The Legend of the Pacman!
I guess pacs recent performance had made people disregard the fact that his still a lot smaller but fights very dangerously. I am just in shock that people are now thinking pac is that great he could beat cotto or mosley at 147 and are nearly completely sure anything below that weight pac would pull another oscar beating type performance. how things change in just a year.
1995 he debut as a flyweight at 106, got a decision over four rounds.
1996 Pacman was 11-0 but was ko'ed by his countrymen Rustico.
1998 The Pacman won his first title over 33-1 Chatchai Sasakul.
1999 he suffers another knock out lost this time to undefeated Medgoen Singsurat.
1999 fresh off his second career lost, he moves up to bantamweight. Avoiding being overweight on scales, he refocus while talks of his future no longer looking so promising.
2001 The 32-2 Pacman debut on American soil against 33-1 Lehlohonolo Ledwaba for the IBF Super Bantamweight Title. He wins his second division title in 6 rounds and earns the nickname "the destroyer".

Re: The Legend of the Pacman!
Call me nuts, but I think he's been winning these fights lately in dominant way because god is really helping him. I also think that his two baby daughters are his biggest motivation.

You're totally right. God hates Ricky Hatton and wanted Manny to win. He thought..."That little shit is destroying the body I made for him by eating and drinking so much", so in order to teach Ricky a lesson, he put all his smite into Manny's left hand to relieve Ricky of his senses.

The second sentence is exact and holds true for any loving father trying to provide and care for his family.
The 1st sentence is stunning.I'm guessing you also see the virgin marys image on your morning toast:cwm13:.

Also, just to add to this debate, is Manny cheating by having God help him? I mean, if it's not in the contract, surely Ricky can sue him, because he only signed to take on Manny, not Manny and God. Two on one is just plain unfair.

Thankyou for improving my vocabulary. Your use of the word "hellacious" has prompted me to investigate it's meaning ("distasteful and repellant"). Using a divine entity to help knock out a mere human is both distasteful and repellant and negates all of the Pacmans achievments thus far. From now on in the interests of fair play Manny should be forbidden from getting on his knees and summoning help in the corner before fights. If he is caught giving thanks afterwards we should likewise assume improper use of God's smiteful fist and he should be disqualified. It also reinforces my respect for the Hitman, if Ricky can can take a good shot from the Almighty and only suffer a couple knockdowns and a KO maybe his chin isn't so suspect after all?

I wish someone would thank the Easter Bunny after winning; or Santa Clause......God and Jesus are so cliche and nowhere to be found when a fighter loses. Personally I would thank my daddy's nut sack for shooting me into my mom at the right time:woot22:Stupid make believe friends.

HAHA! David Diaz would be in for a surprise! He thought "Roach and Pac were hitting him in the ring at the same time." Little did he know God was in there too!

Re: The Legend of the Pacman!
So Manny's success is down to that old bearded belcher of all things Biblical then. I think it's fantastic that the Holy one would go to the effort of giving a fighter the edge in a prize fight. Manny's constanting praying must be doing gods ego wonders so he's up there thinking "I like the jip of that young Manny lad. I must bless him with some of my supernatural powers". Poor old Hatton, he should have gone to church more and kept away from those dens of iniquity....namely the good old pub. God is bound to shun those who don't give him much attention and would rather eat piesthan pray.
Asian Sensation how could anyone call you nuts? You have enlightened us all with your wise words.

Re: The Legend of the Pacman!
So I suppose this means Hatton is going to room with me in the dark abyss:confused: At least his incessant mooning will help light my way to the latrines.

Re: The Legend of the Pacman!
Ya know, I don't ever really have anything against people who have faith, in some sorta God of their choice if that is their vehicle for it. I mean, I think a person with faith in something is better off then a person with faith in nothing. Hope and belief are powerful motivators.
But it is just so redic to me and obv. others to start looking to that faith for such selfish things. And I don't care who you are. When you are trying to beat the hell out of another person, for personal satisfaction, or the dollars it allows you, it is a selfish thing. Now if the pacman gave every penny of those gains to the poor and unfortunate in his home country, then I would have to say, hmm...well, you have me wondering, but does he? No, he lives quite well. He even travels with armed guards, paid with from boxing monies, protecting him from what when in his own country? oh yea...greed. Potential theft, Crime, corruption.
Meh, have your faith. But take a serious look at your reasons for it being. I like pac. The man is humble. The man is gifted. He is also getting stinking rich with his gift. Now you people who read the bible. Is this how Jesus would have wanted it? Should I go order miracle water from that late nighttv commercial? I hear it'll cure all my woes, and cheques too will be in the mail to me. is FREE btw + shipping and handling ofc.

Lol. I'm gettin' public mockery about that god/pac comment. If you guys think it's bullcrap, then fine, that's your opinion. Btw, Pac mainly prays for both fighters' safety.

Re: The Legend of the Pacman!
Funny responses to the thread, I guess there are no positive inputs efforted into when it comes to the PacMan, especially if it is the everyday and is not those within a few days after a Pacquiao mega win, where in that case it is somewhat forced or a day when a costumary accolade is ripe.
Hopefully a few real fans would be able to make this thread worthwile to keep with informative posts, otherwise it had best be shelved for better or for more appropriate "non-Pacquiao" related threads.
As for the legend of Pacquiao, I say there is none yet.
He has been good for the sport, making boxing again, worthwile to spend those hard earned monies for. Even the stars in Hollywood are giving-in to their interest for the thriller from Manil'er (actually General Santos). Former President Bill Clinton, took a photo ops (I'll say vice versa absolutely!) with PacMan when their paths crossed at the Mandalay Bay, in Las Vegas. Same enthusiasm given the Pac by Hollywood stars, Denzel Washington, Mark Wahlberg and etc...
Emmanuel Pacquiao has been in a lot of tough fights worthy of note, but legendary? No.
Maybe when he is retired. When there is no more of the PacMan to infuriate the non-fans. Maybe then, there maybe a semblance of realising the loss when this happens, will his place in history, just maybe, become legendary.
Now it'd be of help If the likes of true fans like Pres Clinton or Denzel Washington, and other Hollywood stars or celebrities of note, can just honor our pages for a post, just maybe, they would be able to keep this thread worthwile for Saddo to keep. (much too much wishful thinking, hehehe).
Pacquiao's legacy is only present among the minds of an appreciative fella', with the open mind and heart. They truly are the ones, just in awe of the humankind's ability to rise from the worsts of beginnings, (but with his own God-given perseverance), to the folds of riches and good life!
At present... I say just shelve it. It can be very well turn into a parade of "who can bash Pacquiao or the Pacquiao fans the best".
Pacquiao's legend? Nah! Maybe a hundred years from now!
Shelved!

Right before he tries to render them unconscious by hitting them repeatedly in the head. That's damn near psychopathic.

Re: The Legend of the Pacman!
Pac is indeed a Legend:
at the age of:
19= WBC World Flyweight Champion
22=IBF World Super Bantamweight Champion
24=Ring Magazine World Featherweight Champion
29=WBC/Ring Magazine World Super Featherweight Champion
=WBC World Lightweight Champion
30=IBO/Ring Magazine World Light Welterweight Champion
At the age of 22 he was already a 2 division world champion, when people consider 22 as a baby in boxing excuses of being too green for other fighters. Manny Pacman Pacquiao is already a 2 division champ.
Manny Pacquiao has gone thru 10 weight classes as of the moment now that's as close as you can get to a throw back fighter!!!

:vd: If only you knew. It's the complete opposite. Pacquiao is winning his fights for one reason and one reason only. There is not doubt Pacquiao sold his soul to the devil. He wanted fame and fortune and knew he couldn't get it on his own. Really it was the smart move. Knowing he was already hell bound for his treatment of certain animals, he really had nothing to lose. Without his deal with Lucifer, Manny Pacquiao is Bobby Pacquiao

The second sentence is exact and holds true for any loving father trying to provide and care for his family.
The 1st sentence is stunning.I'm guessing you also see the virgin marys image on your morning toast:cwm13:.
lol Ofc God helps him. A lovin God does just that, helps you beat the crap out of your opponents to make $$ big monies $$. It's been a war cry since the beginning of humankind. Screw the meek, the poor. Jesus wept.
I think if he knew God he would mean to have written faith, more than God.
There is an expression though.'God helps those who help themselves"
That equals; this universe will back you up and supply the molecules and timing in whatever you decide or choose to believe in whole heart ed and it seems true when you look around.
When you believe in yourself or something, or a cause and you focus only on the outcome, all the powers that be come into play and align up to serve your dream; good or bad it happens for those types of movers, check history.
The playing field we are on is duality; we are choosing to experience all and all the extremes will unfold whether we judge them or not. When you choose not to judge you are free of any extremes, free of duality, free to come home.
I personally think the true one God is 99.9% separate from it and enters into very little on this level of density; Otherwise God would be also imperfect and free choice would cease to be free and that would not serve us well, as I know in my heart God does through our free will.
:gossip: "He said the God word, should we neg rep him for it?"

Re: The Legend of the Pacman!
Thanks bro.
Just flashing a light through from the other side of the glass is all. Just one facet of the many thousands.
We have look at the subject with both eyes wide open too; you wont ever find any prostetic limbs left at Lordes in between all the crutches and wheelchairs either. Faith or focus simply quickens time or sets you into the right place at the right time so that everything falls into place like in divine timing, that is what a miracle is.
Belief has its limits,as does faith when working with density and matter; but the trouble is for some people who enjoy it, some others feel they have to try to destroy it for them, they feel duped and need to attack it, instead of getting on with their own lives.
Religion is born of man its not the ultimate truth and people naturally see and feel that, and they take offence to others trying to poke it down their throats. I dont partake in religion, religion is a pathway, its not a destination, (there isnt one, there are catrillions in a space where time cannot even be measured,it just IS).
-
Re: The Legend of the Pacman!
Wish you'd quote my 2nd page post also. But also, don't really feel this is the right venue for a debate on religion, belief, and faith.
There is a reason people buy miracle water from late night commercials. It is basically the same reason those late night, send me money and get rich quick commercials run. They play into and exploit a basic human trait. Greed.
