David Hayemaker Haye WAR-WAGON! ALL ABOARD ! WOO WOO !!!
EDIT:
BREAKING NEWS:
June 3rd, 2009.- The Fight is OFF. Haye injury.
CURSES!
Boxing: Haye out injured | Setanta
"Haye has been forced to pull out of his proposed heavyweight title clash with Wladimir Klitschko through injury.
The British hope suffered the problem in training ahead of the eagerly-anticipated bout, which is to be screened live on Setanta.
It will be a heartbreaking blow for Haye, who championed long and hard for the opportunity to shake up the division by taking on the best in the business.
His controversial tactics in goading the Klitschko brothers into action caused a stir but, ultimately, it secured him his crack at Wladimir on June 20.
An independent verification of the injury is required before a decision on the future of the fight can be confirmed and a new date fixed for the Schalke showdown.
The event was a sell-out in Gelsenkirchen and more details will follow on the breaking news when available."

Today's June 3rd, the fight's just 17 days away!
Fight's on June 20th, 2009.
The Hayemaker David Haye's date with destiny.
"...And NEEEWW Heavyweight Champion of the World, David Hayemaker Haye..."
http://img99.imageshack.us/img99/478...yemar82008.jpg
The curtain is finally being drawn on the wilderness years when the Klitschko brothers and other bland Heavies held the titles in purgatory.
http://img50.imageshack.us/img50/9497/wladklit113.jpg
Finally a man with personality who can't help but bring excitement is on the scene!
Gonna cover that sexy crotch V-line with the Heavyweight Title belt !
Gonna prove what a perfect-sized fighting man can do.
Men over 220 are too big.
Show the younger boxing fans the truth about what 215 pounds used efficiently can do.
Speed, power, coordination.
Too much size compromises speed, endurance, and athleticism (coordination).
The unified Cruiserweight champ to claim the Heavyweight strap and become a Champ in 2 weight classes.
Haye and Klitschko confrontation on an escalator:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jnOANul82TwHaye's gonna show how a young hungry contender is supposed to come and TAKE the Championship AWAY from the champion, TEAR it AWAY from him, BEAT the Title out of him.
Reminds me of this fight below, and we all know how that one turned out:
http://img87.imageshack.us/img87/382...igjessjuly.jpg
http://img207.imageshack.us/img207/3...ladpress01.jpg
Haye's gonna light him up with speed, legitimate Heavyweight power, aggressiveness, lateral movement, combination punching, energy, and the mindset of a Champion who comes to destroy.
Wlad's cagey, cautious, 6′ 6½″, 246 pound big carcass is hitting the deck within 4 rds, a Champion shorn of his Title.
Some David Haye highlites:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XS1TO8nEaB8This fight ought to be called "The Battle of the Chins."
I wouldn't be surprised if Haye doesn't kiss the canvas himself at least once courtesy of Wlad before getting back up to claim the KO victory.
Guy's a thrill-fighter.
Once again, the old term, "The-Greatest-Prize-In-All-Sports" will start to mean something as it once did, a return to Heavyweight Glory.
Gonna be over 60 thousand people in attendance in the German Stadium to witness it.
30 thousand tickets sold the first day they were on sale in April.
Biggest Heavyweight Title fight since Lennox Lewis fought Mike Tyson in June 2002.

All Aboard the David Hayemaker Haye WAR-WAGON!
WOO WOO !!!
Chugga-chugga-chugga-chugga WOO WOO !!!
Who's with the bradguy?!!!
Look for Wlad to pull out of the fight at the last minute.
And dammit, there's H1N1 flu reported in Cyprus, the island where Haye's training.
CURSES!

“…I’m the future of the heavyweight division.
I’m gonna go out there and kick @$$ with them big, fat, slow, bulked-up, over-crap heavyweights who are gettin’ knocked out one after another, so stay tuned in to my Heavyweight domination.
…middle of next year, Wladimir Klitschko, I have a good feelin it’s gonna be over here in Vegas, and watch me knockin’ this big bum out.”

Re: David Hayemaker Haye WAR-WAGON! ALL ABOARD ! WOO WOO !!!
Heavyweight scene needs a fresh young cocky champ like david haye desperately
on the other hand though if he does win it he`ll never shut the f*ck up about how he slayed one of the klitschkos!!

Re: David Hayemaker Haye WAR-WAGON! ALL ABOARD ! WOO WOO !!!
Although I don't think he will (give him a 30% chance of winning) heavyweight boxing needs a Haye win to revitalise it.
I just don't think he's big enough physically to meddle with the big boys.
Lets just say he gets past Wlad, how the hell does he deal with Vitali who's even bigger ?
But yes 3 rounds max one way or t'other....bring it

Re: David Hayemaker Haye WAR-WAGON! ALL ABOARD ! WOO WOO !!!
We are about to enter a new era in Heavyweight boxing. A new great following on from Lennox Lewis.
Haye has the style, skills, speed, power, reflexes, tenacity amd charisma to become a truly Great Heavyweight Champion.
On June 20th he will be crowned.;D

That was a worry!
Seriously though like him or hate him Boxing needs Haye to KO Bitchko and bring the Heavyweights back to life.
He needs to land a Bomb early and see where he goes from there.
Basically if Wlad can take his power then Haye is fucked;D
But we all know Wlads a bit chinny so this is wide open imo.

I'll second that Wadeb. I haven't been this excited, nevermind just excited, atall about a heavyweight fight since lewis left.
I'm on the wagon and i've got a god damn foam hand on too. Gonna be a tough one for the Hayemaker but my foam fingers will be crossed. He is the life that heavyweight boxing needs no doubt in my mind. He has everything and more than most to be champ. If Haye had a solid chin, i'd say he beats any heavyweight out there no sweat, but he doesn't, so we'll see.....

hope your right
Not for David haye
Not for britain
but the heavyweight division needs david to not only blow Wlad away but vitali too for the sake of its reputation and dare i say it its survival.
- I want the old heavyweight division back.
- I wanna wake up at 4 in the morning to watch 2 men fighting for the heavyweight championship of the world.
- I wanna see dozens of people crowded around a tv set to watch 2 guys they have no interest in knock seven bells out of eachother.
- I want to watch the strongest, fastest, heaviest men in sport today fighting eachother knowing the victor is truly the greatest sportsman in the world.

Re: David Hayemaker Haye WAR-WAGON! ALL ABOARD ! WOO WOO !!!
I'm not hating on Haye, i'm actually excited to see the Heavyweight divison have some fireworks, but can someone set me straight as far as his chin goes? I saw Carl Thompson KO him.. Since then i've only seen the Mormeck fight and the Enzo fight and has there really been enough evidence that he can withstand Wlad's power? Or is it just that he will be slick enough to not get hit and to KO Wlad?
Again, not hating, just curious for an explanation from a Haye fan or anyone of knowledge.

Re: David Hayemaker Haye WAR-WAGON! ALL ABOARD ! WOO WOO !!!
Hah, I have an avatar bet elsewhere, and when I win the bet, the unlucky guy is going to sport a cropped closeup of that crotch V-line for 30 days.
I'm not into that sort of thing, y'unnerstand, but it's a great way to humble a fella.
Did you fellas take a look at the Emanuel Steward clip with Haye?
Take a look, it's hilarious !
Steward is Wlad's coach, but he's looking at Haye with love in his eyes...
Hah hah hah.
Does Steward even want his fighter Wlad to win?!

I'll spend some time on both wagons. I don't care who wins but i'm gonna root for both for giving us a decent HW bout for a change.

Re: David Hayemaker Haye WAR-WAGON! ALL ABOARD ! WOO WOO !!!
Carl Thompson?
5 years ago, a young green Haye with only 10 pro fights was stopped by a tough, old veteran in Carl Thompson who had been a pro for 16 years.
Haye had been a pro for less than 2 years.
The ref stopped the fight in rd 5 with Haye still on his feet, but Carl Thompson took a hellacious amount of punishment in the first 4 rds.
He was tough; he survived.
Haye lost because he gassed out because he was cutting corners in his training, relying on his superior talent and power to carry him.
Thompson was supposed to be just a trialhorse for young Haye, a stepping stone as his mangement increased the level of Haye's opposition to build him up. Sometimes, they pull a surprise.
I like seeing an early loss or three on a top prospect.
The early loss can define them, make them grow up, put the choice on them of quitting after the loss or soldiering on, dedicating themselves more to the sport, and making a conscious effort to get better.
Manny Pacman Pacquiao wasn't a protected fighter in his early years, and he took a few early losses too, but he has emerged as the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world, and he will be going down as a legitimate All-Time Great. Manny overcame those early losses, and dedicated himself to getting better, to improving his entire game.
So it is with Haye.
That loss made him realize that even with better talent, a man still has to dedicate himself and train. A man with talent, but who also trains like a demon, is a sight to behold.
Haye's chin ain't granite, but it ain't glass either.
Same could be said for Wlad's chin though.

Re: David Hayemaker Haye WAR-WAGON! ALL ABOARD ! WOO WOO !!!
Cool thread, I'm all about the Hayemaker.
Nice job to the op on the first couple posts, nice job on all the pics and vids.
100% supporting Haye on the fight.
-
Re: David Hayemaker Haye WAR-WAGON! ALL ABOARD ! WOO WOO !!!
I'm right behind Haye but the closer the fight gets the more I think he has bitten off more than he can chew because I think Wlad is determined as hell to teach him a lesson.
Wlad's pizza face thing made me laugh, I'm beginning to like the guy, he should be a trash talker himself he is pretty funny.

Re: David Hayemaker Haye WAR-WAGON! ALL ABOARD ! WOO WOO !!!
Well, the fight is off due to a training injury suffered by Haye.
CURSES, foiled again!
Meh, who knows, he probably ripped a pec while benching or broke a hand or herniated a disc...
DAMMIT!

Well, the Vitali wagon has had MANY canceled or postponed fights because of Vitali always getting injured.
As for the Wlad-Wagon...

EDIT:
Eh, I'm deleting the Wlad image that I posted with all the knockdowns; it was a cheap-shot on Wlad even if a few guys here may've liked it.
Wlad may've never caught on big with the fans, but ya gotta acknowledge that Wlad always comes in shape, is respectful, and has always carried himself and the strap with class, a trait he's continued to display even in light of this big fight being canceled.

Re: David Hayemaker Haye WAR-WAGON! ALL ABOARD ! WOO WOO !!!
Wladimir is a class champion as is Vitali....they are both very respectful fighters.
As for Vitali calling off fights, he's had 39 pro-boxing matches, 210 (or so) amateur boxing matches, and a lot of kick boxing matches and you're bound to have some injuries here and there as you age.

Vitali, for instance, pulled out of SIX world title fights in a three-year period, before finally having to retire.;)

Re: David Hayemaker Haye WAR-WAGON! ALL ABOARD ! WOO WOO !!!
I'm not kicking...I think this is a GREAT thing for David Haye. Haye needs more experience at heavyweight!!! If David Haye got the WBA belt and then fought Wlad or Vitali it would be GREAT for him and for boxing.
Haye needs 2-3 more fights at heavyweight to really be ready and vs top level fighters!

Lyle knows it was never going to be a fight. I don't consider Tyson-Spinks to be a fight. This fight was going to mirror that one
