Who do you see winning the fight and how ?
Dirrell has the speed and power to really bother abraham, the question is whether he can keep up the pace for 12 rounds while the bull Abraham comes at him. Dirrell seriously buzzed Froch so he has some pop (plus he has blinding speed so his punches are hard to see). I am hoping Dirrell learned from the Froch fight that he shouldnt be afraid to sit down, hold his ground and let those hands go.....I believe Andre could have stopped froch if he stood his ground more and threw those combos, but I think he was nervous being on the big stage and maybe was unsure if he could take the shots from Froch so played keep away a bit too much.
I think Abraham will start slow as usual, the flashy dirrell with take rounds early and dirrell WILL have the stamina to keep it up for 12 rounds. I am also thinking Dirrell will hurt/buzz Arthur at some point in the fight....
I have Dirrell by a decision.
AA win win a decision, Dirrell to blow it again.
Dirrell is going to outwork Abraham for the decision.
Even direll is picking abraham.
I see this fight as a boy vs a man kind of fight. Dirrell jumps out to an early lead looks great but Abraham slowly wears him down and then finishes him Abraham KO 11
I go with Abraham by UD with Dirrell being knocked down at least once.
It wouldn't surprise me to see Dirrell take a UD here by sticking outside and moving a lot while keeping Abraham at bay with jabs etc. but I can't see him staying away for the full fight. At some point Abraham starts to catch up with him and stops him late.
If Abraham is able to connect a few times correctly, it's bed time for baby Andre otherwise, if Andre is able to just jab and run around, he'll school Abraham in a boring way to earn the UD
Dirrell fights scared like he did against Froch in a close fight and gets a hometown decision. I'm hoping to see Abraham spark him though.
I'm still trying to differentiate between Ward and Dirrell, but I think Abraham can take him out. If Direll fights scared against Froch then it should be comedic against Abraham.
I actually don't think he'll fight scared against Abraham at all. If he was scared of Froch, his confidence could only have gone up considering he demonstrated he has the skills to hang with the divisions upper echelon and only lost on the wrong side of a very disputed decision.
Aa Ko 9
I have Dirrell by UD. But I think this fight will see some excitement because Dirrell does see the opportunities in Abraham's style and he knows he has to take more chances. He will feel Abraham's power but Dirrell will box circles and win most of the rounds. Of course Abraham has the power to stop anybody in the division with one shot. But I stick to Dirrell by UD.
Dirrell is the type of fighter who could humiliate Abraham and give him a boxing lesson. If he has a game plan, then he needs to keep the fight at range, get real leverage in his punches and punch with bad intentions and he could take out the slow, one paced Abraham. However I don't think this will happen. Abraham is as strong as an OX and I think just the sheer psychological and physical effect of running away from Abraham, that Dirrell will more than likely do will tire him and slow him down and cause Abraham to stop him later on.
I picked Dirrell on this one. I thought AA had alot of problems with Jermain until the later rounds and Dirrell is every bit faster and much slicker than Jermain was. The only thing I am not to sure about is Dirrell's chin. I am still not a believer in his jaw but I think he can box at a safe distance and keep AA from landing those hard blows. UD for Dirrell.
I dont think you can call a fighter that has explosive bursts "one paced."
The fact Abraham goes 0-60 in 3.5 seconds is what makes him world-class. Without that burst then he'd just be a one-paced plodder.
Good point Fenster
This is what makes the fight so intruging. Half the people are saying Abs by KO the other half saying Dirrel on points. Im split too. Cant wait to see the battle lines drawin. I can even see a lopsided verdict for Dirrel if Abs just cant figure him out , summat like 110-118. From what weve seen though Abs is better than that. Last time he fought in America he shot of the blocks and went straight after Miranda blowing him away early. Im failry certain that Abs can hurt Dirrell but Dirrel cant hurt Abs.
Ill make the final prediction after the weigh in. Cannot wait ! Best match up of the year so far.
For a guy whos scared of getting hit, he must be having nightmares watching Abs Kos like these.

haha that video has the most terrible music ever.
Dirrell wins early rounds due to abraham starting slow.
Abraham pickz it up wearz him dwn bombin the body.
Dirrell is stopped due to punishment TKO.
Abraham has juzz been in tougher fightz Dirrell not even close.
Abraham wins 11 or 12 by TKO.
Jermain could have beaten AA. He was doing ok till he got laid out. Though I still thought Taylor was losing at the point anyway but he was hanging in there. Andre Dirrell will box circles around AA and his stamina won't be an issue like Taylor's. I am going with Dirrell in a wide UD.
Dirrell 10-2 maybe 9-3
Dirrell is a natural 168 lber and Abraham is a 160 lber....
Dirrell has been fighting his whole career against bigger men......
Dirrell is the most athletically gifted guy in the division but I'm not sure that matters so much, there is going to be a test of his fortitude in this fight. Dirrell is so tense in the ring and Abraham is so patient and relaxed, he's an excellent fighter with a punch that should scare Dirrell. I am picking Dirrell purely on loyalties to my country and because I know he has the ability, putting it together against Abraham is different though. It's a close fight, 50/50. Unlike others I can see Abraham winning a decision if he lands a few big shots a round and Dirrell doesn't land through the guard. Dirrell will surely be more active that doesn't mean he's automatically going to be winning those rounds.
If Abraham covers up, doesn't look to exchange and lulls Andre Dirrell into thinking that Abraham has morphed into Victor Oganov then it will be a short night for the Matrix. He has to fight close to a perfect fight while Abraham doesn't.
If Dirrell couldn't comprehensively outpoint Froch, he won't do it to Abraham.....at least without some help from the judges.
But he did ;D I can't agree with a card that gives Froch more then 3 rounds, each for when Froch landed a punch.
I had Andre Dirrell outpointing Carl Froch big time aswell, but to my amazement. When i looked at the punchstats, they had Carl Froch outlanding Andre Dirrell by 48 punches.
That just goes to show you that punchstats can indeed be useless. Because all i see Carl Froch landing was mostly rabbit shots, it was a bad display from both fighters. But theres no doubt in my mind Andre Dirrell outboxed Carl Froch, and deserved the nod.
Really, really tough choice here for me but I got Dirrell squeaking in...
I'm going to sticky this and make it the official fight talk thread.
Dirrell on points. He's just going to outwork and frustrate Abraham IMO. Hope I'm wrong.
There should be a "depends on how direll fights" button. If he actually tried direll would have a pretty good chance. But if he doesn't this will be a boring as hell fight and abraham will tag him but it will go the cards for abraham.
Im kinda pumped for this fight.... I have an strange suspicion that something wonderful is about to happen :D
Woah... who's the dude throwing those lead-rights like that?
Nice. Ninja Mods in effect...
Abraham by stoppage.
What's going on? "Sit up straight, ahem, ahem"...........they don't know they are on air?
no undercard. Straight to the main event !!
