regardless of who he was in the ring with ? For me it was Oscar De La Hoya.
one name comes to mind............
GATTI
That's actually a very good answer, De La Hoya was always entertaining no matter who he was in the ring with the exception of the last one and certainly he was tailing off. But he was always exciting and his fights were always exciting. His fights with Derrell Coley, Oba Carr, John Avila, Arturo Gatti and David Kamau were all very entertaining imo. I don't know if it's my pick but it's not as bad of a pick as one might think.
Yeah but he's evil.
Chico, Manny, Cotto, just recently. I liked Haye when he was an active fighter. :-\
de la hoyas had some stinkers in the past mayweather, sturm and the hopkins fights come to mind.
cant say the same about gatti
Roy Jones in his day did it for me and a pre-prison Tyson.
For me I gotta say Shane Mosley. always fights the best and always comes to fight. The only boring fight imop was against Mayorga but to Ko him in the last seconds of round 12 finished a poor performance with a bang!!
Also have to say Cotto cant really remember a boring fight ive ever seen him in.
In the last 15 yrs..
Gatti
Ward
Pacquiao
Emmanual Augustas
Vinnie Pazienza is a personal favorite for putting on a good show. Agreed with Gatti, Cotto and Oscar who were mentioned as good showman.
nigel benn
aside from Gatti, who's the obvious choice, well i'd say Arguello, Chavez, Gomez, Morales, Cotto, DLH, Mosley, Foreman, Holyfield at cruiserweight, Pacquiao, Corrales, Meldrick Taylor, etc.
I always enjoy watching Katsidis fight, he's going for it bell to bell.
Matthew Saad Muhammad
Bobby Chacon
Arturo Gatti
Kevin Kelley
ETC.
Apart from the obvious ones that have already been mentioned i'd say Emmanuel Augustus, Mayweather (most disagree but i love his style), Even Khan has been in some exciting fights as has Big Enzo Mac.
Present fighters:
Haye, Froch, Duddy, Khan, Katsidis, Casamayor and Marquez.
Vasquez, Hatton, Gatti, Pavlik, Andrade, Marquez brothers, Katsidis, Ward and Augustus, Margarito{booooooo}, Kirkland{:'(}, Cintron win or lose;D
Juan Diaz
Cotto, Paul Williams, Pavlik, and Pacman
Shane Mosley

Rafael Marquez. Before it was Terry Norris and Erik Morales. Junior Jones also always put on a good show.
Some good picks I like the Diaz pick.
Yuriorkis Gamboa. I forget who made the Naz comparision but it is dead on in the types of performance Gamboa puts on. Like or dislike, Gamboa hasn't been boring since he turned pro which is why I personally root for him.
That's a good one, good pick amat you are very intelligent and attractive to boot. Way to show them.
I don't think Morales is being mentioned enough in this thread.
How does Augustas not belong in this thread...The topic is
"Which boxer for you always put on a good show"
No which fight had the best record...or they must have been a world champion etc....Win or lose a fighter can put on a good show....
To say Augustas was not an entertaining fighter 90% of his career either says you just don't like him or just don't know enough about him

Johhny Nelson.
I love Augustus but he wasn't always fun to watch. He has been inconsistent in his career and while he has some questionable losses, he has some ugly losses too in which he DIDN'T put on a good show. Even the most ardent Augustus fan will admit that he wasn't ever consistent and even as a fan that is a very fair assesment. Plus, there is a huge probability that he took a DIVE against Alan Vester and imo that should disqualify him from the thread on that basis alone. That's not a good show.
Kid Thunder and Zelenoff are terribly entertaining.
Rocky Marciano
Ricardo Mayorga.
Never been in a boring fight in his life.
Cept for when Cory Spinks ran for his life and Mayorga got gyped outta two knockdowns and shoulda won the fight.
Tommy Hearns.
Nigel Benn.
Julian Jackson.
Gatti.
Terry Norris.
I can't believe no one has mentioned the great Felix "Tito" Trinidad. From the moment he won the title from Maurice Blocker, Tito could be counted on to KO someone in devastating fashion after being in some trouble himself. I think most people are judging Tito too much from his fights including and post Hopkins. Before that, he was a pay per view stud and one of the greatest welterweights of all time.

I'm sorry to say but the death penalty :fighting0043gi5: is attached to even joking that Nelson was the " ENTERTAINER " he claimed to be. The only PACIFIST to wear gloves and enter a boxing ring.
He had 1 thing in common with Michael Jackson , they both wore gloves for no apparent reason !
