I will create a league if there is interest.
I know Van is interested hence I'm starting the thread. I would assume Amat, and maybe VD might play. I would think we would need 8 or ten people, at least 6.
Let me know. Season starts tomorrow but I saw some leagues having drafts later than that so maybe we could just start next week.

If we only have four it'd be a bit ridiculous, everyone would have an all star team so I've sent out pm's to RP33, Nameless and Jaz. Anyone else interested can play. Just let me know on here or in a PM.

When would you people want to do the draft? Theoretically if we got enough members to sign up today we could do it today and get the league started before tip off. That is if we get enough people and people can find the time to do a draft today, although there's always auto pick.
I'm cool to do it, but I can't really do the draft till late today unless it is has some autodraft function.

Jaz, the draft is exactly like the football one, same program pre ranked players, all that.

the standard is rotisserie scoring so I'd go with that unless a lot of people don't like it.

All right I created an 8 and 10 team league, once I figure out how many people we have I'll choose one and invite everyone. We could either have the draft tonight, or Thursday or any day after that, there are no times available tomorrow for whatever reason.
I guess since we have 7 if we don't get anybody else we could just do an 8 man league and have a computer team, that would be ok, I just didn't want it to be like 4 human players and 4 computer players, one wouldn't be the end of the world.

Sorry Ouma.. I don't know anything about basketball. I watched the Harlem Globetrotters at the Docklands arena about 17 years ago. I thought they were impressive. That's all I know about basketball. It's a pro sport? cool

I've invited Amat, Nameless, Jaz, and Pugilistic. You should be able to go to the league page and rank players, whatever you want to do. It has a very creative name :shakehead:
Looks like maybe we won't do the draft today as I just haven't heard anything from Amat, Van or VD. Thursday is the next best option if we can't get it going tonight.
Just wondering, who really wants to draft live and who could deal with just doing an auto draft? And if you really want to draft live what would be a good time? Its probably going to be Thursday as I still haven't heard from a few people.
For those that want to draft live would Thursday 7 PM Eastern time be a problem? We have to set it at some point. Oh and everybody but Van should have an invite, let me know if you haven't gotten one for some reason.
That's fine like I told you I'm autodrafting regardless I have work in 10 minutes and tomorrow I'll be gone all day and same goes for Friday so yeah. Oh and the scoring is weekly unless there has been a shakeup from last season. And early fantasy in the NBA is always so screwy because most NBA teams don't bother to play defense this early in the season. Randolph has a lot expected of him here going into this season, he's going from "Laziest rookie ever" to "hardest worker on the team" and those are Don Nelson's words. BTW I LOOOOVE being a Warriors fan. Don Nelson has invaded this team he's the coach who only coaches when he wants to. He routinely left games in the 4th quarter last year and was hardly ever vocal at the end of they year, just kind of let the team do whatever. Chris Mullen was the GM but Nelson didn't care for him much so Nelson's players (namely Stephen Jackson) went over Mullen's head when negotiating the contract. Mullen traded Harrington almost specifically just to show that uh, I'm still here guys. It's nuts. Mullen gets fired and who is hired but Don Nelson's best friend, Larry Riley. Now all the sudden everything is his way, Nelson is putting crazy hours into coaching again. This has all been covered extensively in the Chronicle over the past month or so. I don't know if it will result in a winning team but essentially every player in the locker room is playing with a chip on their shoulder. It should be a fun team to watch and we have a very easy schedule to start out we should win 6 or 7 of our first 10 games and then it could all turn around.
As for Randolph, there's going to be a lot of spreading the ball in this offense I don't think the points are going to come quite like some are predicting but he does have a lot of potential as a consistent double-double type guy imo.

I don't know nothing about basketball but let's give it a go for the fun of it.
BTW its not just points, there are categories for points, rebounds, blocks, assists, steals, three pointers made, field goal percentage and free throw percentage and as far as I know they all count equally although I could be wrong about that. So you kind of have to have a balanced team. Anyway with all these auto drafts there should be some trades. Not sure why I feel the need to give out advice. Draft 13 guys who can just rebound if it makes you feel better. Jaz called dibs on Luol Deng which has RUINED my draft strategy.
hahaha damn Jaz. I liked Luol in college though which is rare for me to like a Duke guy when he's actually in college.

you've got a pretty good team. You can check how your teams doing by hitting standings and then there at the bottom it will have how you're doing in each categories and that will help you assess what you've got. Say you're not making many 3 point shots, well you have J.R. Smith on your bench who's a good 3 pt shooter. Plus there's live scoring on your my team link.
Amat-I was under the impression that rotisserie was the most common scoring system? Maybe I'm wrong.
I need if anything maybe more assists but I'm pretty happy with my team.

Man I thought Deng was gonna be a star for a while there, he's pretty good but he looked really good a couple years ago.
Its not like you don't have any good players though. Bosh and Dirk are top ten-twelve players.
