SADDOBOXING OFFICIAL RATINGS UPDATE - As of March 23, 2009
HEAVYWEIGHT:
Sultan Ibragimov (formerly eighth) is dropped to the pool due to inactivity. Juan Carlos Gomez falls to seventh following his lost to Vitali Klitschko. While Samuel Peter moves to number six. David Haye & Alexander Dimitrenko move up one spot each to eight and ninth respectively. The number ten ranking becomes vacant.
LIGHTWEIGHT:
Nate Campbell (previously tenth) is removed from the ratings to the pool at Jr. Welter due to his intentions to campaign there and the fact that he has not fought at lightweight in over a year. Number ten is now vacant.
Jr. FEATHERWEIGHT:
Israel Vasquez currently number one has been inactive for over a year but has been given an extension due to a legitimate injury. Rafael Marquez who has been inactive the same period has been removed to the pool as he has simply been on the sidelines. Marquez’ removal allows Celestino Caballero to move up to second, Juan Manuel Lopez advances to third and Steve Molitor jumps to fourth. Bernard Dunne crashes the rankings at number five on the strength of his KO of Ricardo Cordoba who falls to six. Dunne’s entry forces Daniel Ponce DeLeon, Poonsawat Kratingdaenggym, Jhonny Gonzalez and Rendall Munroe all to drop one spot each to seventh, eighth, ninth and tenth respectively.
Jr. FLYWEIGHT:
Brahim Asloum (last ranked ninth) exits due to inactivity. Hugo Cazares moves up one place to ninth, leaving number ten vacant.
STRAWWEIGHT:
Katsunari Takayama (ninth last time) has been removed to the pool as he has been campaigning at higher weights and has not been active at this weight. Nkosinathi Joyi moves up from tenth to ninth, which creates a vacancy at number 10.

HEAVYWEIGHT:
Eddie Chambers debuts at number six following his majority decision over Samuel Peter who previously held that position. The entrance of Chambers causes Samuel Peter, Juan Carlos Gomez, David Haye & Alexander Dimitrenko all to drop one rung each to seventh, eight, ninth and tenth respectively.
Jr. BANTAMWEIGHT:
Hugo Cazares (eighth at Flyweight) enters at number 10 on the heels of his victory over Roberto Vasquez who exits (remains ranked number nine at bantam). Jose Lopez (currently number nine at Flyweight) enters the pool with his unanimous decision over Pramuansak Posuwan.
FLYWEIGHT:
Jose Lopez drops to the pool because of inactivity. Omar Salado moves from 10th to 9th to fill the spot. The 10th spot is now vacant.

Jr. WELTERWEIGHT:
Kendall Holt retains his ranking at number three although he lost, due to the fact that Timothy Bradley was rated higher and he was able to drop him twice in a close fight.
LIGHTWEIGHT:
Rolando Reyes crashes the rankings at number five with his stunning upset of Julio Diaz (fifth last week) who slips two places to seven with the disastrous defeat. This causes David Diaz to move up one space to six, while Michael Katsidis and Edwin Valero move down a rung each to eighth and ninth respectively to accommodate Reyes’ entry. Yuri Foreman (previously ninth) exits to the pool, as he has now been inactive for over a year. Antonio Pitalua is removed from the pool following his destruction at the hands of Valero. Vincente Escobedo enters the pool with his victory over the veteran Carlos Hernandez.
Jr. FEATHERWEIGHT:
Gerry Penalosa enters the pool in the lead up to his upcoming bout with Juan Manuel Lopez.
BANTAMWEIGHT:
Gerry Penalosa (forth last time) drops to the pool due to inactivity. Wladimir Sidorenko, Joseph Agbeko, Fernando Montiel, Abner Mares, Roberto Vasquez & Eric Morel all move up a notch & the number ten spot becomes vacant.

Malcolm Klassen crashes the ratings at number two with his stunning seventh round stoppage of Cassius Baloyi who previously held that position. Baloyi drops two slots to four as he was thoroughly outclassed. Edwin Valero, Roman Martinez, Urbano Antillon, Jorge Barrios, Robert Guerrero & Mzonke Fana all move down one place to fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth & tenth respectively to accommodate Klassen’s entry and Baloyi’s fall. Nicky Cook (previously tenth) is forced from the ratings into the pool.
Jr. BANTAMWEIGHT:
Raul Martinez exits the pool after his crushing KO defeat at the hands of number two-ranked Flyweight Nonito Donaire.
FLYWEIGHT:
Hugo Cazares (eighth last time) exits as he is ranked at Jr. Bantam (number ten) due to his win over Roberto Vasquez (number nine at bantam). Omar Salado moves up to fill the gap at number eight. Moruti Mthalane moves from the pool to number nine based on his solid albeit losing performance against number two-rated Nonito Donaire and a recent victory. Zolani Tete also debuts at number ten on the strength of his first round knockout of Rexon Flores.

Brian Viloria rockets from the pool into number two with his spectacular KO of Ulises Solis who plummets from two to four. Edgar Sosa moves up to three, Giovanni Segura, Cesar Canchila, Omar Romero, Juan Carlos Reveco & Juanito Rubillar all drop a rung to fill spots five through nine respectively. Hugo Cazares (previously ninth) exits here as well, because he is ranked at Jr. Bantam and it’s more than likely he will not return to this weight. Number ten remains vacant.

Carl Froch (fifth before) is promoted to number three by kayoing the man who held that position last time Jermain Taylor. Taylor who was ahead on the cards before the KO falls to a five.
MIDDLEWEIGHT:
Billy Lyell leaps into the pool with his surprising upset of previously unbeaten John Duddy. Duddy exits the pool with the defeat. Winky Wright moves from the Jr. Middleweight ratings (formerly tenth) to settle in the pool here, joining the man who most recently defeated him Paul Williams.

Winky Wright (tenth last time) exits because he has not fought at this weight since 2004. Tenth becomes vacant. Oscar De La Hoya exits the pool with the announcement of his retirement.

MIDDLEWEIGHT:
Paul Williams moves from the pool into the vacant eighth position, based on his impressive performance against Winky Wright.
Jr. MIDDLEWEIGHT:
Jamie Moore who last lost in 2004 enters at number ten having fought a host of solid competition.
WELTERWEIGHT:
Selcuk Aydin enters the pool by stopping well-regarded pool member Jackson Bonsu. Bonsu is removed from the pool with the loss.
Jr. WELTERWEIGHT:
Amir Khan (in the pool at lightweight) crashes the ratings at number seven with his unanimous decision over Andreas Kotelnik. Kotelnik falls from seventh to ninth. Ricardo Torres is forced down one from nith to tenth with Kotelnik’s demotion and Herman Ngoudjo is squeezed out of the ratings to the pool.
LIGHTWEIGHT:
Miguel Vasquez enters at number ten with his upset split decision victory over previously undefeated Breidis Prescott. Prescott exits the pool with the setback. Antonio DeMarco enters the pool after stopping Anges Adjaho in nine rounds.
FEATHERWEIGHT:
Elio Rojas leaps into number five scoring a unanimous over Takahiro Aoh. Aoh (formerly fifth) slumps two places to seventh. Which forces Jorge Solis down one to eight. Ryol-Li Lee enters at nine after outpointing Hiroyuki Enoki who falls two spots from ninth into the pool. Martin Honorio is also forced out of the ratings with the entry of Rojas and Lee.

Undefeated American Chris Arreola enters at number nine having KO’d Jameel McCline in his last fight.
SUPER-MIDDLEWEIGHT:
Jeff Lacy is removed from the pool as his most recent fight was at Light-heavyweight and he is set to face Roy Jones (tenth at Light-heavy) in his next fight. His last fight at Super-middlewight was a decision loss to Jermain Taylor (forth at Super-middle) in November 2008.
MIDDLEWEIGHT:

Vernon Forrest (formerly number one) is removed from the ratings due to his tragic death. Everyone rated second through ten last time advances one position each creating a vacancy at tenth that is filled by Deandre Latimore who is coming of a close split-decision loss to Cory Spinks (now forth at Jr. Middle).
