If Pac Man and Mayweather fight, what weight should it be at.
The two best pound for pound fighters in close weight devisions have a chance of fighting each other if they beat their opponents in upcoming matches. What weight should they fight at.
I would like to see them fight at light welterweight. If they fight at welterweight it would give Mayweather too much of an advantage. Will he go down a devision or play it safe at his comfort weight.
Also does anyone know what weight Mayweather and Marces will be fighting at?

140lbs!!Pacman will be fine at that weight, just take in account what he did to Hatton!I'll say that it'll be the hardest fight Mayweather will ever have against Pacman. It'll be close.I hope it happens!

Re: If Pac Man and Mayweather fight, what weight should it be at.
147 IMO like the Cotto fight should have been. Screw catchweights
-
Re: If Pac Man and Mayweather fight, what weight should it be at.
I dont think there will be a problem at having this fight at 147 Mayweather is a natural 140 lb fighter, Roach wont bitch about the weight for this fight if it did happen.

Re: If Pac Man and Mayweather fight, what weight should it be at.
160lbs. And they should wear 22oz gloves.
Whatever the weight/gloves/ring size.. Mayweather will be very very sorry. Then again.. this fight will not happen until Pac is past it, if at all. We all know PBF would never fight someone at their weight and in their prime.

147lbs Pac should go up to Mayweathers weight like he should have for Cotto
-
Re: If Pac Man and Mayweather fight, what weight should it be at.
147.
Floyd walks around in the 150s and never has a problem making weight. Making him come down to 145 isn't going to give Pac any advantage because Floyd will make the weight easy.
Floyd-Pac will be about speed and skill, weight will be no object.

Re: If Pac Man and Mayweather fight, what weight should it be at.
I agree but then what about 140?
Im just askin you cause im sure you'd have a better answer than me ;D

Re: If Pac Man and Mayweather fight, what weight should it be at.
No way will it be at 140, not if Cotto fights Pac at 145. Roach has already said that he would have Pacquiao at 147 if he was to fight Mayweather. There isn't actually a huge size difference between the two though.
Oh & Mayweather & Marquez are fighting at 143lbs.

Re: If Pac Man and Mayweather fight, what weight should it be at.
Anywhere from 140 to 147, it doesn't matter. They can both make any weight between there, definitely anything above 143 or so.
There is no reason to complain if this fights not at 147, its not a welterweight fight, its a super fight. I don't think there's a big problem with Cotto-Pac at 145 but at least there I can see the rationale behind complaining about it, but not in this case.

I actually didn't know that

Re: If Pac Man and Mayweather fight, what weight should it be at.
I guess some people aren't following the fight close enough... I think Mayweather-Pacquiao should be somewhere between 140-147, it really doesn't matter, they are pretty much the same size and little bit smaller Pacquiao is the puncher out of the two of them.

so people can make lame excuses?

Re: If Pac Man and Mayweather fight, what weight should it be at.
147- floyds weight
if pac wants to be the best he has to beat the best at their own game - floyd will not fight him at any other weight

Re: If Pac Man and Mayweather fight, what weight should it be at.
If it happens, I expect Roach to start the negotiations at around 138.75.

Re: If Pac Man and Mayweather fight, what weight should it be at.
I heard roach said he would want that fight at 142.45367837 pounds ;D
-
Re: If Pac Man and Mayweather fight, what weight should it be at.
i think Roach will ask for 143 since the fight b/t Mayweather/Marquez is set at 143. Mayweather may push for 145 since Pac will fight Cotto at that weight or possibly even 147.
-
Re: If Pac Man and Mayweather fight, what weight should it be at.
The weight really doesn't matter with PBF. He is a small welterweight anyways so the catchweight is not a draining tactic or an excuse. Roach already said PBF is the only welterweight he would fight at 147. So I don't think the weight is a factor for either side.

The two best pound for pound fighters should meet on equal ground, then there will be no dispute who won the fight and who is the best.

Re: If Pac Man and Mayweather fight, what weight should it be at.
147 mayweather by decision mayweather just has to much talent, pac man had a hard time with cotto, that was no easy win and mayweather moves 10Xs better then cotto, it will be close but mayweather will come out with the win, people have tryed to pressue and pin him to the ropes with no luck look at the de la hoya fight and roach was in hes cornner too, am i the only one who thinks something was wrong with cottos right hand after the 4th round he never really used it and it was open the last 8 rounds and we know cotto isn't one to say anything about being hurt
-
Re: If Pac Man and Mayweather fight, what weight should it be at.
147 for Pacmans WBO title although Floyd has never won the legitimate 140lb title so that really would be interesting to see as well. I really hope this fight can be made because there are alot of different scenarios to sell this fight.
-
Re: If Pac Man and Mayweather fight, what weight should it be at.
I saw the fight very differently. I predicted a win for Cotto and usually pick Manny, but what I saw last night was a decent start for Cotto and after the first knock down an uncompetitive fight that Manny just dominated. I realize Cotto was able to touch Manny, but he never had him in trouble and had to resort to running in order to survive.
Mayweather has incredible defense and very good offense. Manny has an incredible offense and a very good defense.
I see Pacquiao taking Mayweather by decision.
The fight needs to be at 147. No catchweights. Pacquiao doesn't need catchweights to win.

Re: If Pac Man and Mayweather fight, what weight should it be at.
We heard PACMAN in an interview........He said he wont climb up in weight anymore in his next fights. He said this after his victory vs.Cotto.
Meanwhile let us allow PACQUIAO,to celebrate Christmas.

Re: If Pac Man and Mayweather fight, what weight should it be at.
144 sounds fair to me, with a 1 million dollar per extra pound incensitive to make sure that Cocky Floyd won't use the same dirty rabbit as against Marquez.

he was hesitant to use his right cause that will leave him open for a KO.

Re: If Pac Man and Mayweather fight, what weight should it be at.
The problem with mayweather is you can only land one or maybe 2 punches at best before he moves and runs. Unless pac has the speed advantage, he ain't gonna win. He had a lot of trouble catching cotto when cotto decided to move a lot.

Re: If Pac Man and Mayweather fight, what weight should it be at.
I would love to say 140 or a catch weight to help Pac, but I gotta say it MUST be 147... And I know full well Pac's chances go down more and more with every pound over 140 pounds.. And I want Pac to win more than anything... And I give sooooooooooooooo slim of a chance of beating Floyd at any weight, and ESPECIALLY give him barely ANY chance at 147....
But with all that, this fight still has to happen at 147.....
Personally I think Mayweather should be fighting at 154 anyway.. He's got the skill to win even at 160 against 75% of the guys there,,, and that is the equivelant of Pac fighting at 147.... But whatever, Floyd has stayed at 147, and Pac needs to fight him there...
My heart will be beating out of it's f'n chest for 90% of that fight if it happens.. It was pumping for the first 3 rounds of Pac/Cotto... Just love the drama...
Anyway, my vote is for 147 even though for every reason I want Pac to win i'd like it to be at a lower weight..

Re: If Pac Man and Mayweather fight, what weight should it be at.
Man I'm not even gonna discuss the stipulations contract and weight any more whats the point? bias clearly comes into it! I just want these two to fight. leave the negotiations to Golden boy and top rank the fans are not going to make a difference.

Re: If Pac Man and Mayweather fight, what weight should it be at.
This is really a stupid question. All of these catchweights are just plain retarded. People are already using it as an excuse for cotto. Fans bitched about floyd fighting so called guys at 147 so make the fight there. Pac is welter champ so that's where it should be. That or 140. But the fight should be at one of the weight classes already established. Floyd aint gonna make nothing but welter anyway.
