I’m here tonight to ask you a favor!!

Let me explain this
maybe someone’s remember last year on China during the WBC Convention, that the WBC promotes a universal champion by calling all the organizations that have any respectability and have all our champions meet each other to get only one – the universal champion. Every organization (WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO) can keep theirs as their world champion. I believe that this could be a tremendous advancement for TV, for promoters, and for the boxers but leave, at the same time, the authority to the boxing organizations to control their business.

Well I believe this idea could be something absolute awesome!! Just need the right direction!
The thing i need from you is your opinion, about how they need to handle this, how they will be schedule the title, who will fight for him, the rankings, the design of the belt , everything goes

I will be making this on at least 10 forums, and then i will send the post and suggestion to the WBC

i was talking with Mauricio Sulaiman about this and he want to read this!!

So this is a excellent opportunity to everybody from the forum to have a voice and suggest about this idea

Boxers need world titles it gets them TV and money....

Ironically (I guess), what we need is a super organization, ala IOC or FIFA to bring in all the organizations, and thus on top of alphabet crap, have an Alpha champion for all these divisions.

All you have to do is have unified mandatories. IE: Wlad is the IBF and the WBO champ he should not have to worry about two mandatories; the two mandatories should have to fight each other in order to become the unified mandatory. That way unified titles will never be broken.

However, in the real world the cancerous sanctioning bodies do nothing but harm to our great sport. Timothy Bradely recently unified the WBC and WBO titles. The Result: the WBC stripped him of their paper titles within 10 days of the fight.

Also, to be accurate in your photo's of all the titles, you should show 3 pictures of the WBA title, as they now recognize 3 champions per division.

Seriously though, we don't need the alphabet gangs. The Ring Magazine keeps track of the lineal champions, so that is all that is important.

I'm willing to bet that within 10 years there will be another major belt added to the current 4. About 10 years ago the WBO wasnt' recognized as a major belt, now it is. I'm willing to bet that the next one is the IBO.

Very good note. In so many years there will another recognized belt. I remember when the WBO was just a trinket. Now you're a legitimate champ if you attain the WBO. And the Ring Magazine has its flaws also. You can become champ without winning. The belt can be given to you if the champ loses and you are next in line. And you can not be stripped of it. You must fight and lose. If you don't fight or retire then you're still champion. Many organizations are going expansion by way of interim champion also. Its getting sickening. Whats next? In 10 years we'll have another recognized belt and another weight class. We need one champ in each division. MMA is such a new sport but it is more sensible. Boxing is going backwards. Use to have 8 weight classes and 1 champ. Boxing isn't dying its suiciding.

Boxing can fix itself by having 1 champion. And I really don't mind seeing a few weight classes disappear like straw weight and jr. flyweight. Boxing can sure get rid of 3 or 4 weight classes and go back to having 1 champ.

so we need i dont know, more time between mandatory defenses and optional defenses?? they need to know how to manage the champions carrer so they dont lose their title on the table

all these belts put off the public they dont have a clue who is champ:confused:, bloody 17 weight divisions is to much & 50 odd belts per weight:mad:
get all the belts in each division melt them & make all the so called alphabet champs fight each other in a tournament, overall winner gets sole belt!
