Great list
WOLVERINES!! - didn't realize until I saw Red Dawn again recently how many ricochet sounds from bullets bouncing off the grass there were.
The 80s were great for movies.
Blade Runner <--
The Dark Crystal
Goonies
Blue Thunder
Tron

Commando.
Red Dawn is awesome in that terrible 80's action movie way. I like that most of the main characters die.

Re: Your best films form the 80s!
I was also born in 1981 so had a tonne of movies that I loved.. Not 100% sure if they were made in the 80's, but they were certainly a big part of my childhood...
Total Recall
Indiana Jones series
Basic Instinct
Bloodsport
Kickboxer (one of my fav's of all time)
Rocky's
Mad Max
The running man
Rambo's
Young Guns & Young Guns 2
The Lost Boys
Field of Dreams
Weird Science!!! Who the hell didn't love that!
Honey I shrunk the kids
Weekend at Burnies
Home Alone
Cannonball Run
If Looks Could Kill
Rainman
Aliens 3
PREDATOR!!! F'n LOVED THAT MOVIE!!! Still do! an absolute masterpiece of movie making... Want them to do a new predator that is a bit of a remake of that original.. Gritty jungle soliders, old school weapons.. The mystery put back into the predator as he picks people off invisibly.. Killing in growingly gruesom and terrifying ways.... Fear growing amongst the soldiers... F'n kick ass!
They are some of my favourites... I'm sure more will come to me..

Re: Your best films form the 80s!
The Untouchables definitely. Was The Shining from the early 80's or the 70's? If the 80s then definitely. Scarface, Full Metal Jacket, Platoon, uhhhhh that's really all I can think of as far as movies that rank as my favorites of all time.

Re: Your best films form the 80s!
Robocop!! That was pretty bad ass, although now it is pretty terrible...
War Games
Beverly Hills Cop
The Golden Child (Loved that)
Coming to America
Stand By Me
Revenge of the Nerds
The Gods must be Crazy (hahaha)
And there is one that I can vaguely remember but can't think of the name of it...
It's about this kid who lives in a trailer park, and there is this video game there that is called star commander or something, and he plays it and clocks it, then this space ship arrives telling him that it was a training simulator and is swept off into space to fight in some galactic war... That was coooool!
Man I watched soooooooooooo much tv as a kid..
and i'm going to finish off with this one as I could go on forever.
Ferris Buellers day off !

I can't believe I forgot that movie, very good pick. Also, Arthur was a really good movie. Arthur Bach is right there with Buttermaker as the best movie drunk of all time, Arthur takes it for me.
