Fighters who are/were at their most dangerous when hurt!
I have been thinking about making this thread for quite a while and the way I'd like to set it going is by starting by saying the first man who comes to mind when I think of a fighter who was most dangerous when hurt is Marco Antonio Barrera. Here is a piece of evidence to back that up.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Gi55...19A32A&index=3
Can anyone else come up with a fighter that had this quality and a bit of proof i.e. a video clip or a detailed report?

KO Bowe.

Re: Fighters who are/were at their most dangerous when hurt!
Hitting Bhop on the chin in his prime was always a bad move and more often than not led to you getting 4 times more back in return
Holyfield always struck me as the kind of guy who needed to take a few just to wake him up

Re: Fighters who are/were at their most dangerous when hurt!
Morales, anytime someone rocked him even the slightest bit, he'd return with a barrage of shots, did it in Barrera I & III, Pacquiao I & II, Chavez, Hernandez, Kelly, etc.
-
Re: Fighters who are/were at their most dangerous when hurt!
Matthew Saad Muhammad
Arturo Gatti
Evander Holyfield
Nigel Benn
Kevin Kelley
Erik Morales
Marco Antonio Barrera
Juan Manuel Marquez
Manny Pacquiao
Diego Corrales
Felix Trinidad
Naseem Hamed
Julian Letterlough
Julian Jackson
Larry Holmes
Joe Frazier
Iran Barkley
Rocky Marciano

Re: Fighters who are/were at their most dangerous when hurt!
Marquez sticks out, & although he was never really hurt, as soon as someone got Marvin Hagler with a big shot or cut him, he would get really mad.
-
Re: Fighters who are/were at their most dangerous when hurt!
Juan Manuel Marquez and Diego Corrales came to mind. Diego particularly for the castillo fight.

See thats why i didn't list Marvin Hagler or Julio Cesar Chavez, because i could never really tell when they were hurt. I can only think of a few occasions when they actually looked hurt in there prime.

Re: Fighters who are/were at their most dangerous when hurt!
Arturo Gatti was always dangerous when wounded.
Aaron Pryor - It was always a mistake for an opponent to knock him down
Holyfield - Hurting him just made him fight harder.
-
Re: Fighters who are/were at their most dangerous when hurt!
naseem hamed???
only time he was ever properly hurt in his entire career he pussied out of the fight and never fought again!

The knock down where he gets up and tries to attack the other fighter before the ref starts the count is priceless. Sheer anger, hardness and psychosis rolled into one.

Re: Fighters who are/were at their most dangerous when hurt!
eubank deserves a mention
against benn and watson he persistently came back from a battering to win the fights!!

Naseem Hamed was knocked down and stunned many times in his career. What made him exciting is that he had the power, to change a fight around with 1 punch.

Edwin Rosario coming back against Howard Davis Jr, was one of the best final round comebacks i've ever seen.

Zab Judah - both Jay Nady & Floyd can attest that when he's badly hurt he's an extremely dangerous man.
-
Re: Fighters who are/were at their most dangerous when hurt!
he may not be an all-time great but for my money iv never seen a guy as dangerous as nigel benn when hes backed up to the ropes. logan, deWitt, eubanks, mcClelland are just off the top of my head

Don't know about being 'hurt' though... the guy was very chinny and was susceptible to flash knockdowns.

Don't think he was chinny. The knockdowns seemed to be more a case of getting caught flush off balance because of his unorthodox style.

I always thought he was chinny until he fought Barrera. He shocked me with just what he could take that night.

Re: Fighters who are/were at their most dangerous when hurt!
Can't believe no one mentioned Marvin Hagler....
Rd 3 of the Hearns bout showed how dangerous he was when hurt
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vrMQJ4Z-4-c
In the Migabi fight everytime Marvin ate big shots he fired back like a machine

Re: Fighters who are/were at their most dangerous when hurt!
ICB got the ultimate pick first IMO Matthew Saad Mohammed. You would seriously be think the ref is gonna stop this soon, then he just starts throwing bombs, and your like wtf this guy was just out on his feet.
