Juan Urango vs. Randall Bailey
Now I know these two are not exactly prime time players but is their any doubt what so ever that on August 24th that bombs will fly and chins will be punctured?
We have sooooo many nice matches coming up after a slight lull and style wise I'm loving this one.The Ibf trinket aside you have the wide heavy punches & forward pressure of strong Urango head to head with the long in the tooth but seering straight right hand of an equalizer in Bailey.Bailey can move well and banks all out on that beauty of a right hand bomb.....call me crazy I think it's one of.....one of the 'truest' straight rights going today.May come down to Baileys chin,he has touched the canvas more than a few times... but I'm leaning towards him finding Urangos melon an inviting and reachable target right down the middle.
So who sleeps ? Or does it go the 12 rounds?

Re: Juan Urango vs. Randall Bailey
2 huge punchers inside the ring is enough for me

Urango might of looked like crap against Berto but at 140 he still holds the IBF strap and is still considered one of the top dogs, and given that styles make fights, i think this should be a barn burner, but i think Bailey is gonna get badly stopped, IMO Urango's smothering style and awesome power will give Bradley all he could handle, but still see Bradley pickin up a well deserved win, that should be a great fight as well

Re: Juan Urango vs. Randall Bailey
Bailey's legs are shaky. I would love to see him land a right hand down the middle and have Urango do a dance but I kind of suspect he gets knocked out.

can't really remember Urango ever being seriously hurt though

Re: Juan Urango vs. Randall Bailey
It says a lot about Bailey that he is still in this position & still a very capable force, in saying that though I think Urango will brutalize him! Both will land some big shots but I think Juan will take them better & either stop Bailey late or punish him to the final bell... look for fireworks throughout!!!

Re: Juan Urango vs. Randall Bailey
I'm rooting for Bailey but I think Urango will eventually wear him down. I forget the guys name, Nasser something but he had Urango hurt momentarily.

well but his chin is a lot more sturdy and consistent, cause even though Bailey has only been stopped twice (Cotto & Hurtado), he's been dropped and rocked a couple times, IMO Urango's gonna wear him down and brutally stop him

Re: Juan Urango vs. Randall Bailey
I don't really care who wins, this is going to be exciting which ever way it turns out. My guess is Urango's youth wins the day, but I'm not counting the straighter punching Bailey out. I'm gonna say this lasts 4 rounds tops and at the end of the day we'll have a highlight reel KO.

Berto was way faster than him, of course he looked like crap.

what does that have to do with anything? i only mentioned the Berto fight because it was at 147 not at 140, and Urango is still champion at 140
perfect quote to describe Taeth "for being a smart person you sure are dumb"

Re: Juan Urango vs. Randall Bailey
Thread-jack, much Taeth? Berto? huh?

Re: Juan Urango vs. Randall Bailey
I couldn't care less who wins that fight, but on the same ESPN2 card Tavoris Cloud is fighting Clinton Woods!
I suspect Urango will win a decision

I can see a scenario in which Urango grinds him down...making it a rough inside fight with strength a key but Bailey is like a cat with nine lives, some good, some bad.I think he's pulled it together for one last stand.I really like his experience & straight right power against a squared up,forward charging southpaw Urango. No doubt Urangos chin is sound...his neck is as thick as other fighters thighs...but I dont think he's ever tasted power like he'll come against vs. Bailey. This one is must see TV,cant wait.

Re: Juan Urango vs. Randall Bailey
You know, this should be a good fight although I think Urango is a bit dull. Urango has never been wobbled really either I don't think, but his resume is a load of crap really with Berto and Hatton aside. I would like to see Bailey knock Urango out and make some noise, because although he isn't the best boxer in the world, Bailey is a genuine decicated man (I listened to a radio interview with him before the Gato Fig fight and he was doing road work while on the phone) and certainly has the power to beat any current fighter at 140 IMO.....

Re: Juan Urango vs. Randall Bailey
Bailey strikes me as a guy who can get in the trenches for sure.
I think Urango is going to take this by decision. This is a perfect opportunity for Bailey to come out of the B+ shell he's been stuck in for a few years. Sux he's had to face some really good opposition in his day. Cotto.. Corley.. Ener.. Hurtado..
Maybe he'll surprise me, but I thought Figeuroa was already exposed so bad against Augustus.
Aside: You guys ever read anything on Urango?
He's had 6 kids with 5 different women (b4 he was even 24, prob more now) and they all live with his ex-sister in law and his mom in Columbia... (errr, something like that) He just sends the checks home. Poor guy is fighting to feed all those mouths. Honestly, I don't feel that bad for him. I heard about these methods called birth control!

Re: Juan Urango vs. Randall Bailey
Shameless eager bump :shinner: 2 hrs...Cloud /Woods top notch crossroads scrap as well.....just hoping NO DELAYS with Nascar, etc.
-
Re: Juan Urango vs. Randall Bailey
Randall has the more suspect chin though Urango is a bit more one dimentional. Im going with Randall based on his recent track record against capable southpaws. It will be either a close Bailey decision or a Mid round Urango TKO.

Re: Juan Urango vs. Randall Bailey
WSOP coming on before FNF, so we should get going on time. The more I think about this, the more I favor Urango. I would go as far to say unless Bailey does some serious damage in the first 3 rounds, Urango will simply walk in and show how wobbly Bailey's legs have become. Nice having the nature theme in Woods vs. Cloud. I think Cloud could have had a shot against a top contender a few years ago, but inactivity is killing his career. See if he keeps the momentum going after he slaughters Woods.

Re: Juan Urango vs. Randall Bailey
unless Bailey lands a huge bomb on Urango, Urango by stoppage. he's just the more durable fighter.

Re: Juan Urango vs. Randall Bailey
How long we looking at guys before the first fight?

Re: Juan Urango vs. Randall Bailey
I almost want to change my prediction in the contest to Bailey by KO (I have a vision of a Urango dance) but I guess I won't, his legs are a bit shotish, Urango probably the safer bet
