Mayweather and Brian Kenny Go At It AGAIN on Sportscenter
This time it wasn't as vicious as the last, but once again Floyd makes no sense in giving his reasoning on not wanting to fight Mosley(he also accuses Mosley of taking Steroids):

Re: Mayweather and Brian Kenny Go At It AGAIN on Sportscenter
That Floyd couldn't possibly be more annoying. What a jackass.
He said though he wants to stick around; good I can keep hoping for his demise for what good that will do me:p

I like Floyd's interviews, he's a character which is what you want in an entertainment sport.
I wish there were more like him.

True, like him or hate him, a guy like that can sell tickets - as long as it's not against JMM it appears.
-
Re: Mayweather and Brian Kenny Go At It AGAIN on Sportscenter
I thought Kenny showed a lot of restraint. One more question about what exactly happened to his ribs and he'd be really embarrassed.
It would have made the interview really juicy if Kenny ask him if he was faking the injury because of slow ticket sales to have a reason to move the date to attract a more Mexican audience, but I;m not surprised he didn't.

Though I think 1 Floyd is enough, I like his interviews as well. He does bring up valid points sometimes, but he does duck some of the questions too. I wish he had talked about the multi fight contract. Schaefer was saying something that to watch for Floyd and that he will be fighting these big names, Mosley, cotto, pac, and i think a couple others

Re: Mayweather and Brian Kenny Go At It AGAIN on Sportscenter
He makes no sense at all. He is a pussy who does nothing but put down guys he should be fighting. Marquez might have a whole country behind him but they ain't buying the tickets are they Floyd you fucking dipstick.
Kenny was a bit easy on him there. Shame
-
Re: Mayweather and Brian Kenny Go At It AGAIN on Sportscenter
Floyd Mayweather needs to stop referring to hisself in the 3rd person. It's really annoying. I think only WWE wrestlers should be able to do that.
I don't think he has any clue how unintelligent he sounds.
-
Re: Mayweather and Brian Kenny Go At It AGAIN on Sportscenter
He doesn't fancy fighting Manny much does he ;)
-
Re: Mayweather and Brian Kenny Go At It AGAIN on Sportscenter
Is there anything this guy does or says that so called "floyd haters" don't get a hard on about ? They stalk the guy more than his fans do. Why is b kenny at it with floyd again cause i've heard the guys name here twice in the last twenty years and floyd has been the one boosting his name both times. He's also starting to see the buisness side of sports the same way he critized floyd for doing in the past
-
Re: Mayweather and Brian Kenny Go At It AGAIN on Sportscenter
i think hes funny to watch, he can be annoying tho, i agree with bilbo hes a great entertainer, should be more like him.
-
Re: Mayweather and Brian Kenny Go At It AGAIN on Sportscenter
Floyd is very amusing with his BS.
-
Re: Mayweather and Brian Kenny Go At It AGAIN on Sportscenter
I actually started staring out the window half way through and then clicked the Dana White interview :-X.Just so tiring and have seen this act before.
-
Re: Mayweather and Brian Kenny Go At It AGAIN on Sportscenter
If Mayweather saw irony in a fighter whose self-proclaimed nickname is “Money” warning of the dangers in fighting solely for paychecks, he didn’t acknowledge it. Mayweather, whose camp has denied problems with the IRS over unpaid taxes, insists he’ll reclaim his spot atop the sport, starting next month.
----------------------------------------------------
That would be good news for Floyd if the fight was in August but what's it mean since the fight may take place in Sept.?
-
Re: Mayweather and Brian Kenny Go At It AGAIN on Sportscenter
Floyd did his homework this time. Kenny obviously thought it was just gonna be a repeat of last time & Floyd dropped some knowledge on him.
Also, yeah, i still dont see why a Pacquiao/Mayweather fight should be 50/50. Floyd outsold him against their last 2 common opponents. Whats the hold up, Arum?
-
Re: Mayweather and Brian Kenny Go At It AGAIN on Sportscenter
Just as both fighters get paid why should it matter who gets more. Ego I guess is the answer.
-
Re: Mayweather and Brian Kenny Go At It AGAIN on Sportscenter
Not a big fan of Mayweather's constant antics but I do applaud him on calling out Shane Mosley on his EPO use. I never understand why he and Roy Jones get a free pass with their history of using performance enhancing drugs. In no way do I condone the unforgiveable act Margarito committed (I think he should have done time in prison and have been banished from the sport) but isn't using enhancers which allow you to train harder, which in turn allows you to be stronger faster or better conditioned then otherwise possible a threat to the health of the man across the ring from you. Now obviously it's to a much lesser degree then what Maragarito did but I still feel they get too much of a pass from the public for the serious offence they comitted
-
Re: Mayweather and Brian Kenny Go At It AGAIN on Sportscenter
All he did was talk about money and how much he had/was worth etc instead of answering questions. that money talk is getting old and demonstrates how shallow and pompass the guy is. I love him as a fighter but his personality is crap he seems insecure and obsessed with money.

Re: Mayweather and Brian Kenny Go At It AGAIN on Sportscenter
hehe I like it when he said: "Shane is a steroid user" or something along those lines. That should have a good ripple effect at GBP, who happen to be Floyd's promoters.

I am anxious to see how fast Mosley gets back on the tube with Kenny to challenge those statements. Kat fight:blahbla:
Funny how he also didn't want to talk about his personal lifem then goes into a diatribe about how many paid for mansions he has:D I wouldn't have minded if he'd stayed retired.

I reckon its part of the pre-promotion for a Mosley-Mayweather fight if Pacquiao-Cotto goes ahead

Yea he makes no sense at all, saying what he does on paper is his own business and then states he pulls in $2 million a month and also turns down an opportunity to brag about having a multi fight contract. makes absolutely no sense....

I was wondering that myself. That fight is long overdue. The build-up to that fight would be fun.

Yes you would have as would everyone else who is talking smack about him now. Boxing was getting boring without him. Characters like him keep people watching for one reason or another. So people saying they wish he stayed retired probably are the same people bashing him for retiring so soon in the first place

I'm not even going to argue about that post.
Because you're right:D I think he's a brilliant fighter; and seriously I am glad he came back as long as he takes care of unfinished business; but for me he acts like a fukking jerk and if he'd only stfu I might like him. Of course that's the whole point, he doesn't care if people like him so either way the pecker face wins.

If it makes you feel better Legion, in person he is actually not a dick. Smashup met him at the London workout & he was happy to take pics with him & his kid. Also at the end he came out to the people who'd been outside & signed stuff for all those who'd been waiting, largely kids from our 'ghettos'. He was class & a lot better than the likes of 'down to earth' Ricky Hatton. But let's face it, the act sells a lot better. Nobody was interested in Floyd fights when he was the smiling face of the SFW division, hell remember at that time, it was Corrales who was the bad guy.

Funny you mention that; because I knew about Smash's visit, and hear stories about how nice he is. I hate fake personalities, so the whole "image" he presents bothers me just because he's probably a good dude. That's just me though; and I appreciate boxing; not the bs behind it. But if it sells than more power to him; just my personal outlook on it. I don't deny he is an amaing talent, never have.

Re: Mayweather and Brian Kenny Go At It AGAIN on Sportscenter
Floyd Mayweather is intellectually challenged beyond belief. It's as though his ablity to articulate hasn't developed since the age of 12. And so what you have are these bizarre little outbursts full of contradictions and lacking in any semblance of logic. What was that private life nonsense all about? And I struggled to make sense of his arguments about Mosley.
Great fighter, but profoundly stupid. I rank him up there with Amir Khan in this sense. Except that Khan is a mediocre fighter and profoundly stupid. Zab Judah would fit in with them quite nicely too, though his boxing skills fall in the middle.

I expect I will have swarms of Mayweather and Khan fans all over me in an instant! :p There is truth in what I say, but it is also a little tongue in cheek too. I'm safe with saying these things about Judah because I don't think he has any remaining fans besides Sal the Butcher. ;D

I dont know if you truly didnt understand the comments on Mosley, but he said that Mosley is a cheater and his accomplishments should be null & void until he can prove he acquired them without the help of steroids. He's saying the same things those who are against Bonds, McGwire, Clemens, etc. are saying about their accomplishments being tainted and should therefore be taken off the record books.
Its an ongoing debate. But I for one lost alot of respect for Mosley & i was one of his biggest supporters.

Re: Mayweather and Brian Kenny Go At It AGAIN on Sportscenter
Man I love to see Brian kenney make gayfeather look a complete fool LOL
He as good as said Fraude was faking the rib injury without actually doing it. It was obvious from the way Fraude spluttered & stuttered that there was no injury.
You can take it to the bank that the Fraude will never face Mosely or Margarito. Not for the reasons he gave, though I do agree Mosely was wrongly allowed to escape punishment for his proven steroid abuse, the reason Fraude wont fight is because he knows Both fighters will kick his ass!!!!! Anyway who named him "Money" ??? He named himself that ROFL.
Shoot he had to fake injury because he couldnt sell 3.000 tickets and the Marquez fight would have flopped like a lead balloon. I sincerely hope people STILL refuse to buy tickets for September rehash. Show the little punk that boxing was doing fine without him and the best thing he can do is retire again

Make me laugh and think about that knock out by Kostya Tszyu. Its Judah's legacy.... infamous!
