Wayne Bridge makes himself unavailable for englands world cup

felt this deserved its own thread away from the actual footballing one...

story for those of you outside of britain is that a few weeks back englands (former) captain John Terry was caught having an affair with his team mate wayne bridges girlfriend and she then went on to reveal that while bridge was at chelsea she was also shagging a number of other footballers within the team behind his back.

Fabio Capello made the decision to drop john terry as england captain and that appeared to be the last of it. However this morning bridge has announced he will not play for england due to the surrounding furore of his personal life and there are now strong calls from certain sectors of our national media for terry to be dropped completely from the squad.



So sad that once again during world cup year our media do the upmost to sabotage englands world cup plans all in aid of being able to point the finger come the summer at someone when we do inevitably under acheive at a major finals.......AGAIN

Why on earth hasnt someone within the setup been able to devise the simple solution of having john terry and wayne bridge sit down and have it out man to man.

We`ve lost our captain, our only fit quality left back and the entire team is now split into two camps :(:(:(

Don't blame him, I wouldn't give that 2 faced cunt Terry the time of day, also I think it's a good thing as Bridge is shite.

Baines is a much better option.

Terrys list of offences over the past range from laughing with a teammate and making fools of themselves in an airport on the day of 9/11, getting thrown out of a nightclub for fighting, pissing all over the floor of a club.

A horrible vile human being. Mate of mine recollects the night he just happened to be in the same nightclub as john terry and terry was standing on tables chucking £20 notes onto a damp wet floor below him for others to fight over

He was really shit last season, but he's been good this season. He's put in some quality performances lately. I reckon he's better than Baines but i don't think there is much in it.

Gerrard plays that interchanging centre midfield role for liverpool briiliantly, i just dont buy this whole gerrard-lampard cannot work thing.

Gerrards the superior player anyway and we`ve more than enough talent on the right with young, milner, wright-phillips and dare i even say beckham.

It's not as simple as that. Barry will drop in to cover the area between the defence and midfield, which in turn will allow Gerrard to come in field a little bit, which in turn gives room for Cole to over-lap.

It's important that we have a player to drop in when we attack. That's wide Lampard and Gerrad cannot play central midfield roles together in a 4-4-2, as neither of them want to be curbing their attacking game.

I'd play Heskey up top but i'd definitely take Carlton Cole to SA.

I don't think SWP has got a hope of going thats probably our strongest posistion the right side, but I think Johnson could do a job on the left if needed, Cole has been shocking this season Downing not good enough imo and looks like Gerrard will be playing there.

Personally I don't think he should be going never mind being in the team he has been awful since he came back from his injury, he has few months to get his form back if he doesn't I wouldn't take him.

Villa have the best wide options in the country in milner and young. Said all along that young should start and that milner should get the second right sided slot.

Left side is such a problem for us - stewart downing is not the answer and never is going to be, joe cole is a complete no-no because you just cant keep him fit. Best left sided player in the league at the mo is etherington but you cant take him surely??

None of this John Terry stuff came as a surprise to me.

Only weeks before he got married a few years back he banged a girl i know over in Portugal.

There was even kids toys scattered about on the floor in his villa so he obviously doesn't give a flying fuck.

Told her a few days after she got back she could have made a fortune if she had pics and went to the tabloid newspapers or better still call his agent and tell him to pay you NOT to go to the press;)

Wayne Bridge pulling out of the England team is a pretty big blow imo and Ashley Cole is gonna be about 60% fit if he even makes it.

Yeah based on the fact that Walcott isn't firing at all, SWP isn't even getting in our team (because of Johnson) and Lennon probably won't play much before the WC. Young isn't playing well. Beckham doesn't offer much threat apart from set pieces. Milner is being used in the centre, so basically that leaves Downing...

So yeah, i'd take a chance on Johnson. It's less of a risk than taking Walcott was in 2006. He can cover both flanks.

This story is getting a bit tiresome now but from everything ive read ive come to 3 inescapable conclusions;
1. Terry is a dirty, dishonourable c**t

Actually, I think that Defoe should absolutely be at the attack of your english squad, he has a very good year and always seem to play with fire on his heels, Rooney-Defoe should be a good dart at the offense if for once Rooney can perform internationally as he does locally.

Stick Heskey into that mix...lads firing well of late!
