Jones Jr v Danny Green-Who wins?
Who's gona win this fight guys?
-
Re: Jones Jr v Danny Green-Who wins?
Green is perfect for Jones jr, he will be easy to hit and he just doesn't haven't the ability of a Calzaghe to score enough to win a decision. Green hits hard and if he does land one then Jones jr will need to change the fight plan. He is 40 and has been KO'd big time twice before. Green always appears wooden to me with not much lateral movement. I hope he performs well enough to continue fighting. At least he is fighting someone good unlike his fellow Aussie combatant Anthony Mundine who knows every cab driver in South America by their first name!!

So he uses the public transport alot when he goes to South America, whats the big deal ;D

Re: Jones Jr v Danny Green-Who wins?
Jones by TKO, though I'll be cheering for Green to land a knockout punch.
-
Re: Jones Jr v Danny Green-Who wins?
I don't have a good feeling for Jones about this one. Green is no slouch.
-
Re: Jones Jr v Danny Green-Who wins?
I will go with Good ol Roy and then a rematch with the Executioner before the retirement:)
-
Re: Jones Jr v Danny Green-Who wins?
Green should serve as the prefect foil but really does not accomplish much for this shadow of Roy's legs we now know.Gets him a 5th weight division "title",cough and pray to god a final fairwell vs Hopkins.I think Roys playing with fire over all.
-
Re: Jones Jr v Danny Green-Who wins?
Im repeating myself as usual ;but God help us here in the land of Oz if Green does win!
We will have Ant honey Mundane trumpeting that he is and was always better than both of them.
-
Re: Jones Jr v Danny Green-Who wins?
I think it epends on how serious a threat Jones sees green as being, if he has taken him lightly on the back of his last win then he may get tagged and end u looking very silly indeed. Green can bang so watch out, I think that Jones has too much though and is too much of a pro to be looking too far ahead of who he is in with on the night.

Re: Jones Jr v Danny Green-Who wins?
I picked Jones by decision, but let me say this right now: An upset is not beyond the realms of possibility!!!
Go The Green Machine!!!
-
Re: Jones Jr v Danny Green-Who wins?
An old Roy Jones will win by stoppage against a bloody mess of Danny Green. Why are the press making out Jones will be the CW champ though???
-
Re: Jones Jr v Danny Green-Who wins?
I think Danny Green, will hit to hard for Roy Jones and will win by stoppage.Green will keep to much pressure on Jones.

He has a bit of difficulties knowing when to stop, sadly :(

It's also hard to find a cab in South America because all the drivers are lining up to fight Anthony Mundine!

I fear you may be right. I hope not though.

Re: Jones Jr v Danny Green-Who wins?
Just to follow up on my question though, is Danny Green the hardest hitter/puncher Roy has ever faced in his career?
-
Re: Jones Jr v Danny Green-Who wins?
Unless Jones gets caught while talking to the camera man he'll dominate this fight

marty rogan was a cab driver and he briefly dominated the hugely talented british domestic heavy weight scene...

Re: Jones Jr v Danny Green-Who wins?
Jones is way past his prime but has enough left to beat Green. I think Roy wins by decision. I wish he'd retire thought, what is he proving by continuing to fight. I think he just wants a few last paydays.
-
Re: Jones Jr v Danny Green-Who wins?
Jones wants that final showdown with Hopkins, not much time for either of them.
-
Re: Jones Jr v Danny Green-Who wins?
I hope Roy cruises to a UD.
I'm sick enough to want to see Roy-Hopkins 2.

I fucking very much doubt that!!
Mundine is useless, he pissed all over Green but got sparked col by a light hitting Ottke;D
Id say a top Calzaghe hits harder than Green, Joe had Eubank down Twice, whereas Green couldnt put a dent in Mundine, even Crazy Kim put that silly twaat on the floor;D
-
Re: Jones Jr v Danny Green-Who wins?
Only about six hours to go till the biggest fight in Aussie history, roy jones is the deserved favourite but danny looks confident going in to tonight, real confident.
Roy jones wouldn't want to take green lightly, having struggled against southpaws in the past (Tarver twice, Calzake humiliating him for 12 rounds) caus danny has been training southpaw a bit over the last year or so, saw footage of him the other night throwing a beutiful left cross roy may wan't to avoid.
Needless to say i smell a little upset in the air!
GO GREEN MACHINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Styles make fights, although mundine (Wanker) dominated Green for 11 of the 12 rounds, i think danny learnt from that dismal display.
I also hope this fight lives up too the expectation unlike the Green- Mundine Mundane crap we saw 4 years ago.

Re: Jones vs Green weigh in
What time pacific is this fight taking place?
-
Re: Jones vs Green weigh in
Green absolutely looked like he meant business in this weight-in to me. I think Jones underestimated him a little and thought he was gonna be able to plod around and outbox him. Boom....... Now its time for RJJ to retire. He was soundly schooled by Calzaghe a good stretch back, he should have called it a day then.....
