On that note Steve beating the Newcastle lad at short notice was a remarkable Cinderella story.

Was at all of steve robinsons world title fights apart from when he beat Davison and when he lost to Naz.
My brother and father went to the Naz fight but I was in army trainning so I missed it.

Lueshing-Saunders was brilliant... about 100 knockdowns ;D
Ayers-Rigby ending after the brutal war was amazing too. It was like they realised the war had gone to far

Re: Looking For Some British Closet Classics To Watch.
Anyone remember Del Bryan, southpaw black fighter who had a good punch and could be knocked down.

Yea i watched some Michael Brodie fights when i was younger, i was always a fan of his. Aswell as Paul Ingle he was one of my favorite, British fighters as a kid.
Also does anyone remember Carl Thompson vs Terry Dunstan ? i heard this had a double knockdown in the last round, it seems every fight Carl Thompson's in its a FOTY candidate.

You beat me to it - Check out some old Dunstan stuff. The guy is probably one of the most naturally talented British fighters never to win a world title (He was 1 round away!) - I sparred him a couple times when he was helping me out and he kicked my ass in the old 1900's queensbury stance (both fists facing towards yourself) and even did the running man at one point whilst jabbing me lol piss taker ;D

Re: Looking For Some British Closet Classics To Watch.
Yeah he was - Terry's still going. Beat Mickey Steeds last I believe in Alexandra Palace a month or two ago..I last saw him at Larry Olubamiwo's fight. Always funny - He just rips the piss out of me, he's a gent at heart though. Very nice guy.
