Re: Vitali-Haye moves closer for 12th september
Haye will get destroyed, Haye loves to mix it up and he mixes it up with Vitali he will be killed.
Vitali KO 4.

Re: Vitali-Haye moves closer for 12th september
Against Wlad Haye had a good punchers chance but against Vitali its going to be speed and reflexes that wins him the fight.
I am just not sure that his speed and reflexes are just that good.

People say that about his speed and reflexes but David Haye has a piss poor defence, he gets clocked all the time, Vitali will just bully him either into submission or just knock him out clean.
I see it going similar to how Vitali v Hide went.

Re: Vitali-Haye moves closer for 12th september
I'm not sure about this one Vitali is a lot stronger than Wlad who I'd fancy Haye to beat..This will be a tough call for me.
If Haye can keep moving and boxes a clever fight he could be in with a shout...but I wonder wether he will be able to take the power of the shots he will face!
The one thing he has going for him is the quantity and quality of shots he lands on an opponent, but wether he has enough to finish Vitali I don't know as I don't think Haye has enough to go 12 rounds and needs to stop him!
I'm sitting on the fence until its made;D
-
Re: Vitali-Haye moves closer for 12th september
Poor Haye will be destroyed by a motivated Vitali. He had a better chance vs Vlad. Vitali has the better chin power and mentality to punish the Hayemaker. Its Herbie Hide all over again. Sorry Leftylee.

Re: Vitali-Haye moves closer for 12th september
David Haye is a punk and he's going to get knocked out like a punk. I hope to God Adam Booth doesn't throw the towel in, Little David needs to learn his lesson!

Re: Vitali-Haye moves closer for 12th september
I don't see any way Haye can win. With Wlad i thought there could be a chance if Haye caught him, but Vitall is tough. He took Lennox Lewis' best shots and kepk coming. Vitall is even bigger and stronger that Wlad. I predict Haye to to be KO'd in the middle to late rounds. Vitally has somthing like a 95% KO record. There is no chance for Haye other that a DQ or Vitall getting injured

Need I say more Vitali Said before he beat the stuffing out of Corrie Sanders that he will get revenge on anyone who beats/talks smack to his little brother!! Vitali by A big Hay maker to make it sweet!!

Vitali is no spring chicken though so I would add that fact into the equasion. It's unlikely that he will suddenly get old in there though, he is a smart guy and I'm positive he would retire if he thought age was catching up with him.

Well looks like the hype is over with Vitali well end it with a punch.
-
Re: Vitali-Haye moves closer for 12th september
I hope Haye does well, but I don't see it.... He knows how to win at lower weight, but he gets beaten up too... And he's picked out the biggest bully at heavyweight...
Honestly, my theory is he doesn't even want to give it a real shot at heavyweight.... He didn't want to be exposed by a lesser heavyweight, so he's just going after the biggest and baddest... If he wins by chance, he can claim to be the best heavyweight.. Well, good luck to him, and on a single night anything can happen.. That does not make him the best heavyweight out there until he defends....
But if he loses, he can go off saying "well, at least I fought the best, and you can't complain about losing to the best out there"....
I don't think it's out of courage that he's gone after Wlad & Vitali, I think it's out of fear of being beaten and being exposed by a lesser heavyweight... I guess the old cliche "no shame in losing to the best" is what he feels he can fall back on if he doesn't deliver as promised at heavyweight.... I still think he should have made an honest go and taken a fight or 2 at heavyweight before fighting one of the Klitchco's... And they should have demanded that of him...
Now he's going to get his head knocked off and boxing will be none the better for it..

Re: Vitali-Haye moves closer for 12th september
Dizaster has it 100% correct, David Haye would get beaten by an average heavyweight...if David was half the man Steve Bunce talks about then wouldn't he have fought a bigger and better heavyweight than Monte Barrett???
David Haye can talk and promote himself in the UK, but in the real world Haye has accomplished nothing

H ewouldnt get beat by an average heavyweight no way, id have him beating Valuev and Chageav aswell as most of the top ten, i do agree he should fight someone on paper who has half a chance before taking on the Klits.
-
Re: Vitali-Haye moves closer for 12th september
I think David would have trouble with very average fighters at heavyweight. Ruslan would be difficult for him to beat, Valuev wouldn't be impossible for him to beat but that fight won't happen as Haye isn't a Don King fighter.
Hell David Haye could have trouble with the likes of John Ruiz but we don't know because he has never fought anyone of that quality (that was difficult for me to write seriously)

This is possibly the most ludicrous post I have read in my short time here at Saddo...
To suggest that he should have gone for a Better quality of opponent in his first fight as a HW is plainly nonsense!! Do you bypass the position that Haye needs to bring himself on, like any other HW would in their first legitimate fight in the Division...just to make a soundbite:rolleyes:
Then to cap it all off you say Haye has accomplished nothing...I nearly pissed myself laughing;D He was undisputed Cruiserweight Champion...your're biasness blinds you:rolleyes:

Well I'm happy you enjoyed that post, allow me to explain stuff you might have misinterpretted.
#1 David Haye was asked who would be his opponent for 11-15-2008 and HAYE said it would be a household name and a dangerous fighter....he fought Monte Barrett who is none of the above. Should David not get called out for talking one way and acting in another way???
#2 I never said David should act like any other heavyweight just entering the division. I said David should fight better competition and well now he should just fight. He's either the Undisputed Cruiserweight Champion who is ready to do something at heavyweight OR he's just a novice heavyweight, he should either fight GOOD fighters or work his way up, he cannot have it both ways!
#3 David Haye accomplished something at CRUISERWEIGHT. What cruiserweights ...what CHAMPION cruiserweights have moved on to heavyweight and actually gone on to have success? Holyfield? James Toney? My reason for bringing it up is because it's not something that happens all the time HOWEVER cruiserweights moving up to heavyweight and getting destroyed does happen an awful lot and even to the good cruiserweights.
#4 What has Haye accomplished that gives you Haye fans any hope of him doing well in the heavyweight division? He's a cruiserweight champ...so was Vassily Jirov, so were Dwight Qawi, Carlos DeLeon, Ossie Ocasio and not a one of them had success at heavyweight.
I'm not biased, I'm just waiting for David Haye's ACTIONS to match his talk

1..The part where you expect a fighter new in a division to be taking on Dangerous fighters instead of easing himself in:rolleyes:
2..Then the part where you dismiss the fact he was Undisputed Cruiserweight Champion as having achieved nothing:rolleyes:
There is nothing wrong in not rating a fighter or believing the division he fights in is'nt that good..and then putting a reasoned argument to why you believe that point of view...but to expect him to live up to his claims on the back of one fight and one Pull out because of injury without really giving any valid reason....I GOTTA SAY SEEMS CUT AND DRIED BIAS TO ME:cool:

Re: Vitali-Haye moves closer for 12th september
#1 David Haye wants to fight the Klitschko's in his 3rd heavyweight fight after fighting the likes of Tomaz Bonin and Monte Barrett so either David Haye is ready to fight the top level guys or he isn't. I would have had 0 issue had Haye fought a Sam Peter or hell even Oleg Maskaev or Andrew Golota someone who actually used to fight at the top level and THEN called out Wlad but he fought 2 bums and called out Wlad, that doesn't add up to me. Even if you look at Floyd Mayweather Jr. taking a tune up fight to get ready at 140, he fought Demarcus Corley a guy who actually did something at 140.
#2 Which of those guys as cruiserweight that David Haye beat would do anything at heavyweight??? I think Haye has talent and everything but history has shown us that cruiserweights don't usually do all that great in the heavyweight division.
-
Re: Vitali-Haye moves closer for 12th september
Again I will go with what my sig says. A deal will be done. They will start the press conference's about a month or less left to go David Haye will shit himself again and say I am not making enough money for this fight. Then cancel it do to his pu$$y bleeding.

I can't but disagree..I like Haye and think he has great potential in the division and has gone about it the right way..although I can agree his mouth does himself no favours and causes enough debate to cover most forums between the fans who follow him and the fans who despise him!
Sometimes I think just shut up myself TBH.

Agree totally that's been his attitude from the beginning of his HW adventure. It 's like challenging Nadal and Federer at tennis, getting battered then claiming to be no.3 on earth.
I just like my boxers to be actually fighting, rather than talking about it, his style will be entertaining, especially against heavyweights that can take a good punch, but he'll need stamina to get by them and that could still be an issue.
-
Re: Vitali-Haye moves closer for 12th september
I have to say that Haye being so vocal has had alot to him getting a title shot.( smart work on his part) However i agree with Lyle that Haye could well get beaten by lesser HW , i mean the guy hasnt been fully tested on the chin by a desent HW puncher. Haye oviously has the power to KO many HW's , but if he meets a guy who can take his punch , and hit very hard , then i cant see how Haye can win , i just dont see him having a plan B in the HW division. He has a punchers chance against Wlad , but for me i dont think he has any chance against Vitali unless Vitali has slipped due to his age.

I think those 4 years off did his body good. Allowed it to rest up and heal itself. Haye is getting crushed if this fight comes off

Having regular chats mate as we get the same train into central London and he lives down the road.
Had a good chat this morning as it goes and we dissagreed;D
I reckon the only way to beat Wlad would have been for Haye to make him come to him and counter whereas he reckon he should steam in and get in his face.
Really nice fella is Claude:cool:
And yeah i just recognised him last week and went over and said hello basically.

Re: Vitali-Haye moves closer for 12th september
I thought Vitali was gonna fight Valuev. I was looking forward to seeing two giant with no technique maul and wrestle until one of em fell over.
Hayes best chance was against Wvlad. Vitali is a taller order and I didnt really fancy Hayes chances vs the younger more vulnerable brother.
Props to Haye for taking the fight but if he think that his 4 round up and downer with Barrett a year ago is any kind of prep for a heavyweight title fight then he is gonna be shocked.

It simply dosent happen Lyle and you know it. He cleaned out and Unified his division and proven himself a worldclass fighter at the highest level. All those things dont go by the way side over a few pounds.
You are a biased. End of
Boxing is a business, Haye is Marketable the rest of the division isint. The only one I would argue about is Arreola. He is fat and ugly but he is exciting and has a certain working class charm and demeanor. IMO he has earned his shot.

vitali is a great technical exponent to compare him to valuev who is a complete out and out mauler is harsh to say the least.
Was also looking forward to seeing a 7foot 4 giant get dumped on his arse but david haye getting his pretty little face battered into a shell would be a sacrifice id be prepared to see.

Maybe Lyle is a little biased about Haye, but that doesn't mask the paradox in mofo's post. On the one hand he claims that being cruiserweight champion makes him instantly good enough to take on the Klits, yet in the previous sentence he claims he wasn't ready last autumn to face a stiffer test than Barrett!! what the hell has happened since then?
Wether he's earned it or not, the Wlad-Haye fight would have been an entertaining fight, and I agree that there aren't many heavy's out there who can legitimiately claim to have done enough to earn a shot at Wlad, so in that sense by process of elimination Haye should have his shot sooner rather than later. Still doesn't take away from the fact that Haye is a part timer, and if he actually were to somehow catch Wlad it would only be detrimental to the sport.

Boxing is a business, Haye is Marketable the rest of the division isint. The only one I would argue about is Arreola. He is fat and ugly but he is exciting and has a certain working class charm and demeanor. IMO he has earned his shot.
Did I say Haye needed to start at ground 0??? NO! But here's the deal David Haye is the Ring Champion for the cruiserweight division and he moved up to heavyweight with a lot of buzz behind him and he fought MONTE BARRETT....so my issue with David Haye is that he was Ring Champion, he talked the way a guy who wanted an immediate title shot needed to talk BUT he fought Monte Barrett it doesn't add up.
As for weight, sure someone like Ezzard Charles and Hank Armstrong could move up and down in weight and not be effected at all and someone like Ricky Hatton who was a World Class fighter at 140 but move him up to 147 and he couldn't do shit...so while it might not matter for SOME fighters it is an issue and one that David Haye hasn't even tried to answer or even put the boxing fans at ease about, and therefore I question him.
But if you want to go ahead and call be biased fine, I just call it as I see it and I saw David Haye run his mouth and then fight a bum BY CHOICE, if Haye is such a huge draw etc then why fight a bum when he could have lured over a bigger name or a more dangerous fighter. It seemed to me as if David didn't want to test himself.....but I thought the guy was world class???? If he's world class then why doesn't he want to SHOW IT???

Re: Vitali-Haye moves closer for 12th september
10 bucks says Vitali gets injured and pulls out and retires again before this fight even happens.

While that COULD happen, I would expect the fight doesn't even happen
