Thats 32 pounds more than last time , wow..

Re: Tyson Fury weighs in at 279
Fury probably figured out he isnt a world class fighter and will get knocked out as soon as he steps up so why put all of the time in effort into staying in shape......

What a shame he can't be arsed to keep in shape, I'm not exited about him any more specially after his last fight too.

at the very least he is willing to fight on a fortnightly basis if need be
think tyson has thought more times in the past 3months than the entire 3 olympians have fought all together!!

Re: Tyson Fury weighs in at 279
They're spending their time in the gym, learning and getting ready to fight and develop.
He's Slobbing about and fighting a bum every other week.

Spot on Jaz. I've said that about Fury since day one. I know people learn as they go along, but, I believe in the "Start as you mean you to on". And he hasn't been in shape since day one. When he is at his youngest and least likely to keep the weight on and least likely to find it difficult to shift off he still can't get in shape. Its only gonna get in the way every time he gets down the stretch so he needs to sort it. Same as Arreola in a way. Cris will come out guns blazing for 3 - 6 rounds tomorrow as he prob knows thats all he's got.....
-
Re: Tyson Fury weighs in at 279
Thing for him will be motivation now that he's had a taste of the headline slot. It's nothing but a glorified spar, and hopefully complacency doesn't seep into his attitude on fight night as it seems to have done in his preparation.
He'll be carrying 60lbs on this guy, and around six or seven inches taller, but Mrazek did have Mike Holden on the floor and scuppered that comeback, so shoudln't be taken too lightly.

Re: Tyson Fury weighs in at 279

He is a fat cunt haha, but I dont no where the thread starter got his info from deffo weighed in at 261 not 279.
Bernard Dunne 121.5 vs Poonsawt Kratingdaenggym 122
(WBA super bantamweight championship)
Tyson Fury 261 vs Tomas Mrazek 222.5
Jamie Power 177.5 vs Michael Sweeney 178.8
Patrick Hyland 126 vs Manuel Sequera 130
Stephen Haughian 149.5 vs Albert Starikov 151.5
Oisin Fagan 140.5 vs Juris Ivanovs 142
Anthony Fitzgerald 163.5 vs Tadas Jonkus 159.5
Venue: The O2, Dublin
Promoter: Brian Peters Promotions
To be honest I just do see the point in him dropping back to this level so soon after the Mcdermott fight to knock him out in probably 1 or 2 rounds, he should be in the gym getting better improving his fitness and skills.

Sounds like there was a kebab shop very near to where he was on holiday....that kind of thing can do a lot of pound damage in a couple of weeks!

Still at his age he should be going down in weight not up. I think he should ring up the Kilts and ask if he can just follow them around at training haha! U dont see those guys coming in out of shape and they know how to use their size!

didnt tyson fury manage to punch himself in the face once?
thats about all i know about him

Re: Tyson Fury weighs in at 279
Fury was on Talksport this week saying how 'pleased' he was that the McDermott fight was being forced to a re-match. He said 'I'm pleased because now I can knock him out!'
Alright then Tyson:rolleyes:
I'm a Manc and would like nothing more than a local good heavy make his mark on the world scene!
Fury however is (as far as I have seen of him) all hype and very little substance! As somebody else said earlier, go follow the Klitsch's for a while and see what it means to be in shape!
Calling McDermott a 'McMuffin' was a little like the pot calling the kettle!
Still very young and already twice as much fat on him as the guys at the top of his game (I take it you do want to fight the Klits et al Tyson!??)
He should keep his trap shut, stay off SSN and radio shows, ask Boxing News NOT to put him on the cover and concentrate on getting fight fit!
Having said that however, he will have 6!! fights before the McDermott rematch and McDermott ducked him for a spot on the Froch undercard!

He has a fight every other week for the next 2 months mate.
Hence him being perplexed at McDermott (who has no fights) ducking him on Froch undercard with 6 weeks notice
EDIT: I'm wrong, he has a fight a week for the next 3 weeks!!!

Re: Tyson Fury weighs in at 279
I think Tyson is getting a lot of stick he is 21 and this will be his 9th fight in 9 month he has fought for and won the english title over 10 rounds at quite a fast pace against John McDermott who some think to have beaten Danny Williams twice back to back or a very close defeat. yes at times he looked rubbish against Mcdermott but sometimes looked very good he is young and eager i still like him just hope he performs well in the rematch he just needs to get in and stay in shape. yet look at Danny Williams up and down in weight getting stick from all angles yet he beat Mike Tyson and got a shot against Klitschko for the WBC title going 8 rounds.
-
Re: Tyson Fury weighs in at 279
He goes on about been the next big thing in boxing i think he will be the next big thing to hit the canvas. He carnt even be arsed to stay in shape just happy to pad out his record fighter bums.

I am new to this forum so don't know what can and can't be said so I will leave it at...
Please!!!!?:rolleyes: Could Williams have handled Tyson in his pomp? Could he fu*k!!
The best point you made in that post was 'he just needs to get in and stay in shape'
That is his problem!! At 21 was Williams toned?
Yes
At 21 did Williams have a bang on him?
Yes
Can the same be said of Tyson Fury?
IMO No!

Spot on! Haye mk2
Lets see if he can go half as far as motormouth before we talk about him being a decent prospect!
He has fought nobody! Was taught a tough lesson by McDermott, I think he will win the rematch but for him to go on national radio and say he is happy for a rematch as he 'had an off-night' and he will ko him next time is just stupid (Haye must be his advisor)
I want him to do well, but I have never taken to mouthy fighters who cant cash the cheques their gob is spending

I'm not so interested in this Fury chap after that last fight. He has a cracking name, but seems like a bit of a labourer.

I know it was a faded Tyson im a massive Tyson fan hence my user name but the fact were Williams has been out of shape years yet got to a world title shot and punch power has nothing to do with it.

Re: Tyson Fury weighs in at 279
Probably a redundant question these days but is there any chance of watching this fight if you live in England?
-
Re: Tyson Fury weighs in at 279
Doubt it its a world title fight as top of the bill;D
-
Re: Tyson Fury weighs in at 279

Re: Tyson Fury weighs in at 279
I just figure with as much shit as he talks somebody had better call him out on it and the Klitschko's being ESL they aren't as good at as I am.
I probably should have made a reference to Steve Bunce, but even then I am sure everyone is equally as tired of that.
-
Re: Tyson Fury weighs in at 279
That is the problem with the heavyweight division - NOBODY is in shape!
The only people in shape are the Klit's and surprise surprise, they have a monopoly on the division.
Haye is in shape but has the dodgy chin that nothing can be done about.
They don't build champs like Norton, Ali, Liston, Tyson, Lewis etc anymore.
-
Re: Tyson Fury weighs in at 279
I agree Al, it's a sad state of affairs when fighters in what's supposed to be the most exciting division are so out of shape. It's bad for these guys' careers and more importantly it's bad for the sport
