Manny Pacquiao files lawsuit against Floyd Mayweather over comments - ESPN
The fight is over guys. I seriously doubt if both will ever step into the ring together. This reminds me of Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens filing lawsuits to say they're not on steroids.
What a disgrace Pacquioa has become.
He's been drug tested many times and has always been clean - unlike Bonds and Clemens.

He could very well win if the case proceeds. Unvalidated claims of steriod use is a pretty good reason to file a defamation suit.

Hey, I'm with you on that, I want to see this fight just like everyone else. I wish the Nevada Commission would just make it a requirement and be done with it.
I feel the most for the Pacquaio fans that said all along, "Pac will take the random tests, he'll come up clean and he'll whoop Mayweather." I doubt any one of those things will happen now, never mind the lot.

The problem with Pacquiao is he wants all the talking to be done in the ring. The Law Suit is because he wanted to them to shut the hell up. Very, very dissapointing. I was hoping it wouldn't come to this and that somehow Pac would see sense and just take the test, but he is obviously at the point of no return and is in the process of alienating himself amongst serious boxing fans too. Nobody cares less about a Malignaggi fight. It is Mayweather/Pacquiao with the names together that the entire boxing world has been clamouring for and it has been selfishly taken away from us.
Shame on Manny Pacquiao. I have lost a lot of respect for him over this.

i cant find the logic here, if pac is really juicing then why not just go off peds for this fight go on take the tests youll test neg ofcourse then fight pbf. if he loses then be it, rather than cancel the fight then people will think that your guilty.

It's pretty well impossible to defend Pacquiao's actions as a fan of the sport foremost... A Law suit, really???? This drug test stipulation went from having the potential to set a GREAT precident for boxing, to a god awful one. How in the hell is Manny expecting to win this case? I don't think it's possible to spin it. I was one of Mayweathers biggest critics, but there is just no way to get on his case over this carry on. A request for absolute fairness in a fight is not something that can really be called into question, certainly not if you are a person of principles and with the knowledge that there are serious loopholes. Manny's sacrifice of the payday of a lifetime because he won't take a random test, is just incredible. And to try and sue everyone over it? Pac's team have become increasingly difficult to deal with in negotiations over time. But in this instance they have truly lost the plot.Quote:
