Should be a decent fight. Mosley has taken a good year off following Margarito and Clottey just gave Cotto a tough little scrap.
I think Mosley outboxes Clottey for a decision, but that depends on where Mosley is at. He certainly isn't getting any younger.
That's a good scrap waiting to happen.
Well 2 sites are reporting that it's a done deal.
This will be a great fight, and a nice Christmas present for all of us. ;D

Great fight! I pick Shane by 10th round KO. He can crack anyones chin if they stay in front of him. Like you say Miles it depends if he still has enough but I think he does.

Don't see Mosley knocking him out, Clottey ain't no Margarito taking endless shots, he's got a pretty impressive defence. I think Mosley takes it by a close, possibly controversial, decision, but that's the difference between a great fighter & a very good one. I hope Clottey actually has done alright out of this financially, I've not been a fan of how Golden Boy have been lowballing prospective Mosley opponents, especially considering how Mosley is the one complaining how he doesn't fight for money but for legacy. Has soured me on one of my favourite fighters more than the whole BALCO scandal.
I think we should wait until we actually see a quote from Schaefer or Arum confirming it's done.

Mosley wins this by convincing decision. Mosley has about the biggest heart in the game and Clottey's heart gave concerning questions in the Cotto fight. If any welterweight can KO Clottey it would be Mosley. But I'm sure Clottey makes his way to a discouraging decision loss.

I wish the Berto fight would have come through rather than this. I mean it will be a good fight but, Mosley said he was holding out for bigger fights and I think Berto is a bigger fight than this. Doesn't really add anything to Mosley's resume. I'll definitely still watch it though
Ya, I think HBO wanted the Berto fight. Problem is, since the Pavlik-Williams fight is still a possibility, HBO didn't have the type of money available that Berto was looking for.Quote:

Good fight! tough call but I think Clottey has a reach disadvantage here even though he fights tall. The only thing for Mosley is he might get tired in the later rounds. I think Mosley has to stay busy so Clottey can't get off but pace himself so he doesn't run out of gas. Mosley by UD if it goes the distance, Clottey could get lucky in the later rounds and win by KO.
Well I see a very tough fight for Mosley. Clottey's style is all wrong for a guy like Mosley. Clottey has a great jab and a nice ghanan defense and some speed too. The last time Shane fought someone with a defense like that and a good jab he got beat. And that was a younger Mosley. Clottey is younger and stronger then Mosley at this point and I do think he has what it takes to win a decision.
Personally I like this fight more then the Berto fight. Berto is nowhere near ready to fight Mosley and would be smashed rather easily, I much rather like Mosley giving a guy with tough breaks but obviously skill like Clottey a shot rather then taking the easy fight with Berto
I go for Mosley by KO/TKO
I really hope this fight comes off, definitely a nice way to end the year for us fans.
Being a big fan of Clottey I really hope he capitalizes on this opportunity and wins this one. He's only gonna get so many title shots he needs to win one of these.
Mosley isn't getting any younger and its been awhile since the Margo fight. I'm saying Split decision win for Clottey.
I like this match-up! I think it will be a grueling fight but Mosley will do enough to take a decision.

You've got to hand it to shane for taking on tough competiton. Berto is a good fighter but i think clottey poses more of a threat for shane. This is a dangerous fight for shane's carer a loss at this point could ruin potential matchups with the winner of pacquiao cotto or marquez mayweather. I think clottey could pull the upset in this one but shane is a veteran and should never be counted out epecially after the way he looked in his last fight.
IF this fight happen I think Clottey has it, he really impressed me with his performance against Cotto, and if Cotto can't land effectively on him, I don't think MOsley who likes to load up will be able to. I think CLottey is the more effective of these two with straight punches.

I see Clottey winning by UD he'll block the majority of Shane's punches wiyth his tight guard and will come back with straight counters. Maragrito was psychologically beat before he got into the ring with Shane.
I think the style is bad for Mosely too and see Clottey winning a close decision.
I don't believe either guy can knock the other. I'm happy as hell this match got made though :) It's should be a great fight.
