Dammit, its 20
Errrr.
1 in each multiple of 10 = 10
+ the other odd nine in the nineties (9)
= 19?
*** Edit****
Fuckit!!!! ''99 counts for two'' you already said that...! lol
20 then and fuck ya!
Doing it quickly I got 20
My mind just goes blank when I see maths threads like these. :-\
I put this up on my Facebook status.... 23 comments later someone got the right answer!! :o ;D
Someone actually answered 99!!!!! ;D ;D
Okay, some smart arse just commented that technically the FIGURE '9' appears 20 times but the NUMBER '9' only appears once.
;D Kunt has a point though...
11
Ok so its all in the wording its just fukking one. If you had written 9's its 11 you wrote 9 so that would one.
20
Once
20;)
3 men walk into a hotel. They shared a room that cost $30,each men paid $10. However, after they had paid and gone to their room. The manager told the front desk todays special is $25 a room. The manager told the front desk lady to give them their $5 back. The front lady could not figure out how would she split $5 to three men. So she just gave them $1 each, since 3 times 1 is $3 and that means each paid $9 equally. So how much did the lady keep out of the $30?
2 bucks. Guys paid 30 for the room, there is a 5$ discount so the room price = 25. Therefore, they received in total 5 back, giving them 1$ each means that out of the 5 bucks they had to receive back, they had 3 back so 5- 3 = 2.
So she took 2 bucks, it's just that the way the thing is phrased it looks tricky and it's a "false logic" thing since it is what they all receive back from a common pot of "returned change" :D
And I agree, 20 times the number 9.
19
Yeah it is. Sorry I'm using £'s it makes it simpler for me.
They pay £25 between them plus the £2 she keeps plus the £3 in change they get back is £30!
There is no missing £1;D
What a mind fukk that is! They paid 10 quid not 9 quid each. You don't have to try and get £30 as a total just because they initially paid £30
Right I need a drink
-Guys paid 10 each so 3x10 = 30
-They got a 5 bucks refund so 30 - 5 of refunds = 25 bucks for the room.
-The lady had to give them the 5 bucks extra, which comes back to the
3 guys.
- On the 5 bucks that come back to them, she gives them 1$ each
- 3 X 1 dollar = 3 bucks
- So 5 bucks that should be refund - 3 bucks that have been refund = 2
Therefore: Maid kept 2 bucks :)
The lady kept the remaining $2
