What are you...a geriatric-sist ;D
5 is tough but off the top and for different reasons...save the 'hater' talk :cwm13::
Ishe Smith...dry your eyes and get on home son
Floyd Mayweather...awesome skills but hes an azzhole and I'd rather watch grass grow.
Sergio Mora...Sorry Diane,luv u long time
Arthur Williams...This guy has the longevity of a armored cockroach
Roy Jones jr...I think he knows where he really stands & is fixing to go promotional route
Vivian Harris...think he just had a blessing in disguise..punch resistance fini
Michael Grant....ditto
Gamboa...coming up on the 14 minute mark now:-X
Oh and of course Zab judah

Re: Name no more than 5 fighters you would prefer to see less of

Re: Name no more than 5 fighters you would prefer to see less of
Well apart from the aging obvious choices....
Paul Malinaggi--I once had hopes for you but you have proved your 15min is gone (Unless he pulls a miracle off against Diaz)
Zab Judah- The story nnever changes, always some drama or another...None of it ever surrounding a big win
Antonio Tarver- Never was a fan and now he is not even a top tier fighter it's over...The Magic has faded
Jeff Lacy- For his own good
The heavyweight Division- Leave in The Brothers Grimm
-
Re: Name no more than 5 fighters you would prefer to see less of
This is in no particular order
Zab Judah
Paul Malignaggi
ricardo mayorga
cory spinks
sam peter
-
Re: Name no more than 5 fighters you would prefer to see less of
I disagree on Zab Judah...I think he is a great gatekeeper.....I dont agree with all of his title opportunities but the guy has speed and power and would be fun to watch against any up and comer......
I agree on Lacy, Holyfield, Malignaggi, Sergio Mora, Jones Jr...
Lacy Holyfield and Jones Jr were fighters I liked and I hate seeing them like this.......
Mora and Malignaggi are not fighters I liked ever...ha.....

Re: Name no more than 5 fighters you would prefer to see less of
Hmm I must admit there are no fighters I really hate, and even those that I do in a way I look forward to them fighting more, just because you can hope they lose.
However I find I can go to loathing a fighter to respecting them again quite quickly, my emotions are not cast in stone.
I think Holyfield and Toney are fighting on well past their primes though, and its not good for their legacies, yet at the same time you can bet I'll be tuning in whenever they next fight.

Re: Name no more than 5 fighters you would prefer to see less of
Paulie Malignaggi : the only boxer with no fan, I'm just surprised his cornermen don't fall asleep between rounds.
Bernard Hopkins : I would hate to see bernard taking a beating at this level. But sill love to see him, I admit it.
Evander Hollyfield : same, he's too old, he's not the same since 2000.
Jeff Lacy : I doesn't have the level
Ricky Hatton : think he retired, but if not, he should.
-
Re: Name no more than 5 fighters you would prefer to see less of
John Ruiz
Antonio Tarver
Evander Holyfield
Jeff Lacy
Roy Jones

I don't know what that means.
Spicoli great call on Ishe, I hate the wait, wait, wait style. He makes Mayweather look like Juan Diaz.
John Ruiz. Suprised noones mentioned him yet, he is ever lurking as a mandatory ready to pounce, or hug his opponent to death.
Valuev. Another snoozer style heavyweight, doesn't really have skill at all just mass and reach.
That's all I have really.
-
Re: Name no more than 5 fighters you would prefer to see less of
I mentioned John Ruiz big dog. I have never cared for him.
-
Re: Name no more than 5 fighters you would prefer to see less of
Good question Holmcall
David Haye: All hype, then pulls out of the sh@t he gets himself in.
Chris Arreola: I just see much there. Classic hyped HBO home fighter.
Winky Wright: He was a great fighter but he needs to stop now.
Michael Katsidis: Ring entrances of an elite fighter, really a C level fighter
Nate Campbell: Im surprised to see myself pick him, cause I respect the man, but I think we have already seen the best of him and hes no longer relevant.

That is the worst list ever.
Katsidis is a blood an guts warrior; Arreola has never had a dull fight; and Haye is a puncher with no chin.
I bet you would really hate Rocky Balboa. Good thing he is fictional.

Please say this is a joke. I really hope Jacobs done a number on him i.e. career ending performance.
Looking forward to Klassen/Guerrero and watching Diaz pummel Malignaggi.

Dude, I never said I hated any of them. The title of the thread is fighters you would perfer to see less of. Its an opinion. Boxing is full of warriors, most you have never seen because they never got the big paydays on HBO or Shotime. I think some of those guys are over exposed.

Re: Name no more than 5 fighters you would prefer to see less of
Valuev = he got too many gift decisions and is boring
Margachito = obvious
Ruiz = boring
Chavez Jr = PPV material?
Lacy = he's done

I actually think Smith has the style to make Jacobs look bad. I think Jacobs will win a close UD/SD, but I don't think it will be a blowout by any means.

Re: Name no more than 5 fighters you would prefer to see less of
My list:
Lacy - finished as a fighter, has taken a ton of damage and I'd rather not see him end up as a vegetable.
Holyfield - old, past it, nothing left to do but destroy his legacy and potentially suffer some bad side effects when he finally does quit.
Vivian Harris - FNF this past week was just scary, it's obvious he's done as a fighter, his resistance is gone.
Zab Judah - fuck Zab Judah
Ricky Hatton - same reasons as the first three I mentioned.
HM: Margarito - cheating, plaster using piece of trash.
-
Re: Name no more than 5 fighters you would prefer to see less of
1-5 Rocky Juarez
I just don't understand how he keeps getting shots!

Unfortunately for boxing as a whole you are right. I just hope Jacob's volume punching does the trick.

Re: Name no more than 5 fighters you would prefer to see less of
Most have been said but I'll go with
Judah
Malignaggi
Ruiz
Golota
Holyfield

Re: Name no more than 5 fighters you would prefer to see less of
Wow! Holy and Paulie seem to be leading the pack down the stretch. :appl::appl:

Re: Name no more than 5 fighters you would prefer to see less of
don't really see how anyone can find Katsidis boring, i mean he's not as good as he was being made out to be, but the dude is a warrior and is plenty entertaining
1.Marco Antonio Barrera-he's shot, and don't wanna see the guy hurt badly
2.Erik Morales-same as above
3.Felix Trinidad-same as the other two
4.Lennox Lewis-he's a goddam awful commentator HBO should drop him and pick Jones Jr back up
5.David Haye-the guy should go with Ruiz to the WWE, both talk plenty of shit and never back it up

I think it's going to be one of those fights where it's going to be volume punching vs. clean, effective countering and defense. Smith is very strong defensively, and while not many people follow him at all he has been doing well over the last little while. I expect him to land the harder, cleaner shots more consistently, but I expect Jacob's volume, reputation, and promotional team will see him through to the victory. I would not be surprised if it was a SD/disputed decision or even a Smith victory. Jacob's has looked good but he has fought nobody and Smith is a very crafty, experienced opponent for his first real step up. I think it's a bad match up for Jacobs.

Because he was a raging douchebag after the Campbell fight and I think he is 1-2 fights away from being exposed. I think Devon Alexander takes him to the woodshed
