ONly once. When my parents divorced, a very very ugly war actually. We received a letter from the usher stating that if we didn't present ourself to the court, the police was coming to get us wrist in handcuffs (no joke, and it was coming from my Mom's lawyer). Quite scary stuff when you're not guilty of nothing and are only 19, especially as my main concern at the time was the condition of my 16 years old brother. Finally everything went ok and we didn't have to testify because of something I wrote but I've been at war 1 full year with my mom because of that though (and now, realizing backward how much of a dickhead and of an egoistical maniac my father is, I regret I kind of helped him on that day). Oh well. Other than that I've never been there.
Nope. But by the time i was 12 I had been brought home by the police for all sortsa stuff. Assault. Theft. Drug posession. Out after cerfew. Long list.
I did testify in court once. Called the cops on a guy beating the shit out of his girlfriend. I had just turned 13 then. After testifying he called me a rat outside the court house and said I should watch my back. He was about 25 yrs old or so. I saw him not long ago. I'm about a ft taller now and 35-40 lbs heavier. He was polite and apologized for the threat back then. :p
Haha, quickest way to get to know people.. Ask them their stories of going to court.. :)
Only on Jury service ;)
I go to court every day
A so-called Father had 14 counts of indecent assault against him.
He'd been messing with his daughter and two step-daughters over a period of about 10 years (collectively).
It was horrible really. The guy lived about 2-3 miles down the road to me. And i was actually shitting myself that i'd see him again one day... He looked like a nasty piece of work.
The worst thing was the look on one of his other daughters faces, who had actually come to give a character reference on his behalf... Without actually knowing what he was in the dock for.
She was so appalled & distraught, the Judge had to remove everyone to give her some time to let it all sink in.
To be honest, i don't think he was entirely guilty. The youngest of the three daughters (13 by the time of the trial) didn't really have much of a case imo but we let him hang for the lot.
I never found out he long he got. The court gave me the date for me to find out but i never did ???
I think I have been 5 times. :(
being once, got a prick of a judge and walked away with 2 convictions and heavy fines, what a wanker
Well I was a bit of a tearaway when i was a kid, and I first got in trouble as a 16 year old not proud of this but i was a little shit, my dad use to go out to the pub on a friday at about 9:30 and hed lock the car up in the garage so as soon as hed gone id take the car and then return it before he got home which was about midnight.
I was doing this for about 4 months going out picking girls and mates up thinking I was cool as fuck, then one night I went to a friends and left the car running thinking I was just knocking on his door then getting back in the car, but I went in his house forgot all about the car came out after about 10 minutes and it had been taken, I owned up straight away but as a young lad who paniced I didnt ring my dad to tell him I rang the police explained what I had done then I rang my Dad, after that he didnt get paid out for the insurance and the car was never found :(, I got a slap on the wrist for that from the courts.
The next two occasions were for fighting again when i was a teenager again not proud of that times at all, and the last two occasions were when i was selling stolen and fake goods the first time I was ordered to do 200 hours community service, the second time i was sentenced to 18 months in jail the main reason I was sent to jail was that I took the piss with the community order and had only completed 75 hours in two years and had breached it a couple of times ( not turned in without a valid reason and fined £100 each time) So the judge thought well community service hasnt done anything to stop him and he hasnt completed it so he sent me down and I did 9 months in jail between November 2007 and July 2008.
Not the best of historys :(.
Just been locked up for a night in Frankstons old jail, for D and D ,no court I got summoned but the cops said this is nothing if you dont fight it and dont show up it will get passed in or something so I took it from them and heard nothing more.
Young , dumb & enjoying the spirits with a chip on both shoulder....certainly wasn't church :-X
I've spent a couple of nights in the clink but I've never had to go to court. I've also been put in cuffs etc. on a couple of occasions, but was let go because while they knew I was guilty (and they were right), they couldn't find the evidence to arrest me.
That shit was a long time ago though.
When i was 14.
My sister wants to adopt and bring me to Colorado but my other sister didnt agree. So the judge asked me to choose :(
I've been arrested twice and been to court twice. Both times just cautioned.
Got caught stealing 3 pkts of Frys Creams in Woolworths, when i was 13, by two female store detectives. B*****ds called the Sweeney cos it was the stores policy to always prosecute. Was trying to give it the ol' James Cagney in the room at the back of the store until i seen the cops and near shit myself. Got a bit of a Goodfellas beating when i got home by my ma. She had a pair of hands like ray leonard when annoyed.
I was always in trouble as a kid, I didn't really sort out till about 17 when 2 of my teachers basically told me I could do a lot with my life or go to jail. I chose the former thankfully. I was in youth court a lot, have never been tried in the proper court, although I've been there for friends & as a witness for the defence (stop snitchin'). Only had two convictions when I was young, neither of which landed me inside, although I was put in Feltham on remand for a couple of weeks, but the CPS dropped the case. Not that I got compensated for it
Worst thing a judge can tell you "remanded without bail"
We could start a thread "Whos done the most sh!t and got away with it".
Guilty as charged your honor :wavey::fyou:
Once about 30 years ago,one of our mates had 60 thai buddah sticks for sale down the local pub we were all a big group back then about 20 of us.
Two lads got hauled out of the pub for past offences and dragged up to the local station in Frankston. We all followed cause our weekends fun was down the pants of one of the lads taken in (the sixty sticks). We were screaming for them to get let out bashing on the windeows and doors of the cop shop and the cops ended up comming out and trying to talk us down so they locked up our mates without searching them first cause of the amount of people banging and screaming and they called all units back to the sty. One mate a big fukker held the glass front doors closed and pissed through the crack right in front of the main desk.
this all worked a treat as we left peacably after too many cops came back and we got to smoke upas planned later that weekend.
Got in the papers too. local riot on police station.
I found it more embarrassing than anything else. People drive/walk by and yell shit and make fun of you and you can't do anything back. It's an extremely uncomfortable feeling, especially in public. Plus, in my experience at least, the cops make the cuffs so goddamn tight that it's actually quite painful.
I wasnt cuffed, cause there was three of them armed surrounding me but I had a few locals making the old ha ha you're going to hang by the neck charade at me when I got arrested in Penang on suspicion. Definatley a descending feeling being taken away. Cuffed must feel like you've lost all control to them.
