I recall seeing clips of Duran & Leonard back in the 80's & how good they were with jump ropes. I can't recall seeing any clips of anyone doing fancy stuff like Duran could these days/lately. Anyone see any modern fighters with rope work that impressed you?
Hate to admit it but Mayweather is probably the best p4p ever.
You gotta check out floyd mayweather jr with a jump rope he can do some amazing things with it.
Thanks guys, I almost wrote that I'd bet Floyd would be good/great. I never saw Manny do any rope work other than the basics but he seems like he could be a great one too.
Roy Jones is pretty good at it, and was amazing at it in his prime, I am sure guys like Gamboa and Rigondeaux would be great at it if they do it at all.

I was @ the gym @ lunch today & saw this hot little blonde with great legs roping & she's what made me think of this. She was roping like someone who'd done it before - a lot!
Duran was amazing IMO but PBF is the best in the sport today, that I have seen anyway.

Floyd is silky smooth on the jump ropes. But I am always amazed by Duran. People just tend to think of him as a power puncher/slugger. But the man was an incredible athlete and boxer...and he was damn amazing on the jump ropes.

I read about Duran alittle bit. I heard he didn't even know how to jump rope when started at the gym. He would take my vote.
LOL, no just about boxers jumping rope & that I hadn't seen any good clips lately like I recall of Duran. Some people rope like it's the 1st time they ever used one, this woman had nice timing & was believable when she told me she had a lot of practice.Quote:

I recall reading once that Jeff Chandler jumped rope for 45 minutes - I'm not sure if he never messed up in that time but think about the condition a guy's in to jump rope for that long!
