he presents a style PBF has NEVER faced before. that's a combination of speed and actual fighting skills. a prime Mosley would've presented the same challenge but he's faded now.
anyway, i'm certain that Pacquiao will beat Cotto. Pac-Mayweather is certain to happen if that's the case.
Pacquiao's moving up in weight has been totally different then JMM's. Pacquiao's speed is still there and he actually enhanced his power. Although he was fighting a top fighter JMM seemed to be sluggish with no fire in his eyes. If Pacquiao beats Cotto (which I believe he will) then it will be a totally different story between Manny and Floyd!
I like pac but i think he's going to have a lot of trouble with cotto if cotto matches pac's speed.
pac can beat cotto if he can absorb the punches of cotto.... pac must be more defensive...
I hear Godzilla want to fight him next. I think he has no chance againt pac, what do you think?

I don't write off Pacquiao as having no chance against PBF but he has little chance. Any one shot can end or change any fight. But Pac has never fought a slick pure boxer and in PBF he will be facing THE slick pure boxer. I actually think he will lose against Cotto so I don't want to speculate on a PBF fight while there is a big pink elephant in the room named Cotto.
pac will beat cotto
cotto will suffer the same problems hatton had in that he simply wont be able to deal with a guy who appears to be a natural 140+ pounder but yet is still able to trade punches like a 126/130 pounder. It wont be as clinical but it`ll still result in a stoppage.
mayweathers a whole different kettle of fish though. Pacs prime rib for floyd. Manny for all his great footwork does like to fight in straight lines and floyd will expose any defensive frailtys far more effectively than your Hoyas or hattons of this world
Let's not jump to the conclusion that Miguel Cotto suffers from the same defensive problems as Ricky Hatton. Miguel Cotto is a very good boxer, he has the ability to box and do it well, and the only time he has lost was vs a guy who #1 Had illegal handwraps and #2 Was a gigantic welterweight. If Cotto makes Manny FIGHT then I'm not so certain Pacquiao is going to enjoy that fight because Cotto does damage

Pacquiao won't be able to hit Mayweather. That's the problem. But, as stated above, any one shot can end a fight. With Cotto, the problem of size won't be as apparent because Cotto can be hit and Pacquiao has power. I can't see Manny being able to cover the distance without getting jabbed. He has head movement but only when he slows his footspeed. He doesn't have prime Tyson style head movement where he can move his head while coming in at full speed. Manny uses it to get into range and feint before throwing but Floyd will just step back. Eventually Manny will start lunging. I don't see Manny getting knocked down by a left hook early like Marquez did becuase he keeps his right hand up high during the early rounds but just like Marquez he will eventually go to parry a left jab that doesn't come and get hit with the left hook. The only other advantage Manny has is that the left hook is a punch he's been training to avoid in his last two and next fight but Floyd's isn't a liver shot and is the fastest and most accurate he's ever faced. But I think if Manny can somehow get close enough, often enough, flurry enough and can get out he has a chance. He has the combination handspeed, stamina and style but I don't think the ability to get into and stay in range. Plus he isn't a dirty fighter and won't hit Floyd low, his hips or kidneys.

plz tell me you didn't just compare Cotto to Hatton, there is no similarities in between the two, Hatton is a one dimensional brawler who just moves forward and well always goes into the fight with one gameplan, Cotto is superior in ever aspect, a better technician, has better timing, a natural counter puncher (watch his earlier fights, and certain rounds as of late), he doesn't plod forward and expect you to crumble like Hatton did, on top of that he's far bigger and stronger than Hatton, Cotto will time Pacquiao, back him up to the ropes, and IMO stop Pacquiao before the 8thQuote:

neither pac or marquez should be written off. I just don't want to waste another fifty bucks watching floyd fight someone that has no chance of beating him. At the very least fight two or three of these guys at a time is costing to much one at a time. It's asking a lot for any regular welter to beat him, these guys moving up and all around weight classes just to fight him is getting out of hand.
If pac beats both cotto and mayweather, i'll set up a shrine in my house and worship him as god. just kidding.
Shane is the only one that has a decent chance of beating Floyd, Pac would get a one sided beat down just like Marquez, maybe even stopped.
