Re: How far does Kotelnik drop after his loss?
Drop? He wasn't exactly high to begin with.

He was ranked 7th in our ratings heading in. I think he drops 2 places

Does Breidis Prescott remain in the pool at 135 after being upset?
Does Breidis Prescott remain in the pool at 135 after being upset by Miguel Vasquez?
I vote he is removed

Does Miguel Vasquez to claim the vacant 10th spot at 135 after defeating Prescott
Does Miguel Vasquez to claim the vacant 10th spot at 135 after defeating Breidis Prescott?
The vote was approved from Prescott's fight to be for the vacant spot. With Vasquez winning the fight I vote he earns the vacancy.

Re: How far does Kotelnik drop after his loss?
He was thoroughly dominated IMO, so has to drop 2.
-
Re: Does Breidis Prescott remain in the pool at 135 after being upset?
I vote he remains, as I felt he edged the fight due to the KD

I didn't see the fight personally, but whether or not he edged it or not. He shouldn't be struggling against fighters of that class. He also earned a close decision against Richard Abril another mediocre fighter.
I like Breidis Prescott and despite being a puncher, he has some decent skills. But he loops his punches too much, he has no real plan B, and i think he needs to go back to the gym, and work on some things.
I still think with his height and reach, he could be alot better. I think they should make him more into boxer/puncher, because at times i've seen him box quite well, but he can't sustain it.

Re: Does Breidis Prescott remain in the pool at 135 after being upset?
Nope,Out of the ratings pool. These pools are stacked and need to clear they way.
-
Re: Does Miguel Vasquez to claim the vacant 10th spot at 135 after defeating Prescott
If it was approved as a vacancy filler....then yes.
-
Re: How far does Kotelnik drop after his loss?
I say 2.So Ngoudjo falls into pool?

Either way Ngoudjo's gone, as Kotelnik can only fall as far as 10th. But if Kotelnik drops 2 places, Torres will move to 10th

I agree Ngoudjo has got to go, done nothing to deserve being there, however Torres also should have to go as he has not fought at the weight in a year, his last fight being at Light-Middleweight

That's correct. But if he is removed this week Ngoudjo will remain as he will move up one spot to fill Torres' exit. It was his 1st fight back in nearly a year after being stopped by Holt so a weight gain is to be expected... put it to a vote next week & I'd be for it, we could vote on Maidana entering the vacant spot

Def 2 spots down for Kotelnik....and frankly its overdue but Ngoudjo out.I say to the pool.I'm not in favor of dropping Torres in addition.
I'm rethinking my eagerness to fill a vacant position right away.As managers maybe we need to knuckle down on a longer forecast of upcoming matches to fill a spot...but with all of the recent fights falling apart, who knows haha.
Its a Mod call but I'm really liking a thread for each weight class ;D

Torres will have to go pretty soon, given how much higher his last fight was, I don't really wanna see him go, but we should try stick to the rules.
There's a schedule of all fights in all divisions that should affect our rankings sticked at the top of the thread. I will try update it as regularly as possible so we know what fights are coming up. We have at least 2 fights confirmed that will fill championships. Anyway check that out, it's not done by week only month but it's separated by division so you'll know what's coming up.
On the divisional thread thing, I've just been trying that out on another poll & it's not possible to edit a poll or its options once posted, unless its to delete it all together. We'll have to discuss how to sort this out in the other section

Just keeping things official, plus most of us thought Prescott was a sure thing, some might feel Vasquez doesn't quite make rank but prefer pool entry

I agree Torres should go soon. We should put a poll up at the end of this weekend's results...

Re: How far does Kotelnik drop after his loss?
Does anyone else think it would be a good idea to post the rankings for the division when doing these types of polls?
-
Re: Does Miguel Vasquez to claim the vacant 10th spot at 135 after defeating Prescott
Vazquez absolutely deserves the spot, he has a spoiler style to give a lot of people a lot of problems and his success here should open doors for him to fight some higher ranked guys.

If we vote that the winner of a fight fills a vacant spot, we must honor that vote, regardless of who wins.

Welterweight #10 Selcuk Aydin
With his victory over Jackson Bonsu (in the pool) Does Selcuk Aydin Enter the pool or take the vacant 10th place spot.
Also does Jackson Bonsu get dropped from the pool?
-
Re: Welterweight #10 Selcuk Aydin
We voted on Mayweather/Marquez being for the 10th spot instead

Re: Welterweight #10 Selcuk Aydin
Aydin to pool, Bonsu out. #10 is reserved for the Mayweather/ Marquez winner imo

How far does Urbano Antillon drop?
How far does Urbano Antillon (currently 9th) drop after being stopped by Miguel Acosta? 1 spot to 10th or 2 spots to the pool?
Acosta enters at 9, Miguel Vasquez who last week upset Breidis Prescott is currently 10th...
-
Re: How far does Urbano Antillon drop?
I vote him back into the pool...two spots.Cannot force a guy out and fault him for winning to secure a rank for another.Antillon needs to work on cutting them down and some head movement. He'll be back in the ranks;)
-
Re: How far does Urbano Antillon drop?
2 spots for now, he'll be back though.
-
Re: How far does Urbano Antillon drop?
Acosta should be rank higher being an Interim Champion now maybe at 7th. Antillon has his first loss and should move 1 step backwards at 10th.

Yeah, it was awhile back. For the vacant 10th spot at welter. But good spotting again, if Rodriguez defeats Hlatswayo the most he could fall is 3 spots to 10th & with Delvin's entry there would no longer be a vacancy. Therefore the Mayweather/ Marquez winner would only earn pool entry...

With our ratings a fighter's win their rankings, so with Antillon entering at the fight at 9th; Acosta won that spot. If a fighter loses to an unranked or lower ranked fighter the committee vote on whether he should drop between 1-3 places. All the rules of our rankings are on the 1st page of the Official Ratings Thread
Only managers votes count, if your interested in becoming a manager let us know as we need active managers. You need to commit to being in here at least weekly

Re: How far does Urbano Antillon drop?
The Poll has now closed. The results are as follows:
Urbano Antillon is removed to the pool by a vote of 5 points to 1
-
How far does Junior Witter drop?
With Junior Witter (currently #8 at 140) quitting against Alexander, how far should he drop? 1-3 spots?
I vote 3 places into the pool!
-
Should Nate Campbell remain in the pool at 140?
After the way Campbell's fight ended against Bradley should he remain in the pool at Jr. Welter?
I vote yes
