I think he should
Win over Barrera? If you can call it that. It was a travesty of a fight if ever I have seen one.
Khan should rematch Prescott, no doubt about it.
I think he should too - especially now Prescott has lost. Follow Lewis' lead.
If he doesn't then he's not confident of a win.
Hatton, and the other main men at that weight, aside I think this is the biggest seller.
He will have to prove his worth against a big puncher at some point - Presoctt would be easy to outbox.
Miles i know where your coming from regarding Barrera but on Amir's record its a win regardless of what us fight fans say
I think he should only bother if Prescott doesn't fade into obscurity... Which he may just do.
I think he should rematch him because this fight will hang over his head for a while yet
I am surprised Prescott isn't calling for a rematch. Most fighters usually do when they beat someone early in their career and the loser goes onto better things. Usually the winner will never let any one forget they were the first to "get him".
That's true. It can never be a win in my mind though and I will always discredit it whenever I see it raised as a positive tick on Amir's record. I don't really want to hijack the thread, so I will just leave it at that.
There is no reason not to fight Prescott and it is perhaps the most opportune moment. Prescott has been shown to be pretty straightforward and the 0 is gone, so why not try and settle the score?
Does anybody really care what Amir Kahn does? :dontknow: ;)
Not sure how much it would prove now, since Prescott just lost a pretty one sided fight to Miguel Vazquez, who was a short notice replacement. Prescott got a bit exposed in that fight, so not sure how much weight it would carry if Kahn were to fight him again. Plus, I have a feeling that cockRoach won't take a chance of putting him in with any heavy hitters for awhile. I wouldn't be surprised if he wants Kahn to fight feather fisted Malignaggi next.
I heard they were trying to drag Erik Morales out of retirement and he was going to fight him in vegas on Cotto vs Pac undercard if they do thats bad
Kahn would beat Prescott 9 out of 10.
I like Roach, but this calling out of Morales doesn't sit well with me, especially considering Roach's stance when any of HIS fighters go on too long.
Of course he should (fighut Prescott), but they're not even mentioning him at the moment. But it does make sense that they wait as Roach (and now Khan even) admit that he's only a work in progress for the next few years, so it makes sense not calling out the main players for now, or even KLhan's Colombian boogeyman.
Absolutely I think he should rematch him. But I would have a double card with Amir as the main event and have Breidis fight on the undercard against someone he can look good against then have them rematch if they both win.
Can't believe he wants Morales he has never fought at light-Welterweight Khan needs to be thinking Prescott rematch or Bradley,Mallinaggi,Holt or Nate Campbell. Yes khan is still a young talent but he's also a world champion who has had 20 odd fights he needs to be stepping it up now his skills aren't going to get any better than they are now if he's not careful he will end up having 20 odd world title defences against past its and bums before moving on to fight legends past there best.
Not to sure, very dangerous fight as Prescott is on a defeat and is not a known name, if Khan got beat which personally i think he gets sparked again where does he go from there?
Warren will never put him in with Prescott imo.
Khan is just a big gay. He might as well retire now that he has won his "belt". I hope they put him in with a good fighter so I can see him mutilated in a bad way.
If he wants to get knocked out again, than yeah he should
If he stays with Warren he will try and milk every last doller he can out of Khan and dodge any real threats until there is nowhere else to go, which at that stage Franky hopes Amir has built up a good enough following to have a Hbo ppv event and earning him a nice pay day so at least when he gets humiliated, Warren will have earnt a great deal of money from him ;D
I would give Amir Khan alot of credit, if he beat Breidis Prescott. I don't think Breidis Prescott is that good personally, but he's tall and he has a big punch, so if he can beat a puncher like Breidis Prescott. Maybe i'll start believing in him.
Erik Morales is a joke of a choice it really is, i just watched his last few fights again. And his performance against Zahir Raheem was horrendous, he would get out-speeded by Amir Khan. And get beaten one sidedly would be a horrible fight to see, and its a joke if it happens.
Rather than show how poor Prescott is this highlights how poor Amirs boxing ability and punch resitance are, dont forget, prescott had to travel for that fight as well.
Amir is a little cuunt, he nearly kills someone because of his twatish driving, then gets caught driving like a priick a couple more times, hes just a little priick who cant take a punch, he made me laugh in the Barrera fight with the raised arms like Pacquiao, the only time Manny does it is if hes hurt, now, Amir is 13 years younger and naturally about 3 weights higher, yet he needed to try the kidology routine because an old retired feather weight could get to him and I do believe had Marco not been cut that Amir would have been stopped at some point in the fight and its only a matter of time before he has to face someone again who can punch:banana:
he should fight one of these next or at least in the fight after next.
Junior Witter
Ricky Hatton
Timothy Bradley
Nate Campbell
Devon Alexander
Marcos Maidana
Kendall Holt
Ricardo Torres
Juan Urango
Breidis Prescott
But we will get Erik morales,Eamon magee,Lenny Daws or Gavin Rees on sky Box office
Prescott just got beat by a nobody so he aint gonna fight him.I would just put the defeat behind him for now and fight some1 that is in the top 10.
He had to travel even further to fight Kahn. ;)
I don't like Kahn myself, I figured that I made that clear with my comment about whether anybody cares, I just think after Prescotts last fight, it wouldn't mean as much. Now if Prescott comes back, and beats some higher talent, then a rematch would matter more IMO.
Honestly, I couldn't care less either way.
The bit you put in bold is actually what I meant, Prescott had to travel to fight Khan;)
I enjoyed watching him in the olympics but since then iv just wanted to see him get knocked out
and since then ive wanted to see him get knocked out again;D;D;D
Lets not get pissy with Khan here, we know his limitations, hes not world class he has been knocked out and now Mr Warren plays Russian roulette with every fighter he puts Khan in with, I mean the chin was pure waterford crystal to begin with but now its only held together with some glue.................It wont be long before all the kings horses and all the kings men put Amir Khan back together again;D
Yes, avenge the loss like a man..........
Prescott recently lost to a journey man. So his value has been lowered and to think when he was due to fight Edwin Valero I thought he had a chance. Hell !! After the Khan fight I thought he was the next Hitman Hearns, but like a lot of big punches, that's all they have, is a big punch. Khan doesn't need Prescott.
If Khan has improved so much as he tells us he has , then lets see him keep his boxing together against Prescott , who will come out throwing bombs.
Although Khan can be a dick and he's been guilty of bigging himself up a lot I still want him to do well, I think he knows he has to prove himself and hopefully he'll set out to do it.
Also I think it's kinda unfair to say Khan isn't world class just because of his chin?? ... I mean, that is truly a hinderance but to take anything anyway from his boxing ability because of a flaw he has no control over is not right.
If you were to criticise him for his ability alone then fair enough, he does still need improvement there.
I think everone agrees on Morales not coming back, would that not just be another Pacquiao v De la Hoya?... although this time we could predict it before the fight occurs.
I don't know if he even cares about Prescott now, hes slowly progressing, and if he wins his mandatory against that Ukranian dude rumour has it he's gonna fight Bradley, which I think is watchable.
Kinda feel sorry for Prescott though, he beat the "wonder kid" and just sort of floated around for a bit, didn't get much credit from the boxing world and then was beaten and totally exposed by a relatively unknown boxer.
I know that Prescott said not long after he sparked out Khan that he would be more than happy to fight Khan in a rematch.I felt sorry for Prescott after he ko'd Khan because he hardly got any publicity at all.I think Prescott would just do the same job on Khan im affraid to say.Not as quick as 56 seconds as he did when their first met but in at least 4rounds.Its not like i hate Khan because i dont really, well not as a fight anyhow, its just that i think Khan has been kind of lucky throughout his pro career with hand picked washed up fighters.
Anyways, could someone tell me what Prescott lacks as a fighter inside the ring?,we know he has power!
Khan should just fight valero! end of lol ;D....
I don't really think Edwin Valero is that good either, the only thing he has is power. He has shown some skills in sparring, but in actual fights he has only shown me power. He hasn't got speed or defense, he's too wild and i think he will get exposed against a good boxer.
Again im not saying Amir Khan would beat him, i think he KO's Amir Khan no doubt in my mind. But im just saying Edwin Valero doesn't really impress me, he reminds me of a very early version of Manny Pacquiao without the speed.
