Will Kevin Mitchell get what Amir Khan got if he wins will he get a rematch with Khan?
Prescott will win, I thought this fight is at lightweight so how do they actually think they can challenge Amir Khan?
Because Prescotts last fight was at 137lbs light Welterweight and his next fight was going to be Light Welter also but then this fight was made i think this is a win win for Warren and thats why he has made this fight if Mitchell wins he can try and make the Katsidis fight. If not move him up to fight Khan as Mitchell has said on numerous occassions he wants this fight and if Breidis wins he can stage the big money making rematch between Khan and Prescott.Quote:

Prescott wins inside the distance. Mitchell + rubbish defence + lots of big lightweight punches coming the other way = not nice for Mitchell.
I think Mitchell can beat him.
He's got a poor defense, which is obviously not good against a guy that can bang, but I think Mitchell is a proper little hard cunt and will handle it.
Take Prescott's KO of a china-chinned fighter off his record, is he really that much better than Mitchell?

Anywho got a go against a local lad and plum for prescott here, kevs a good fighter who can more than operate at world level. But he does have defensive issues that he still hasnt been able to eradicate and prescott is a big puncher.
Mitchell can dominate this guy over a 3minute period but eventually he is going to get caught clean and hard and if he is planning on winning this he`ll have to keep the contest clean and at a distance

I am a fan of Mitchell, really talented and exciting fighter but he should stay at his weight limit, he has plenty of time on his hands to improve. No need to rush him. What is Warren thinking?
He cant make the weight anymore mate, he was supposed to be fighting Burns at 130 but he cant shift the weight anymore, he is a big 130 lb fighter im not suprised and the lay offs wont have done him any good weight wise.Quote:

My first point is I was embarrassed and ashamed on how low Jim Watt & Ian Darke have sunk. These two are sooooo biased over their home fighters, it was that bad that I had to turn the pair off going into the 10th round of the Mitchell v's Prescott fight. The way they were praising Mitchel was absolute madness, I saw Prescott winning the first 4 rounds and then after it was a little better from Mitchell but Darke & Watt where exaggerating to say the least with Mitchells work. Khan and Warren pair up very nicey because they would screw your mum and then smile happily in your face. These two are a joke, the WBA is a joke and any one who thinks Khan is the next BIG thing after THAT performance is also a JOKE. What I witnessed last night was nothing more than a publicity stunt that went badly wrong and ALL TRUE boxing fans will NOT be fooled by this and will AGREE on where I am coming from on this. Any one who paid 15 pound for this no show performance must be waking up this morning feeling pretty foolish and hopefully learn from this and will never ever pay for this TRIPE AGAIN.

Well you may find an ally in Sumkalambay but I think you'll find the rest of the world thought Mitchell breezed it.
The first four rounds or so were a bit cagey but after that Prescott just looked totally outclassed to me........and I believe everyone else. :)

I was at the fight last night i had him winning by 4 rounds.
I thought Prestcott was going to be to big and strong for him, was a good fight imo.

WOW...what i saw was Mitchell running away for the first 4 rounds....then Mitchell winning the mid rounds cause Prescott was getting frustrated by Mitchell running like a scared WASHER WOMEN and then Prescott catching Mitchell up in the later rounds when Mitchell started fighting like a MAN.......this is what I saw....and I think it didn't help listening to Darke & Watts sucking up to a UK fighter and slagging off Prescott....these commentators should go work for HBO...so biased....its really BAD

But Breidis Prescott didn't land jack shit though. Kevin Mitchell landed all the eye catching punches, he made it his kind of fight. And he outlanded Breidis Prescott by atleast double, except for a cagey opening. Kevin Mitchell tactically dominated this fight.Quote:

Prescott threw 400 punches - landed 40. Mitchell threw 300 - landed 100.
I watched it in the pub and did not hear the commentary and my immpression was that it was close in the fisrt half of the fight but Mitchell pulled away in the 2nd half even though Prescot looked dangerous for the 12 rounds.

I agree with Otley on couple things. Commentary was very biased. THe scores were crap also. But I wouldn't say Prescott won. I had it 115-113 Mitchell but 11-1 for Mitchell is crazy
