Adamek v. Estrada, Anyone else think Estrada may upset Adamek?

I am a big fan of Adamek. What's there not to like? But, I believe he's biting off more than he can chew fight at heavyweight. Estrada is a small heavyweight, but he is a heavyweight nonetheless and he'll be faster than Adamek and probably will punch harder. I could see Estrada pulling off the upset win and sending Adamek back down to cruiser. Even if Adamek squeeks by Estrada, he'll be viciously knocked out by Arreola in five or six.

No, I think Adamek wins this easily enough. Arreola is a tougher ask beyond that, but I don't really rate him all that highly as you know either. Adamek is taking a risk at heavyweight, but I think he has the goods to beat these two guys.

For Estrada to look good he needs to dominate with the jab, much like Kevin Johnson he doesn't have much else to work with. Although I think Estrada can take a few of the early rounds, I can't see him keeping Adamek off him enough to look like he's winning too much in the mid-late rounds. I don't think there will be a stoppage, but Adamek should win pretty comfortably on the cards.

I don't think Estrada will win but I think there's a chance he'll make Adamek look bad.

I'm not sure if he really does punch harder but I think he could pull off the upset.

Adamek should be ok...if Kevin Johnson KO'd the guy then Adamek should be able to stop him too.

I think Adamek vs Chambers would be a SOLID fight

Ah yeah, Devin Vargas....my bad....I totally get confused with some of the lackluster heavyweights America sent to the Olympics

Well anyway I would assume (having actually checked Boxrec this time) that if Travis Walker can outbox him then Adamek shouldn't have much trouble. Estrada isn't big, he doesn't have big power, and I just don't like his chances but anything can happen

To be fair Lyle, I remember seeing that fight as it was on an undercard of an Ornelas fight against someone & to be honest Estrada probably earnt a draw at least, it was quite clear he had more talent, Walker just had more experience. I also remember Andre Dirrell blitzing someone on that card & I got high on him & became convinced he was the second coming of Roy Jones :-\

But, back on Estrada, he's much better than he's getting credit for, he should beat Adamek on raw talent, but I'm personally starting to be suspicious of Adamek & his sudden 'growth'.

I think Adamek beats Estrada but probably not in exciting fashion. But Arreola will have his way with Adamek after round 3. I admire Adamek's heart but he is one fight away from biting off more than he can chew.

Is that 'Big Six' Estrada? I really really doubt he would beat Adamek.

Estrada can't hurt Adamek, he hits too soft and Adamek has a good chin. I think Adamek is gonna stop him Estrada has a heavyweight workrate(low), Adamek is like a light heavy with his pace.

I wouldn't bet a pair of used underwear on it.

I am not saying that because Adamek is one of my favorite fighter of the moment but I think he will just systematically break break Estrada and flat him down him around the 8. The best Estrada will do is to pop a few jab in his face and make Adamek just angrier.

I'm a big Adamek fan. Don't get me wrong. I just don't believe he belongs at heavyweight at all. When you're 6'1, its just a tough assignment to take on a big heavyweight. Maybe he gets out of this one unscathed, but he'll be sent back to cruiserweight as soon as he faces a true big heavyweight. Adamek punches accurately, but it's not like he is ultra-powerful. When he faces someone who can walk through his punches (Arreola) he'll have met his match.

Either way, I'll be at the Pru tonight for the fight. Anyone else gonna be there?

I do not disagree, I was just saying that Estrada is definitely not a problem for him as far as I see it. When he'll face an Arreola or a supersize monster, there we will know how much he's worth. I am confident he can do well but I don't think he can climb it up to world champion as long as some of the Klit will be there.

Estrada will possibly start off good early in the fight but Adamek will prevail, I just hope Adamek get's started earlier this time. I've noticed that he tends to not to get really going until the 4th/5th round for the most part. I think he needs to get int there and quickly work Estrada to the body.

With the new trainer in the corner I'm not really sure how that's gonna play out. Still I'm a on a predicting streak with Adamek since the 2nd Briggs fight.

I think it goes the distance. And I think Adamek takes a clear cut win after making some adjustments.
