Wlad would probably KO valuev by accident lifting his shit at the weigh in. On a serious note, i'd rather see no fight at all than see valuev, the guy could go in there with a gun and still couldn't worry wlad enough to fight. Jab Jab Jab right hand all night.....no thanks. Throw arreola or k johnson in there.
I wouldn't mind seeing it just to clean up this title crap, and to see Valuev get sparked.
I don't think Arreola is ready yet, and KJohnson needs another step up fight or two.
what about fres aquindo (sic) to stay busy?
I'm down with a Klit Valuev fight. Can tidy things up a little and stop the Valuev circus act from continuing any longer.....
Valuev was the first guy I thought of when Haye pulled out.
Unfortunately it probably won't happen. If Wlad fights on June 20th we'll likely see him against Meehan or Ruiz....or somebody like that.
Can you picture the weigh in,like some evolutionary chart come to life.
Wait..Haye pulled out ???
If a fight does have to go ahead on the agreed date, then it should be this. Any other fight would be bullshit really as theres no real time to train and prepare. Plus this one has a (whatever you think of him) a world champ and a belt on the line to bring to the party. Hes really well known in Europe as well it makes sense. Its a proper fight that makes sense anyway regardless of situation. I hope they dont bring some patsy in for Klitschko to whup
Arreola will probably be the replacement since they wanna push that guy so hard.
Not like he comes in shape to fight, he's probably been in training since his last fight and weighing 10 pounds more :)
Legion, losing only makes fighters come into their next fight in shape if they actually care and anyone who fights professionally that carries bitch tits into the ring isn't fighting seriously....not Butterbean, not Baby Bean, and not Cris Arreola (how appropriate to be named after a nipple).
"Damn you've got a hell of a fighter there, but you never said anything about his spectacular breasts"
I would LOVE for Valuev to take the plunge and fight Wlad in Germany on the 20th....I know 100% sure he won't as he's a DKP fighter and DK doesn't want to be locked out of the heavyweight division. Wlad has spoken up about Valuev and Chagaev and he's sided with Ruslan saying "The German Athletic Commision would be ok with Ruslan fighting in Germany" and he called the whole thing a "farce"....hopefully it lights a fire somewhere and we get Wlad to get rid of one of these punks.
Hell I'd be happy if they threw Wlad John Ruiz
This is a horrible horrible fight. Two incredibly boring fighters. Ruiz is always ready.
If this actually happened god forbid I might root for Wlad.
Hopefully he'd try to get him out early. Doubtful though.
More chance of Boswell, Ustinov, Sprott or Banks than Valuev.
What? Valuev getting KO'd is horrible?!?!?! I fail to see why? I mean even if you think Wladimir is boring the ends justifies the means! Valuev + KO'd = Good for boxing, Good for TV, good for the heavyweight division.
I mean think of it, #1 Wlad's defense has improved dramatically and now without any negative effects on punch output #2 Wlad has already KO'd guys bigger than himself before (McCline, Austin, Thompson) #3 Valuev has NO power #4 The biggest power puncher Valuev fought was probably Evander Holyfield or John Ruiz #5 Wlad is set to let his hands go for this upcoming fight....I can sense it, he's been pissed off by David Haye and he wants to send a message. Wlad SAYS "I'll cut his face up for 12 rounds" but Wlad MEANS "I am going to stomp this sucker from round 1".
Wlad vs Valuev would be a straight up ass whuppin....everyone knows it, why aren't you on board??? GET ON DA' BUS!
Well no he wouldn't go away but #1 Valuev would no longer have a belt and #2 He would have to fight Wlad or Vitali to get a belt back.
Pointless??? it would be GREAT!!!!
Alexander Dimitrenko 29(19 KO)-0-0 (Ranked #4 IBF and #1 WBO) and Eddie Chambers 34(18 KO)-1-0 (ranked #3 IBF and #5 WBO) are scheduled to fight in an elimination bout July 4th....I bet they try and land one of those guys.
Other than that Cedric Boswell and Brian Minto wouldn't be horrible
Minto has never been KO'd before...he would put pressure on Wlad, or at least TRY to win which you can't really say about other guys. Some fighters get "star struck" when they get a title shot, I for one don't think Minto would. I think he'd be horribly outclassed, but he would give it 100%.
....and it would put Wlad in position if he KO'd Minto early (which he would) to fight vs Haye, Povetkin, Dimitrenko/Chambers in another couple of months if HBO saves up it's money
Minto went through hell with that dude who's got a tattoo around his neck
plus I hear he's dropping down to 175 to fight Yusuf Mack in Trinidad
Vinnie Maddalone? The guy is a crowd pleaser....Minto might make Wlad FIGHT....isn't that what people complain about, guys like Sultan and Rahman who just didn't show up and allowed Wlad to do his thing and people didn't like it. Well imagine if someone pressured Wladimir and made him fight....it might allow us to see something new from Wladimir.
Meh, Povetkin can do that better than Minto.
Although I don't know what Povetkin's hurry is but still I'd much rather see that than Minto.
boozeboxer keeps on me about throwing Serguei Liakhovich out there, but hell the last time he fought it was February of last year and he weighed 251....sure he and Wlad used to spar a bunch and supposedly had some big battles but there is just no hope for him anymore.
Povetkin is tiny....I wouldn't mind him fighting Haye for an elimination match
Still bigger than Minto
Oh hell why am I even arguing this, Minto is not a good choice ;D
Minto would get crushed
Valuev and Chagaev is unreal
other guys that come to mind are Meehan and Arreola altough i doubt hed take it
i heard also that Michael Grant is being considered by the Wlad camp
Wladimir's manager Shelly Finkel said "Our first thing is to see when [the Haye fight] can be rescheduled, but we will look at Valuev and all other options." (courtesy espn.com)
I really want the Wladimir-Valuev fight to happen...the sooner we're rid of Valuev the better.
I would make sense to offer it to Povetkin because he owes him a mandatory at some point. He and Cris fought around the same time in April. My money is on Povetkin as a guy that could be legitimately ready by June. Arreola would probably take the fight, but it would be a mistake for him at this point. Chambers is scheduled to fight Dimitrenko in an WBO eliminator. Since Dimintrenko is the #1, I would think the WBA would make Wlad offer him the fight over Chambers. Povetkin has more to deserve it than the others.
We can only hope they can make a Valuev fight happen. Wlad should make him an insane financial offer to him - offer him a 70% split, just for the sake of boxing. He wins hands down, all day, everyday, and it would be one step closer to true recognized HW champ. David Haye will always be there.
Over on Fightnews Wladimir targets Arreola
Wlad said “If the fight against David Haye doesn’t take place, I’ll fight against Chris Arreola,”

This is getting interesting now,Wlad against Holyfield :o;D
boxingnumb.yehrite.wtf.com
Mintos a nice guy...but :foruml10gc5:.What about Chambers,or the Uber Wookie Valuev would be nice
I wouldnt mind seeing it. Its a fight that should have happened anyways. Thats what champions are supposed to do, fight each other. I mean Valuev fought 4 time champion Holyfield, what has Wlad done?? ;D Seriously, heavyweight champions are a joke. For every fight that goes ahead on schedule, there is one that falls thought.
I just read 2 articles about 2 different fighters wanting to step in vs Wladimir.
To think we're this much closer to the ultimate matchup Wladimir Klitschko vs James Toney ;D
Chris Arreloa’s promoter Dan Goossen has rejected any possibility of Arreola stepping in for injured David Haye. “Chris isn’t in the type of shape you need to be for fighting for the heavyweight championship of the world,” he told the LA Times. “One thing you don’t do with elite athletes is give them a short window to prepare.”
By Alexey Potapov
If we're waiting for Arreola to get in shape, I hope you're willing to wait for next year. "Cris, step away from the burritos!"
I'm just happy Wlad is still trying to make a fight happen. I really hope it's vs Valuev....it really would help boxing, but I think Don King will keep it from happening.
