Re: The Ultimate Fighter 10 Episode 1
that was a fucking disgusting cut. Nasty.
And LOL Rampage is a horrible coach. Hey, get up!
Re: The Ultimate Fighter 10 Episode 1
From reading interviews done by Rampage I knew he wouldn't be a great coach. He has mentioned several times how much he hates training and is pretty much just motivated by the money. That being said, it was a brilliant move putting him on the show. He will provide tremendous entertainment value. Did anyone else think the "beef" with him and Rashad seemed a bit over done?

Yep, the beef is overdone and now it would be great to see the both of them crossing the gloves in the cage together.
Re: The Ultimate Fighter 10 Episode 1
I'm not sure of the authenticity but there is a blog floating around from Rampage saying he was retiring. Looks like the whole show might be a build up to a fight that never happens.
Re: The Ultimate Fighter 10 Episode 1
haha well I'll admit it...I do like watching this stupid show. It's on right now. I watch this and the contender religiously. And the contender sucks balls. Stupid slowmo this and that. :embarassed:

Yeah, Rampge has announced his retirement, apparently its something to do with him playing B.A Baracus in the A-team movie, so we won't be seeing him fight Rashad anytime soon
Re: The Ultimate Fighter 10 Episode 1
Just finished watching the second episode, im quite shocked at the standard of the fighters, this is the best heavyweights around who are not in the major MMA corporations?? It so that is real bad. Also the big daft American Footballer was gassed after a minute of the first round i mean prior to the fight he gave it the whole this is my last chance I have given up everything blah blah blah speech. But obviously he hasnt been working hard at all, if i new i was going on a show which is worldwide exposure to my proffesion id work so fucking hard, this guy looks like he might of been working on his cardio on the ps3.
Im no expert on mma but from my point of view very very average fighters.
Re: The Ultimate Fighter 10 Episode 1
Just watched episode 2... you'd think, as a former professional athlete Shivers would have better conditioning. These were 2 average fighters, at one point they were standing a few feet apart with their hands on their hips! If that's the future of the UFC heavyweight division it doesn't look good
Re: The Ultimate Fighter 10 Episode 1
thanks for that. very interesting.
Re: The Ultimate Fighter 10 Episode 1
That was quite possibly the worst fight I have ever seen on TUF. I know that these guys are supposed to be amateurs trying to get their big break but damn. Both had horrible cardio and very poor skills. Hell the winner was Rashad's first pick. If Roy Nelson doesn't destroy everyone in this show I will be very suprised.

Yeah I've been quite surprised as well by the lack of cardio for their level and the fact that only one move has been used in the whole fight and it was the same used 3-4 times to get the guy on the ground.. same move everytime.
Re: The Ultimate Fighter 10 Episode 1
I can't stand this...the NFL players are really not that good (technically speaking)...is it really the "up and coming" amateurs in the US ? I think 8 out of 16 guys would puke it out should they follow the training I do..
being an Heavyweight (I'm myself at 250) is not an excuse for having no stamina....
Even though that through this show I start to appreciate Kimbo a LOT
Re: The Ultimate Fighter 10 Episode 1
bad thing for Kimbo, I really don't see how is he going to escape to Roy Nelson. I'm pretty sure Kimbo could have beaten most of the guys, but Roy is really a tough one.
despite his lack of stamina, he is black belt BJJ and is really good at submitting people, plus he knows how to bring people to the canvas...he was able to do it vs Arlowski, KImbo will also be put on the canvas IMO.
his only chance is to hard the guy as hard as he can on the chin during a sprawl or the clinch

Not the best around. They got picked for the show, more like American Idol. Supposed to be undiscovered talent for the most part. Agreed they looked terrible, but your statement is like saying the guys from the Contender show were the future of boxing.....
These are lower level fighters, usually from the quality of the experience the winner goes on to have a respectable career. 2 or 3 guys that finish well or just put on good fights will be around in the ufc.

Bit confused what you mean there??
The big daft American footballer had about zero talent and looked like he had never even fought before, it was so bad, id honestly say you could train most guys with the same physical attributes who had never fought before within 6months to take him out, i was sat there laughing it was that bad.
I dont expect them to be the next Fedor, but i expect them to have some sort of game.
Re: The Ultimate Fighter 10 Episode 1
The UFC seems to have changed their selection requirements. The first season had mostly good seasoned fighters looking to make the next step. Since then it seems to be more and more geared towards picking fighters with a "story" or personality to fit the reality part of the show.

YEah I agree there, this was a bit awful and disappointing to see, i don't see how these guys (or most of them) could have any chances at making the UFC. i am quite curious to see Kimbo vs Nelson this week though, I think Nelson pulls it out but it would be cool if it could be a tough and 'competitive' fight.
Re: The Ultimate Fighter 10 Episode 1
Looking forward to the Kimbo fight . Apparently the guy wh won last week has a confrontation with Rampage too.
Slice should beat this fatty with punches in standup like he did to Tank Abbot but if it goes past 1 minute then Kimbo gasses and he gets beat . Not only does he have bad stamina but he has no chin either so if he is to win he really needs to do it early . I hope he wins cuz the show will be boring without him now Rampage has retired.
