Other than maybe Kelly Pavlik, Cris Arreola is generally the most hated American fighter we discuss on this board. But, I'll make the claim now: Arreola will walk through Adamek and end it within 7 rounds. It'll only last for as long as Adamek can stay away from Arreola. I'm a big fan of Adamek (I've seen him live twice) and I would favor him above some heavyweights, but a big :kebab:heavyweight (like Arreola) will eat him up.
I will admit that Adamek didn't look quite as good against Estrada as he should have, but I will give him the benefit of the doubt. He didn't take too many risks and got the job done. I still think Adamek can beat Arreola, but Adamek needs to raise it a notch. Arreola is a flabby breast and on that basis I can never rate him all that highly. He does pack a punch though.
You no what I was wrong, when this first broke I said Adamek would beat Arreola, I have to say im changing my mind im with you Rant, Chris is just to big to powerful for a fighter like Adamek.
I wouldnt be suprised if he finished him within 7 rounds.
Araeloae will batter him from start to finish which will definitely come within twelve rounds. A proper heavyweight with a big punch against a questionably blown-up light-heavy who isn't the world's best defensive boxer.
Yeah, I agree that Arreola will stop Adamek. Adamek has now bitten off more than he can chew. I admire his heart but Arreola is a bigger heavyweight who can punch and the pressure will be the end of Adamek. I hate to see this because I really like Adamek but his heart is too big for his body.
This will most likely be a short loud train wreck of a fight.Arreola does not have to be savvy in this one,just walk to Adamek and do what he does best,throw heavy leather with a passion,and Adamek soaks up to much and is not a huge puncher,He wont back up and he'll exchange...bad night for him when its all over.

Yea I don't really like Arreola but he can punch and Adamek is truly just blown up at Heavyweight, which can't really work for him given his style. To be honest I thought Minto showed to be p4p just as good as Arreola when they fought, which really doesn't speak much for the ability of the troll, but Adamek is even smaller naturally than Minto and probably not even as durable. It would certainly be an entertaining scrap while it lasted, but Adamek would get tagged to much down the stretch and I very much doubt he would really hurt Arreola enough to prevent this.
Yeah Minto gave almost as good as he took while it lasted. If he was a little bigger...

I don't think Vitali exposed him. Vitali is just a better fighter. I don't think Vitali could have had a wrong gameplan. If he'd stood and traded I think Arreola would have lost too. I have not seen any Adamek fights so i don't want to say but have read he gets hit a lot which is bad against a big guy like Arreola. Adamek should be a lot faster though but recent pic of him bulking up to 224 make me think he's approaching this the wrong way.
Adamek v Arreola is official for Cali 24th April so we have the two super six fights and this on HBO.
I agree. Vitali is just a better a fighter. Vitali used his height and reach to maintain his distance and beat Arreola. Other people boxed Arreola and Arreola knocked them out.Quote:

Adamek won't brawl with Arreola; his plan will be to keep on his feet and move in and out. The problem is that this will only be effective for a couple of rounds and then Adamek won't be able to keep Cris off of him and he'll be knocked out. I'll sig bet on this any day of the week. Miles?
Hmm, I must admit that I am not so sure about this now. Adamek needs to fight a disciplined fight for 12 rounds, whilst Arreola needs to plod forward and one sloppy mistake might give him the win. I'm going to watch more of Adamek and Arreola and let you know at some later point.Quote:

I definitely want Adamek to win and think he has the tools to pull off the win, but the Estrada fight made me think a bit more conservatively.
