Bernard Dunne vs Ricardo Cordoba
Jamie Moore vs Ryan Rhodes
Tony Quigley vs Tony Dodson
Miguel Cotto vs Manny Pacquiao
Brian Viloria vs Ulises Solis
Marcos Maidana vs Victor Ortiz
Carl Froch vs Jermain Taylor
Irving Garcia vs Luis Carlos Abregu
Great fights they all had me on the edge of my seat.
The Williams-Martinez fight was awesome. Marquez-Diaz still tops it though.

I know I'm going against the grain a little bit here, but Marquez-Mayweather and Pacquiao-Hatton were the best fights for me.
Reason being is that I like to see special athletes dominate like there's no tomorrow. And both of these guys are special athletes that are on top of their game. It's really something to see them dominate like the way they did. An analogy I can make is like seeing Michael Jordan back in the day just have a monster game for the Chicago Bulls with his team blowing out the other team.

No one has mentioned Mosely vs Margarito in this thread yet, it was in 2009 although it seems old now since it was at the start of year, but I still think it was one of the best of the year.
. Fight of the Year: Bernard Dunne vs. Ricardo "Maestrito" Cordoba.
Dunne was dropped and hurt badly twice in the fifth round while his Panamanian opponent was decked in the third and then three times more in the eleventh round after which the fight was finally stopped in front of a roaring crowd in Dublin.
Runner-up: Ricardo "Mochuelo" Torres vs. Raul Pinzon
Decked in the first, fourth and seventh rounds, Torres was well behind going into the 10th and last round. Needing a stoppage, the Colombian bomber (are there any other kind) did a gut check and floored a gassed Pinzon three times in an amazing final round, The end came at 2 minutes and nine-seconds into the final stanza of this Barranquilla Barnburner.
Honorable mention:
Paul Williams vs. Sergio Martinez; a great bout fought at an uncommonly high skill level.
Paul Samuels vs. Cello Renda in a Brit dust up that featured a crunching double knockdown and brutal back and forth until Samuels stopped Renda in the fourth round of a true closet classic.

I enjoy watching Chad Dawson coming into his own. Hes being taught correctly to be an old school type fighter which gives hope for boxing. These old timers like Johnson and Tarver cant offset his skill set at all which tells you how much better he is than the other so called young great fighters that the old timers are "upsetting". I dont think Hopkins wants any part of Dawson.
