They're the only two heavies I like so I'm not dying to see it but it seems like a good fight to me. Both fast, Haye has the power, Chambers seems to me the better boxer/defensive skills.
Thoughts?

I think Haye wins due to more speed and and power, but Chambers has impressed me! he's a good fighter! and I would not write him of against any heavy.
Chambers. Too smart for Haye who is not all that smart in the ring.
Chambers easily. I'm not convinced Haye is the same power hitter at Heavyweight that he was at Cruiserweight
Haye for me.. good fight thou..
To fast heavys going at it willl make a change.I think Haye sneeks a tight ud.
I'd say Chambers stops him in the later rounds, to be honest any fighter
that takes Hayes power would probably stop him, im not convinced
on his stamina at all...
Im not to sure really Chambers is not a big heavy, not sure at all. If I had to put my head on the line Id take Haye just at this moment but I wouldnt rule Chambers out.
I would not pick Haye against any of the top 10 ranked heavyweights.
All we know of him at heavyweight is that he had a shaky performance against trial horse, Monte Barrett. Chambers on the other hand has already beaten a few top 10 heavys.
The David Haye supporters remind me of the Mike Ditka Saturday Night live sketch.
I despise David Haye, but I'd have a hard time seeing Eddie Chambers beat him...he moves well enough to negate Eddie's tactics, BUT I would be anxious to see how Haye would react to one of those sharp counter punches
Chambers might have speed but thats only in hand speed, he's quite a slow mover around the ring. I see this as quite a good fight but Chambers gets caught coming in and gets laid out. Don't mind Chambers though, i'd like to see him get a rematch against Povetkin.
For sure. They had him on OnTheGrind radio last night and he's a readl nice guy, talkin about the fight. Think he has realised what he is capable of once he gets properly in shape. He came in at 209 or somethin right? Great stuff..... I think him and Haye would make for quite a strange heavy fight, almost somethin that could take place at cruiser.....
Chambers by UD or late stoppage. after round 6 Haye will get tired of throwing those wild hayemakers and will have nothing left. im not even sure about hayes power at heavyweight yet.
Haye in a 1 round demolition job.
i think chambers win with ring smarts seeing picking his shots that will annoy haye
I have a hard time seeing Chambers beat somebody faster than him who hits as hard as Haye, I think only a few heavyweights probably hit harder than Haye, and maybe none that have more snap on their punches.
I see both klitschko brothers beating both these guys though.
Haye wins by KO solely due to his appearance and marketing ability.
Chambers has bitch tits.
Sam Peter was bigger and stronger and hits harder then Haye whether or not he was in the greatest shape ever, what Haye has is speed but Haye in no way is gonna knock out Chambers in one round especially if Chambers comes in at 208 again
For your information; Haye slipped on an advertising banner, lost his balance, got nailed and took a knee.
He then got up and knocked his man out 4 rounds later.
In regards to Chambers. Im not so sure. I really like Chambers' style.
Its weird because i see a few similarities in Haye & Chambers.
Chambers could be a real nightmare for Haye because he is so calm & composed, reads shots really well and his countering is top draw.
Id say Haye has a massive punchers chance, as with most of the top Heavyweights.
*Edit*
Im quite glad this thread was made. I'd like to see the interest in this fight. I personally think this is the best fight going for the Heavyweight Division.
I'll take Chambers in a cruising UD. I don't think Chambers will go for the kill but he will just make him look like a damn fool after about 4 rounds.
Yeah, in all honesty this would be a bad fight for Haye.
Chambers doesnt waste energy, doesnt get caught with wild shots, and can go 12 easily.
I think Haye would start to gas out late in the fight and Chambers might even have a chance at stopping him then.
Chambers focuses on technique more than physique; Haye does the opposite.
Good fight for Haye to avoid
Eddie Chambers has fought a lot better competition than David Haye has, he hasn't won all the time, but he's ALWAYS been competitive
Well I'll take Haye in any bet if any of you want to put some rep or a name change on the line?
Not sure this will happen though.
To be fair Barrett had already been softened up by his ring entrance. ;D

Tough one to call. Any tough heaVY WHO CAn take David's shots will pose a problem, while Eddie may not be that type of fighter while also being small I think he has the defence and composure to get to the late rounds and, as Lyle says, maybe a couple of those crisp counters will be enough on the tiring Haye.
I don't think Haye will gas at heavy the way he did against Thompson at Cruiser. I honestly think he is a natural HW and he was going through hell to make 200lbs and I think the limit was actually 190lbs when he suffered that devastating defeat. I only see a vicious KO win for Haye in this fight and I hope this fight happens more than the Vitali one for Haye, as I think it is much needed experience at the weight against a world level opponent and it would fire Haye up the rankings especially with the WBO so he can target Wlad who I think he has a far better chance against than the older brother.
I think David's style makes for gassing out, he's always moving quite a bit, he's loading up on his punches, he has piss poor defense and I don't care who you are getting hit takes stamina out of you....Eddie is a very consistent fighter and solid on defense ergo he has little trouble taking guys like Dimitrenko, Sam Peter, Povetkin, Calvin Brock, and Dominick Guinn the distance....I highly doubt David Haye could beat all of those guys much less last 10-12 rounds with them.
I think Guinn would be shockingly difficult for Haye, the guy has a hell of a chin and he's got solid power (when he uses it).
When you compare resumes David Haye might have been "World Champion" but hands down Eddie Chambers has the more impressive resume...I'm, begining to change my own mind about a Chambers-Haye match....suddenly I can see Haye looking confused, not knowing how to attack this guy who covers up like a turtle leaving no openings and then when Haye does throw his wild bombs he gets countered harshly and perhaps dropped on his ass (leaving him incapable of speaking)
