight nite.

I suggest we'll call it as it is, a draw... There's no point of arguing about that fight anymore...
And officially, you have no correct prediction when there is a filipino fighter involved...

:vd: It's funny how you and the rest all jumped on the Donaire band wagon afterwards. I knew about that muthafukka before all you clowns. I had him beating Darcinyan. Post number 9 says it all.

Look how many of your flip buddies pick against him. Now all you guys sucking his dikk all of a sudden. :lolhaha:
Let me remind you VD why you picked Donaire during that time when almost everybody was picking Darchinyan.
You picked Donaire because you hated DArchinyan. You always pick a fighter's opponent if you don't like the guy. You never pick based on intelligent decision. That is one thing I'm sure about you and many will agree with me on that. Stop making claims that you know Donaire before he fought Darchinyan.
