Lyle whats going on with your so called mighty reds??

Big game Sunday, you need a big performance, sqaud has been utter shit this season.

Now i know me and you dont agree on Robbie Keane but lets go back a few months when Keane was there ok he wasnt playing much but you were top of the league, lets forward 10 months and your on the verge of going out of the CL and your currently mid table with 4 defeats. Rafa has sold three strikers Bellamy,Crouch and Keane and has never replaced them Ngog is utter shite Kuyt couldnt score in a brothel. Not looking good mate I think a CL place at best for you this season.

From are point of view im so happy we have played average all season apart from 2/3 games and we have had the best start to a season in 11 years and are top of the league. HAPPY DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In truth apart from the cl win in 05 Rafa has been shit, like i have said before you blew the best chance you will and did have in years to win the league last year, Liverpool have bought so much shite over rafa's reign it's quite scary.

Rafa is a big tinkerer, he can't ever just go with what works for the entire season. Beyond that he can't seem to plan around missing a player or plan around giving someone like Gerrard a rest.

Simple strategy when we played Sunderland minus Gerrard and Torres, Rafa decided to use a totally new formation we had never used this season....I would have just used the same old 4-4-2 we've always used and just replaced Gerrard with Benayoun who has actually played up to snuff this season and replaced Torres with Voronin....sure nobody likes Voronin but he can control the ball and he gets scoring chances and even if HE doesn't put them away a chance is better than nothing.

This truly is a lost season, it's very disappointing and they will need to add talent in heaps next transfer period. Had Johnson and Benayoun not performed I'm not so sure we wouldn't be a bottom of the table side

liverpool are basically outta champs league, there only chance is league cup or FA cup

...if we finish top 4 this season I'd call it a success. We've had injury issues all season and to lose Alonso and Arbeloa and have to replace them successfully was a tough task. Rafa still shouldn't tinker as much as he has though.

Torres, Gerrard, Riera, Skrtel have all been injured this season and Aquilani hasn't even played yet.

Right now Johnson, Benayoun, Kuyt and dare I say Lucas have played above and beyond their previous levels.

I just WISH we could put this lineup out there for the rest of the season

You played well today Benayoun owned Evra and was motm imo not Torres, but Torres is just pure class give him a sniff and he punishes you.


I honestly feel were two players short a top goalscorer and a play making midfielder, we have been average all season like I said previsouly, but everyone else have been pretty average aswell.

Id love for Fergie to buy Modric and Villa in January that would give us a great boost.

to be honest i didnt think we would win the last 3 seasons, i picked chelsea again this season so i hope its the same again:)

Quality result and a decent enough showing. If we can kickstart a decent run, we will be right back in it.

If Man U had Ronaldo they probably would have converted on one of those free kicks.

Drago, I know the Reds have solid depth it's just Rafa won't fit guys into the formation that works best for us he moves 1 player in and it changes everything...vs Sunderland we had NOBODY in the middle of the field.

Still, beating United 2-0 without Magic Gerrard, that is impressive. I have faith (just a bit though) for the remaining of the season.

A bit off topic but how the fuck could Real Madrid lose 4-0 to a third division Spanish team? 4-0? Really? ;D Apparently they didn't play Kaka or Ronaldo but they still had Raul, Benzema, Van der Vaart, Diarra, etc.

GOOD NEWS! Aquilani is finally going to play!!!!

I wouldn't count out Liverpool yet, the season is still very young and all it takes is a decent run and a few others faltering a little and we are right back in it. Too many losses so far, but no draws. We aren't that far behind.

This team isn't much different than the team last year that made that great run of victories. If Aquilani can show good form soon then we'll be a very dangerous team.

My only question is where is Aquilani going to play? Anywhere he plays he'll be replacing someone who for the most part is playing well where they are.

I think (or hope) they'll drop Gerrard into the middle with Mascherano and let Aquillani float and maybe see how that works?

Cant really see Aquillani playing wide ???

The most horrific of the chaebol corporations having their wicked way with the sleaziest of teams. I suppose they go together quite well.

They should have just started Babel at midfield and played Voronin and Kuyt up front. Torres isn't any help if he's hurt.

We've just got to focus on making top 4...it's still very likely this season because of the parody in the league. And then hopefully Robert Kraft buys the team and then gets a couple solid players to sure up our side.

As I have said Benitez is shite, he has bought some awful players. Just look at what the other top clubs have when it comes to match winners/Offensive players then look at Liverpool.

There Lies the problem Voronin is in my book the worst striker in the premiership when your backup is Ngog and Voronin I think it's safe to say your not going to win an awful lot of silverware.
