Yeah saw this tonight. Although its sad news obviously I can't help but feel a little bit smug that I saw them live at V last Saturday on what could possibly be their last ever performance.
They were fucking awesome it has to be said.

I agree with you completely. I think Oasis have been a bit mediocre ever since Morning Glory. They've made some decent tracks since, but surprisingly it's been Liam coming up with the best of them in recent years. I quite like Noel, but Liam's attitude stinks on the whole. Must be a nightmare hanging about with him for any stretch of time.
Oasis have been a caricature for a while now, so a good time as any to get out. Liam would look quite ridiculous trying to pose at 50 like he does now. Pitiful in fact. ;D
The reason Noel left Oasis is that he couldn't work with his brother.

Who else did you see? The Killers started slowly (cos I didn't know any of their first 5or 6 tracks) but when they got to their hits they were great.
I also thought Pendulum were brilliant.

Oasis have consistently been the huge selling equivalent in the main music market (UK ;) ) in the 90s and 00s that the Beatles were in the 60s and 70s. As for the rolling stones....it's better to burn out than fade away.

Apparently they did great music but halas, it never did the trick for me, I respect their musical achievements as it is apparently very good but it seriously never did the trick for me and their cocky and arrogant attitude just turned me seriously down.
They lost my respect from what they have done during the last concert before the split...they just let down the fans who were waiting for them since hours...
I wish them to end to local pubs at bornemouth for the 3rd ages...
