Re: David Haye tells Jim Watt how he really feels about him haha!!
David Haye needs to look at his perfomance and do a little reflecting. He bored the world to tears with that carry on. Oh, but I am champion fuck all the haters! Classy guy. A lot of people think he lost, personally I need to watch it in full to make my own firm conclusionshaving missed the start.
I was hoping he would win, but towards the end of watching it, I really couldn't give a shit whether he had won or not. That's how boring it all was. At least Valuev was trying to make something happen. Haye just wouldn't engage.
There are too many boxers who would be better served in ballet than boxing and on that showing Haye has become another. I wouldn't mind seeing a Klitschko fight next, preferably Vitali. Try and run from him!

Re: David Haye tells Jim Watt how he really feels about him haha!!
Is that David's real account? If so, he really knows how to celebrate!
Win the world championship, then find the nearest internet connection so you can log on to Facebook and tell all your friends.

Those people need their eyes checked. Perhaps they didn't watch the fight, or are just full of themselves.
BTW - if Haye didn't exchange punches, how did he manage to land more.. I mean, almost all of the punches that were landed by anyone during the fight?

I thought Chagaev did a much better job than Haye, showing that you can actually take the risk of throwing punches against Valuev.
I'm not saying Haye didn't outland Valuev, but that it was a mediocre performance and a very boring fight. Going on that performance, I think he has little chance against either of the Klitschko brothers.

Re: David Haye tells Jim Watt how he really feels about him haha!!
I reckon that quote comes from Lefty using his alternate Facebook logon;D

Re: David Haye tells Jim Watt how he really feels about him haha!!
Actually, how do we know this was really David Haye?
-
Re: David Haye tells Jim Watt how he really feels about him haha!!
Not a chance of it being the real Haye, there are dozens of David hayes on Facebook and quite a few with pictures of the "real" Haye. I doubt he would get involved in this at any time least of all right after a fight.
or maybe Jim Watt really is that important to him!!

Re: David Haye tells Jim Watt how he really feels about him haha!!
Just to clear this up!
That is not Davids facebook account

Re: David Haye tells Jim Watt how he really feels about him haha!!
You can get on facebook via a cell phone much like you can twitter, so David wouldnt have to much to post that lol

Re: David Haye tells Jim Watt how he really feels about him haha!!
Jim Watt was a total joke.
All week he predicted Valuev and all week basically said Haye is too thick to do anything other than try and blast Valuev out.
He seemed to be on Haye's case for doing the opposite of what he predicted. Scoring rounds to Valuev for plodding forward hitting nothing.

Is it time for SKY TV to ditch Jim Watt?
I have lost count of the number of fights he has spoilt for me.
Even back when he was with ITV he has talking bullshit back then as well.
I think he is good in the studio but when he calls a fight live he just repeats himself and sounds live a grumpy old man.
Bring back Glen!

Re: Is it time for SKY TV to ditch Jim Watt?
he's terrible. I spend half the fight trying to ignore him, the other half arguing with the telly. :-\

Re: David Haye tells Jim Watt how he really feels about him haha!!
Never heard of this Watt person before, but what an absolute tool he is. Sure this fight was boring (just watched it again and stayed awake!! ty coffee!!!!!), but that scorecard of his was a joke. Talk about your perfect example of what is wrong with boxing. Some idiot with an agenda trying to manipulate the scoring perception because of it.
:beat:

Re: Is it time for SKY TV to ditch Jim Watt?
I heard Sky had Valuev winning. They definitely dropped a bollock on that one. :)

:beat:
Jim Watt was lightweight champion of the world and lost his title to Alexis Arguello, he also lost to Buchanan.

Watt gave Valuev something ridiculous like a 5 round streak.

Re: Is it time for SKY TV to ditch Jim Watt?
Im not sure if it Jim or Sky because ive noticed in some fights like McDermott vs Fury he only commented on what John was doing most of the time then Rhodes vs Moore he was constantly going on about Moore Rhodes would get 4 punches off and no comment then Moore would land one and it would be great Jab from Moore. Seems like he is always backing the sky fighter or his favourite fighter im not sure but then at end he goes full circle and is great fight from Rhodes fought the right tactics and so on the guy is a turd i say get Jim in the studio and Jonny Nelson ringside

Bit Off Topic, but does Ian Darke and Adam Smith sound like the same person or is it just me? ;D

They do. I actually called him Adam Dark at one point. It's very confusing,

Re: David Haye tells Jim Watt how he really feels about him haha!!
First things first, i havent seen the fight and going by what some of you say, jim watt called it wrong. But i will say that out of the lot of those guys on sky, piper, nelson, mcCrory, mcGuigan and whoever else, Watt is by far the most knowledgable over the years. Them other guys, although champions at some stage, seem to me to know as much about calling a fight as you or i. I wouldnt listen to half of what they say as being a decent boxer in your day doesnt necessarily make you a great judge. I've no great love for Watt as i still remember, as a kid, his blatant headbutt against Sean o Grady in his world title defence. About 12years back, i bumped into Watt and Reg Gutteridge going to the Ulster hall for a fight and had a good yarn with Gutteridge on the walk round to the Hall. Before i left them i asked Watt if his headbutt was intentional and his exact reply was; "Well what the f**k would you do in my position?". Ha! At least he was honest.

Re: David Haye tells Jim Watt how he really feels about him haha!!
Jim Watt should be sacked... He's such a whiney kunt
I mean, i expected it from him but he still managed to wind me up!!!

Adam smith is a balloonhead. Its like he is reading ,or has just read, any stats or info. He doesnt seem to know anything about boxing and gives me the impression hes just an ordinary journalist who happened to fall into boxing.Just watch his face when he interviews people.

I was shouting the same thing at the TV last night. Thank god Ian Darke was using his common sense and basically saying "well, I have Haye ahead". Just heard the radio 5 live commentary and the end was something like this. "Oh and Haye rocks the giant with 45 seconds remaining in the fight, he is going for the grandstand finish. And the fight is over and surely Haye has done enough, Valuev just shakes his head, he knows he's lost".
That is more like the way I saw things, Watt couldn't handle the fact Haye didn't go out there in a blaze of glory trying to blast out someone who had never "officially" been down. Also Johnny Nelson showed he knew Haye's plan better than most, he said before the fight "I think Haye will go out and box a smart fight and win a decision" and I think Dave Clarke said "but what about his KO prediction" to which Nelson replied "I said the same about Carl Thompson, but I never really had it in my mind to KO him". Nelson to me is the only ex-boxer on Sky who talks sense, Watt is always a dick who makes shit up if his predictions don't come true, McCrory makes out he only lost to Lennox because he was only a Cruiserweight? Well in those days Cruiser was 190lbs and he never hardly made it and even when he did get down there he got beaten off rubbish fighters so the beating off Lennox was inevitable. He seems jealous of Haye's success at both Cruiser and HW. And finally Piper was a bit like Watt, he said Haye didn't have the stamina to hit and run for 12 rounds, then after the fight he said "i'm still not convinced of the stamina"?? WTF??
Sky need a change of personell IMO. Keep Nelson and and Ian Darke but the other 3 especially Watt and Piper, are that far up their own arses they won't admit "I was wrong".

Re: David Haye tells Jim Watt how he really feels about him haha!!
Jim Watt and Barry McGuigan have always been the 2 worst scorers of fights imo. I never see any fight anything like either of them. How Jimm Watt gets work as a commentator is beyond me

Re: David Haye tells Jim Watt how he really feels about him haha!!
Watt is a nice guy to speak to and he always has time for a chat with fans to be fair to him.
I just wanted to make that clear to anybody who does not know him.

He seems to be quite different since leaving ITV and sometimes appears to be singing off some one else's hymn sheet. I wonder at times if he has been set up as the protagonist just to wind us up.
Met him a couple of times over the years and he is indeed a nice guy with time for the fans.
Also I believe there should be no racial comments here you SSP;D

Watt did in fact say after the fight he didn't think he was ever so glad to say he was wrong and that he was delighted for Haye. A lot of people presume that a person doesn't like another because of a fight prediction, howver Watt says he thinks Haye is a nice guy etc, he just had a difference of opinion about the outcome of this fight.
I think the stamina comment is probably based more on how Haye will cope in a 12 round situation where he has to be moving and throwing a lot of punches. He certainly moved cleverly in this fight and threw enough to win but it was hardly a barn burner of a fight, so in some ways stamina may still be an issue.

Re: David Haye tells Jim Watt how he really feels about him haha!!
jamiebhoy, your wrong.
Watt reiterated his point on thinking that Haye LOST.
