How often do you exercise in a week.
I do it 4 times a week, (Tuesday and Thursday on cross trainer, Friday 5 a side indoor football and Sunday 11 a side football).
I try to exercise Monday-Friday, but do skip some days according to how busy I am. Nothing too strenuous, just a few km on the exercise bike, some sit ups and a few weights on the arms. As it gets warmer I might start hiking one morning each weekend. I also walk everywhere which keeps me in relatively good nick.
I'm nowhere near as healthy as I was when I was in my teens though. Sport was an everyday part of my life then. I have little to no access to any sports anymore and that's a shame because that is a fun way to stay healthy. What I currently do is bloody boring and very solitary. Even listening to music becomes a chore when on the exercise bike. I would love to play football and cricket, but nobody seems to do that here. Even kids spend more time playing FIFA rather than getting out and playing proper.
i do 2 one hour workouts a week which mainly consists of heavyweights then i do 20 mins cardio to finish off
I do stone work, i come home ratted out.
I do lightbody expansion meditative exercises twice daily though.
Miles, I know what you mean about the exercise it is boring, I tend to do 10 second sprints on the bike for 35 minutes which is tiring and run on the cross trainer for 12KM in 37 minutes. The football is the proper work out and far more enjoyable, except the injuries.
I work out 5-6 days a week. I have two basic routines. One day I will do over and hour of cardio broken into two sections (two of running, the rowing machine, or the elliptical) and then the next day I will do over an hour of weights (on a series of weight machines, I'm just about to learn the proper free weight technique though) followed by half an hour on the elliptical. I also periodically attend workout classes at the gym.
Im up every morning Punching the Bag about. Then she gets up and makes Tea ;D
I cycle 30-40 minutes flat out 3 days a week (to work, stopping my road work mind... used to do a lot of sprint training). Sparring/boxing conditioning I try to do 2-3 times, twice a week I'll do some strength and power training, lots of olympic lifts, compound and explosive movements and spread through out all of that I do a lot of rehab work on the smaller muscles of my torn shoulder - looking to get back to competiting by the end of the summer.
On rest days I do a lot of foam rolling and stretching, I need to start swimming more because it's the one movement my body is poor at.
Monday - 4 Mile run
Tuesday - Rest
Wednesday - 60 mins on cross trainer
Thursday - 60 mins on cross trainer

Have stepped this up big time...got too old,too fat and too 'content' to think that just waking up was enough haa.Can change one of those but cant do shite about the age.Living for two now and its put the fire in me again.....amazing the energy level you find.Bike anywhere 7-10 miles every other day.Free weights, body work and heavybag every single night.Been taking herbals also.Getting my muscle mass back big time.Wont be the brick shithouse I was at say 20 again but what a feeling it is to need an XL not because of your gut but your shoulders haha
Not got any exercise for about 5 months and I'm just the same as when I was active as fuck. Good genes I suppose
I train 7 days a week. I run 3 miles every morning followed by a set of stomach and neck exercises. Monday will go too boxing gym for an hour and a half. Will do padwork, bagwork etc. Tuesday and Wednesday will do hard sparring. Thursday, light stuff, shadow boxing, technical stuff. Friday is circuit training.Saturday I'm sparring again. Then sunday will do a set of hill sprints.Thinking of bringing a bit more strength training into it.weights etc
How much weight you lost mate ?
And do you lift any weights ? if you do compound movements. Like Squats, Deadlifts, ETC. Then do some cardio after. Thats a brilliant fat burner, also do short burst's. Like trying running at full speed for 1 minute, or running on the spot at full speed for 1 minute.
Then have a 30 second rest and repeat for like 5 sets or whatever, its actually better than the steady cardio of jogging at a steady pace for 10 mins or whatever. But if you like doing your jogging, try and mix it up. Like do a burst for 30 seconds. Then rest for a minute and repeat.
As for the topic i used to like doing heavy lifting, in my shed. But now i do the machines at the gym. I also like to go swimming very often. I like to do it especially after just finishing my gym workout, there's nothing more freshing. And i like to do some running every now and again. And also riding my bike in the mornings when i have to do the shopping.
I use to do 10 second sprints, 30 seconds are a killer, I would only end with that in a session.
I lift weights 5 days a week. I mainly focus on my upper body as I dont really have the facilities to do legs eg squats and leg presses...do deadlifts though. I do one body part a day eg chest on monday, abs on tuesday, biceps on wednesday, back/shoulders on friday, triceps on saturday ( I find seperating Bicep and Tricep workout enables you to get more out of them instead of being fatigued coz the other part of your arm just got worked to shit).
I lift weights, do resistance drills, hit the heavy bag/speed bag/focus mitts, and do a sprawl drill. I do this at least 5-6 times a week. The one thing I've been slipping on the last two weeks is roadwork, which I am trying to incorporate back into my daily routine.
I have very limited time to exercise:
Friday, Sunday and Tuesday= Weighted dips 5 x 3
Supinated chins 5 x 10-6
3 mins. rest between sets
Saturday, Monday and Wednesday= treadmill run at flat level
set at 7.6 mph for 2 miles
strength training= 30 mins.
cardio=less than 16 mins.
I train anything between 2 - 4 times a week. Mainly hour long weight sessions but I've started running a lot lately. I also do road running now the weather is dry but usually I do around 5k in just under 25 mins - this is around 1 - 3 times a week. I work weekends/shifts so I find it hard to get into a decent routine.
