I think Kessler might stop him!
I think that Kessler will turn the son of God to its father quite badly.
I really hope Kessler wins.
Problem is,
he's gonna need a KO to get a draw in Ward's backyard.

I think the fact that Ward is a southpaw alone will give Kessler trouble, I can see ward moving alot in the first few rounds then as kessler gets gets some rythm and range it will get interesting, about the 4th, I see a decent scrap with Kessler taking it on points.
I think Kessler struggles to dominate southpaws but Ward is yet to fight a top ranked super middle.
I dont think he has the power to make Kessler think or the activity to outwork him but he does have that awkward stance that can Make Kessler miss and look poor.
It depends on how much confidence Calzaghe took out of him.

Kessler should dominate Ward. Ward had a little trouble with Edison Miranda, Kessler is going to blast Andre, and I hate it for him.
I'm a Kessler fan, but I like Ward in this one. Because I'm not totally sure, I'm reserving the option to take back that vote next week though.
Kessler by decision or TKO. Kessler is the man to beat in this tournament.
Easily Kessler by TKO. Ward will give him fits but Kessler is just the complete package. Anything I think Ward will do in the fight Kessler will adapt and knock this joker the f**k out.

To my knowledge Ward is an orthodox but yes he can box southpaw as well. Yes Ward can give Kessler a lot of trouble, being the second best fighter of the tournament after Mikkel IMO, but in the end I think Kessler will triumphs.Quote:

Kessler by stoppage in the 10th. I think he's got just that bit too much for Ward, particularly with regards to power.

Can't believe they're having the cheek to charge, neither are british fights and we just got to see 2 superstars for free on Sky Sports. Mind you atleast primetime are giving us the chance to see it. Kessler has not met any particulaly good boxers since Calzaghe which makes me a bit nervous, but the loss and secondly the frustrations regarding Calzaghe refusing a rematch, must have added positive on Kessler, making him a better boxer, and wanting to be the best even more.
Kessler is in great shape, but he will have a lot coming his way before he can triumph as the best of them all, even if he is a favorite to win.

Kessler by decision. I'd love to see Ward pull it off but I don't think he is seasoned enough yet to deal with Kessler. I think Wards style & speed will cause problems early but down the stretch is where I see Mikkel pulling away. If he hurts Ward I think Andre will get on his bike & go into survival mode
I think Ward wins by split but judges give him unanimous.
Should be fairly competitive fight.

Less convinced about who will win, for some reason I'm leaning Ward (I just think there's something there, that he'll rise to the occasion but I freely admit that I'm not sure why I have that feeling). Kessler by decision is probably the safer pick but I'll stick with Ward unless Fenster picks him.

I like Ward. The x-factor is whether Ward has a glass jaw and on the same note, whether Kessler can actually land punches. Of course, Kessler has fought at a much higher level than Ward with wins over Andrade, Mundine, Beyer etc and thus he may be able to adjust better than Ward. However, Kessler's only defeat came against a faster fighter. Now, Calzaghe was an entirely different animal than Ward but still maybe Kessler has trouble with speed? not that he is much slower, if at all, than Ward.
Admittedly, I haven't seen much of Mundine. Are Ward and Mundine at all comparable?

just had the weigh in, apparently there was a bit of trash talking but it seemed forced and Ward didnt look comfortable with it

Glad they both made weight comfortably. The trash talk doesnt seem nessissary for this one though.
