Marquez over Mayweather
I know everything is stacked against JMM and floyd just about sealed the win by coming in over the agreed catchweight. That also means floyd has no excuse once he loses.
My heart goes out to JMM, his facial expression when he saw floyd was 146 it was one of those dissapointing and frustrating look. Oscar and Bhop both were like "wtf" but they didnt say anything. I guess they rather have the fight go on then not.
If JMM shall lose I hope he doesn't get hurt cause this is a complete fucking handicap match. I really hope he wins and I would be the first to admit his p4p king if he does. Ive gone against JMM only because of the war he has with pac( whom is my fave active fighter ). I really hope he wins this one against floyd. I dont get how anybody can like a piece of shit like floyd and the rest of the retarded mayweathers.

Re: Marquez over Mayweather
You don't have to like the muthafukka to appreciate his skills. The fact that Mayweather is disliked does not make him a bad fighter. Only an idiot would think so

True that, I dont plan on having personal talk with him or Thanksgiving dinner, but I love to watch him fight

I have to say you make Pac fans look good by at least admitting that if somehow or someway JMM manages to pull off an upset that there will be a new p4p #1.

I have no problem admitting the two fights they had were both close. As a matter of fact they have one of the greatest rivalry ever. Ever since their second match, I think they've been trying to out due the other. Pac wins a lightweight belt, jmm conquers the whole division, pac conquers lightwelter division, now i hope jmm defeats former p4p king floyd.

Re: Marquez over Mayweather
After watching the weigh-in, I think Marquez will win via KO.
...I think :)

Good for you mate I agree, no question of his talent there from you; but his ethics obviously suck. Go Juan anyway I hope he gets extra energy from the world of well wishers.

Re: Marquez over Mayweather
Mayweather, Marquez weigh in | Fightnews - Boxing News Updated 24/7
Contractual weight was the 147 pound welter limit, but penalties were written into the contract for excess poundage over 144. ”The penalty [for Mayweather] was a significant amount of money,” said Golden Boy CEO Richard Schaefer.
How is mayweather a piece of shit? There was a stop gap deterrent of 144 built in to the contract they both agreed too.. Thats like me leasing a car making all the payments on time put 2000 extra miles on my car but paid the mileage penalty, but you called me a piece of shit upon return of the car even though I never made a late payment on the lease contract:rolleyes:

Serious ?I just dont see it unless Mayweather has a grey matter meltdown.Floyds a spouting twat but will not put himself in a position to get hit more than once.Thinking Marquez edges him in a shocker.

Yup, he'll be p4p #1 right until Pacquiao beats him for a 3rd time.

Re: Marquez over Mayweather
Marquez win or lose has already won over many more fans because he step into the ring as a warrior!
Marquez wins, and we'll see his popularity not only in Mexico take a exponential leap but in the whole boxing world.

I think at this point he is more than half way there given the exposure this promotion has given him. A JMM win makes him undoubtedly #1 and a win in a 3rd Pac bout relegates him to the best Mexican fighter of alltime

Re: Marquez over Mayweather
Glad to see you all are lathered up in that Marquez butter. Keep believing that a 36 year old, slower lightweight who can't help but start slow can beat an elite, fast, accurate welterweight in his own weight class by fighting the same way he does for the very first time.
Marquez is a first ballot hall-of-famer, but how high does the guy have to move up before reality checks in? Hey, up next, JMM takes on Wladimir Klitschko.

again its comment like that, deigrates such a great tactical fighter and counterpuncher. Look at Marquez fight he is an absolute masterclass of brilliance and adaptability.. You know why guys like Floyd, JMM, Pac move up?
Because thats were the big boys play, when you fight below Welter its like walking down the street on a cold snowy day hungry and freezing, stopping only to brush away the frost on a store front window and gaze in at the warm glow of everyone sitting down for a hot meal and a goodtime.
Fame Money and notierity resides in this Golden Era of 140's Juan wants his piece of the pie and is willing to take an unknown risk like everyother before him. He is a great fighter and very capable of pulling off a win

Good post.
I've been picking Mayweather since Day 1 but I think those people who give Marquez little-to-no chance are underrating how great a fighter he is.

I'm not sure if it because of what Mayweather has done in the weight-in thing, his mouth or jf its Marquez's unabated fortitude, that makes me hope that father time doesn't catch up with Marquez. He's fought his way into the Roberto Duran aweness territory for me.

Re: Marquez over Mayweather
My official prediction. Fight starts slow with Mayweather winning the early rounds. Around round 6 Marquez picks up steam becomes smarter and adapts win a split descion victory.........I think.:-\

Re: Marquez over Mayweather
All the politics aside this fight is gonna be mega, cant wait. Pizza's ordered just gonna sit back and relax. Fan of both of them and wouldnt mind either one of them winning but if i had to choose i would want Mayweather to win simply due to the fact of a possible Pac vs Mayweather maga fight. No disrepect to marques but hes had 2 shots allready and we can see what kind of fight the third would be and considering how much better pac is now it would almost be a certainty win for pac.
All i can say is, i hope its competive!!

Re: Marquez over Mayweather
I'm interested to see if Floyd is weight drained at all since he couldn't make the catchweight. I think JMM has the advantage in regards to how easy he made weight.

I don't think PBF will be weight-drained at all. It seems like a bit of shred (I guess) calculation on his part to give himself an advantage. If he'd tried to make weight a second time I would be more inclined to believe he could be drained.

Agreed,I believe he could of made the 144 weight off 2 year layoff. He simply was not required to.

I don't think I degraded Marquez at all. Did I not call him a first ballot hall-of-famer? I just saw the situation for what it was- Marquez was too small and slow to compete and he willingly takes too many shots. That's three strikes when you fight a p4p fighter still in his prime at a foreign weight class.
