if hatton was to return who is he most likely to fight?
Quite interesting to gauge peoples opinions of what might be rickys next possible career move if their is to be one.
Dont really wanna debate whether he should return or not more who would his opponent be...

Re: if hatton was to return who is he most likely to fight?
Marquez thats if he does'nt beat Mayweather!

"Who should his opponent be?" ... It should be JMM because I want JMM to be Hatton's next opponent....
Isn't it similar? It's the same thing referring to Hatton's next opponent...;D
Dumba$$...;D Why are you so picky with technicalities?? ;D

Re: if hatton was to return who is he most likely to fight?
In all fairness, Witter must deserve a bite at Hatton now.
If not, then Hatton would probably go after Bradley.
Although id pick Bradley ;)

Witter dont deserve shit
The guy hasnt fought in about 6months now and has done nothing to merit a massive payday that he would get fighting hatton.
As for bradley, id put him in the grouping of fighters like urango, malignaggi, holt, torres - hatton would probably just labour to a comfortable decision if he fought bradley!
-
Re: if hatton was to return who is he most likely to fight?
although it would be a difficult fight for ricky, i think one with campbell would be very appealing.

I think Witter deserves a shot if he will win the vacant WBC 140 title against Devon Alexander...

Re: if hatton was to return who is he most likely to fight?
He wouldn't fight any you listed.
If Hatton is having a farewell fight it should be against someone not so good.

beating devon alexander merits a shot at a 2 weight, 4 title world champion like ricky hatton:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
Dont know why we are even talking about this anyway. Hatton hates witter far too much to ever give him that kind of payday and it would mean hatton having to take 3-4 steps down both in talent and financially

Bradley >> All the fighters you listed.
Bradley beats Hatton imo.
High workrate
Fast hands
underated power
solid chin and defense
fundamentally sound

you make your anti-hatton agenda on here clear everyday.
You`d probably have jon murray or matthew macklin beating hatton

:beat: It's unbelievable how gullable you groupies fukking are. It has nothing to do with pay. Hatton hates Witter with a passion. The last thing Hatton wants to do is lose to him. It would be a nightmare. Witter would never let him forget. Hatton would be a bigger laughing stock than he already is.
You would think a fighter would love the chance to get the guy he hates the most in the ring. Well real fighters would

If you actually watched Bradley fight you would actually give him a good chance against Hatton but you would rather suck Hatton nutsacks instead.

The whole Hatton doesn't want to give Witter a pay day is bullshit.
A fighter should want to fight and beat a guy they don't like.

Key word is "fighter". I have no doubt Hatton knows in his heart he can't beat Witter. That fight will never happen

Ive seen bradley fight on numerous occasions including getting up twice at 4 in the morning to watch him fight cherry and holt and on both occasions he has done absoloutely nothing to suggest he`d have a chance against hatton.
And as for the whole hatton-witter payday thing may i please ask both you numbskulls why exactly you think hatton should take 1-2million domestically to fight someone he has so little respect for when he could quite easily be heading back to vegas before the years out to earn 3 times as much fighting someone of genuine quality.
Demise once again you prove you are full of hot air!

no chance ? do us a favor break, down your idea of a fight between Bradley and Hatton.
Regarding a Hatton - Witter fight, there is no doubt that fight would of sold especially in the U.K because of the rivalry between the two and what would be at stake.
I doubt you will see many more people wanting to go to Vegas to watch Hatton get KO'd again . His paydays against top fighters are over imo.

That excuse was PATHETIC when Hatton made it.. it's even more PATHETIC when boxing fans say it.
Why do you care how much the fighters make? Shouldn't you just care about the BEST match-ups?

You seriously believe that HBO/vegas would turn a blind eye to another hatton vegas spectacle.
Even after getting pelted twice the man is still the most profitable entity in the sport and the 20 or so thousand brits he brings with him means big bucks even for a place like vegas.
Before this fight was talked about it was well established that team hatton had had talks with dubai investors willing to pay him millions to fight over there.
Even after all that you still believe hatton should swallow his pride, endless counter millions and even taking himself out of the public domain in america just to fight someone because he "doesnt like them"
This is the same stupid nonsensical crap as when people were going on about why joe calzaghe should fight carl froch on itv1 rather than head to the states for a megamillion HBO PPV showdown with roy jones jnr!

First off you totally ignore my first question regarding your breakdown of a Bradley - Hatton fight.
If you think people besides the thousands of football fans he brings with him are gonna wanna see Hatton get beat again in Vegas time and time again then you need help. Big money fights for Hatton have ended imo.
he may get a fight with Marquez if Marquez loses to Mayweather but i even doubt that happening. Marquez won't want to fight Manny's leftovers.
A Witter fight makes sense, Not only would it sell here but he would also get the oppurtunity to beat a boxing rival and get a title back.
If you think stopping Witter getting a payday is more satsifying for Hatton than beating him, then seriously again you need help.

:vd: What the fukk you think the Lazcano fight was about? He's done it before. Not like it matters. HBO is pretty much done with his ass. His 2 biggest fights on there were mismatches. Ain't nobody following him to his fights no more. Look at the Pac fight. The ones that went were being owned by the flips that were there.
I can't believe you actually have the nerve to talk shiit to all them fag Pac groupies. The way you swallow Hatton and the pathetic excuses you use are just as bad. If not worse. At least Pac wins some of his big fights

Re: if hatton was to return who is he most likely to fight?
Who cares? He has nothing left and I for one will not be convinced that he 'had a bad night' and pay to watch him ever again, I really am getting tired of boxing and all the sheer greed of it all at the moment.

Anyone can get a belt these days I don't think it makes a difference at all whether he retires with one.
-
Re: if hatton was to return who is he most likely to fight?
The only one of those options that is realistic is Khan. ODLH v Hatton would be a complete joke of Floyd & Manny's leftovers, & Oscar & Schaeffer are too smart to do it. Floyd has NO interest in fighting Hatton unless its a warm-up fight to add on his popularity in the UK, but I don't see it. Marquez has no interest if he beats Floyd obviously, whilst if he gets beat he goes back to his belts at 135 with his reputation intact.
Khan is the only other possibility, but I think his speed beats Hatton. I think Victor Ortiz & Bradley both beat him as well, although IMO Witter won't be an issue after Devon Alexander beats him. I think Khan is the most likely because that could be the biggest British fight since Benn-Eubank & would do better financially than even Calzaghe-Froch

It will make a big difference... Hatton is planning to promote boxers when he finally retires... It's much nicer to tell and motivate your boxers that you retire a champion than being so mum about your very last fight where you was laid out flat on the canvass for a few minutes...

Re: if hatton was to return who is he most likely to fight?
Well Hatton to me is done and never really reached the great status. I dont think he is above the likes of Bradley at all. I mean hes been clearing the division while Hatton been getting his ass kicked all over the place. I pick Bradley by a ud hell think even a shot Dela Hoya could beat him.

Roy Jones is bringing Money to the table to this day.
Who is Hatton gonna fight now who can do decent numbers?
No one. NO ONE... Its pretty much over in that respect.
So he might as well pay Witter to fly over to Vegas and jump infront of them HBO cameras and get it on for the fans.
Its no worse than any other scenario...
